When on the Dictionary-interlinked page, use your browser's Find by pushing down the Ctrl key and the F key. When you do this, the tiny Find function window, usually at the top or bottom of your browser's window, will open with a space that you'll use to type.
Type in two, three or four letters of the word you want and then look at the similar words to the highlighted one, to find the particular word you want. You can also set the Find command in your browser so it highlights all words with what you may have typed.
Depending on which browser you may currently be using, the Find function will open a space either at the top or the bottom of your browser.
Click on the word you want and it will take you to the explanation for that word.

You can download just the dictionary. It too is free! When the window comes up from clicking the link here to download, select Save file, then a window comes up for you to select where on your computer you want this file saved to. If you don't specify where you want it to go, it will go to your Downloads folder. There you can Extract it in Windows by right clicking your mouse and selecting 'Extract all' and you should be good to go by opening the extracted file in your browser, which needs Internet connection for proper functioning. It will work online also.
You can also use HHtrack to download the whole site (takes a while), but you need to be Internet connected for it to then function properly.
