"Everything Grabovoi predicted came true. The government run Rossiyskaya Gazeta, number 18, January 30, 1998 published an article 'Quiet Sensation: Tomorrow's Catastrophe Is Prevented'.
   Confirmed at the highest political level was the fact Grigori Grabovoi identified the specific defect at the Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant in Bulgaria which could have led to a nuclear disaster equal to many Chernobyls. The catastrophe which Grabovoi succeeded in preventing was dangerous to the entire world. Scientific calculations showed that in the event of such a nuclear explosion, the proximity of underground layers of high conductivity would lead to emergence of a vacuum drain that would suck in the Earth's atmosphere.
   Due to high velocity.particles, this drain would have dispersed the planet into a cloud of dust by the year 2000 and it would be impossible to stop a destructive process of such magnitude by means or modern technology.
   Grigori Grabovoi received multiple awards from governments and NGOs in many countries for preventing this and other potential global disasters."
