-Emmanuel heals
a man with
leprosy:.Matthew
8:1-4 "When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed
him. And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying,
Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Emmanuel put forth his
hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his
leprosy was cleansed. And Emmanuel saith unto him, See thou tell no man;
but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses
commanded, for a testimony unto them." Mark
1:40-45 "And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling
down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
And Emmanuel, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him,
and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean. And as soon as he had spoken,
immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed. And he
straitly charged him, and forthwith sent him away; And saith unto him,
See thou say nothing to any man: but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest,
and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony
unto them. But he went out, and began to publish it much, and to blaze
abroad the matter, insomuch that Emmanuel could no more openly enter into
the city, but was without in desert places. And they came to him from every
quarter." Luke
5:12-15 "And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold
a man full of leprosy, who seeing Emmanuel fell on his face, and besought
him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And he put forth
his hand, and touched him, saying, I will. Be thou clean. And immediately
the leprosy departed from him. And he charged him to tell no man. But go
and shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing, according
as Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them. But so much the more went
there a fame abroad of him. And great multitudes came together to hear
and to be healed by him of their infirmities."
-Emmanuel heals a paralytic:.Matthew
9:1-8 "And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his
own city. And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying
on a bed. And Emmanuel seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy;
Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee. And, behold, certain
of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth. And Emmanuel
knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts? For
whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise,
and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on Earth
to forgive sins, then saith he to the sick of the palsy Arise, take up
thy bed, and go unto thine house. And he arose and departed to his house.
But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which
had given such power unto men." Mark
2:1-12 "And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it
was noised that he was in the house. And straightway many were gathered
together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much
as about the door. And he preached the word unto them. And they come unto
him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne.(carried).of
four. And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press.(crowd),
they uncovered the roof where he was. And when they had broken it up, they
let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay. When Emmanuel saw their
faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.
But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their
hearts, Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? Who can forgive sins
but God only? And immediately when Emmanuel perceived in his spirit that
they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these
things in your hearts? Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy,
Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?
But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on Earth to forgive
sins, he saith to the sick of the palsy, I say unto thee, Arise, and take
up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house. And immediately he arose,
took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were
all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion."
Luke
5:17 "And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that
there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come
out of every town of Galilee and Judaea and Jerusalem. And the power of
the Lord was present.('present'
not in original).to
heal them." Luke
5:18-26 "And, behold,
men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy. And they sought
means to bring him in, and to lay him before him. And when they could not
find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they
went upon the housetop and let him down through the tiling with his couch
into the midst before Emmanuel. And when he saw their faith, he said unto
him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee. And the scribes and the Pharisees
began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can
forgive sins, but God alone? But when Emmanuel perceived their thoughts,
he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts? Whether is
easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk?
But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon Earth to forgive
sins, he said unto the sick of the palsy, I say unto thee, Arise, and take
up thy couch and go into thine house. And immediately he rose up before
them, and took up that whereon he lay and departed to his own house, glorifying
God. And they were all amazed and they glorified God and were filled with
fear.(great
respect), saying, We have seen strange
things to day."
-Emmanuel heals a withered
hand:.Matthew
12:9-14 "And when he was departed thence, he went into their synagogue.
And, behold,
there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying,
Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him. And
he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one
sheep and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold
on it, and lift it out? How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore
it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days. Then saith he to the man,
Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored
whole, like as the other. Then the Pharisees
went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him. Mark
3:1-6 And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man
there which had a withered hand. And they watched him, whether he would
heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him. And he saith unto
the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth. And he saith unto them,
Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life,
or to kill? But they held their peace. And when he had looked round about
on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he
saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out.
And his hand was restored whole as the other. And the Pharisees went forth,
and straightway took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might
destroy him." Luke
6:6-11 "And it came to pass also on another sabbath, that he entered
into the synagogue and taught. And there was a man whose right hand was
withered. And the scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal
on the sabbath day; that they might find an accusation against him. But
he knew their thoughts, and said to the man which had the withered hand,
Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth. Then
said Emmanuel unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the
sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy it?
And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch forth
thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
And they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they
might do to Emmanuel."
