-If we are not to
be afraid.(Revelation
21:8).why
are we instructed to fear God? Is this another kind of fear?
Fearing God has to do with
reverence
or respect for just how
incredibly great, powerful and in control of all that God is:.Ephesians
5:21.
The Infinite tells is in
Matthew
10:31 not to fear, as He is in charge of looking after us. There is
no fear when we realize that the
real us is beyond
time bound experience.
One cannot be aware of any
spiritual activity in his life when acting from the
ego level. He may at times get flashes of inspiration, quiet still
promptings from the soul when the ego is quiescent.
As powerful
as He is, His love predominates,
thankfully!.1John
4:8,16.
He gave us the gift of righteousness
made possible by the sacrifice of His Son, Emmanuel the Christ.(God
who became physical), so that we too
could have an ongoing relationship with Him and have no fear of retribution
and guilt for faults that cause us to still miss the mark.(sin):.1John
1:8; 2:1.
Because of what
Christ did, sins can not be held against us. Because of this, no fear
should exist in you, only joy:.1Peter
1:8 "Whom having not seen, you love; in whom, though now you see him
not, yet believing, you rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory.".Christ
did incredible things for us, all in accordance with the Father's will
and love toward us.
-How are we to fear God
so our prayers will be answered? Hebrews
5:7
The word 'fear' here, means
'to receive', 'to take well hold of '. Emmanuel accepted.(received,
took well hold of, believed).the
Father was pleased
with Him. There were no miracles done by Emmanuel until after the time
of this scripture.
-If Emmanuel strong crying
was heard by God, why didn't it do any good? Hebrews
5:7
As the verse says, God heard
Him, and was able to save Him, but didn't. Why?
-Job
3:25 When I read this, I am fearful of fearing!
This was Job's observation
of his life. It is not a spiritual law.
If we all would
have experienced the fears we had as kids, we wouldn't have made it to
adulthood. None of the bad people I imagined that were under my bed have
ever been realized.
