About
Zechariah
Zechariah
1:1,2 In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word
of the Lord unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet,
saying, God has been sore displeased with your fathers.
Zechariah
1:3 Therefore say you to them, This says God, Turn yourself unto me
and I will turn unto you.
Zechariah
1:4 Be you not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets
have cried, saying, Thus says God, Turn you now from your evil ways and
from your evil doings. But they did not hear nor hearken unto me, says
the Lord.(Deuteronomy
5:29).
They
wanted nothing to do with the one and only true loving, compassionate
and caring God
of the multiverse:.Jeremiah
6:10,15-17. Too
bad for those who were so stupid.
Many want the easy ride, the entertaining ride, in their avoiding the learning
path of right and wrong. They waffle
between existence and being entertained.
Zechariah
1:5 Your fathers, where are they and the prophets, do they live for
ever?
John
8:53.
Zechariah
1:6 But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the
prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? And they returned and
said, Like as God thought to do unto us, according to our ways and according
to our doings, so has he dealt with us.(Malachi
3:6: Hebrews 13:8).
The
multiversal
law of 'one reaps what he or she may have sown' (Luke
5:32) set up before humans were made, is an inexorable
law.
Zechariah
1:7 Upon the four and twentieth day of the eleventh month, which is
the month Sebat, in the second year of Darius,
came the word of God unto Zechariah,
the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,
Zechariah
1:8 I saw by night and behold a man riding upon a red horse and he
stood among the myrtle trees that were in the bottom and behind him were
there red horses, speckled and white.
Zechariah
1:9 Then said I, O God, what are these? And the
angel that talked with me said unto me, I will show you what these
be.
Zechariah
1:10 And the man that stood among the myrtle trees answered and said,
These are they whom God has sent to walk to and fro through the Earth.
Zechariah
1:11 And they answered the angel of God that stood among the myrtle
trees and said, We have walked to and fro through the Earth and behold,
all the Earth sits still and is at rest.
Zechariah
1:13 And God answered the angel that talked with me with good words
and comfortable words.
Zechariah
1:16 Therefore thus says God, I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies.
My house shall be built in it and a line shall be stretched forth upon
Jerusalem.
Zechariah
1:17 Cry yet, saying, Thus says God, My cities through prosperity shall
yet be spread abroad and I shall yet comfort Zion
and shall choose Jerusalem.
Zechariah
2:4,5 And said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem
shall be inhabited as towns without walls for the multitude of men and
cattle therein. For I, God, will be unto her a wall of fire round about
and the glory in the midst of her.
Zechariah
2:6 Ho, ho, come forth and flee from the land of the north.(Babylon,
whom ancient
Israel was always at war with), says God, for I have
spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven.
Jeremiah
23:8. And from Barnes
Notes: The north country, although its capital and center was Babylon,
was the whole Babylonian empire, called 'the North' (Jeremiah
1:13,14; 3:18; 6:1;
23:8)
because its invasions always came upon Israel from the north.
Isaiah
52:11.
Zechariah
2:11 And many nations shall be joined to God in that day and shall
be my people and I will dwell in the midst of you all. You shall know that
God has sent me unto you.
Zechariah
2:12 And God shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land and shall
choose Jerusalem again.
Zechariah
3:1 And he showed me Joshua
the high priest standing before the angel of God and Satan standing
at his right hand to resist him.
The
devil is ready always to be one's adversary.
Zechariah
3:2 And God said unto Satan, I rebuke you, O Satan. I have chosen Jerusalem,
a firebrand.raked
out of the fire?
Ancient
Israel and Judah were plucked 'out of the fire' many times:.2Chronicles
36:10. And also those of spiritual
Israel today. Who
may they be today and where?
Zechariah
3:9 For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone
shall be seven eyes. Behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, says God
and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.
Zechariah
3:10 In that day, God says, shall you call every man his neighbor under
the vine and under the fig tree.
A
time of peace:.Micah
4:4; Zechariah 8:5. The
time of the real true God's reign on Earth.
Zechariah
4:1,1 And the angel that talked with me came again and waked me as
a man that is wakened out of his sleep, And said unto me, What see you?
And I said, I have looked and behold a candlestick all of gold with a bowl
upon the top of it and it has seven lamps thereon and seven pipes go to
the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof.
Zechariah
4:3 And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl
and the other upon the left side thereof.
Zechariah
4:4,5 So I answered and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying,
What are these, my lord? Then the angel that talked with me answered and
said unto me, Know you not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.
Zechariah
4:6 Then he answered and spoke unto me, saying, This is the word of
God unto Zerubbabel, saying,
Not
by might, nor by power, but by
my spirit.
Note,
the real power in the multiverse and our lives is the
Holy Spirit of the true God of all life and creation
and that's inside you.
Zechariah
4:7-14 Who are you, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel
you shall become a plain and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof
with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it. Moreover the word of God
came unto me, saying, The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation
of this house. His hands shall also finish it and you shall know that God
has sent me unto you. For who has despised the day of small things? for
they shall rejoice and shall see the plummet
in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven. They are the eyes of God, which
run to and fro through the whole Earth. Then answered I and said unto him,
What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and
upon the left side thereof? And I answered again and said unto him, What
be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the
golden oil out of themselves? And he answered me and said, Know you not
what these be? And I said, No, my lord. Then said he, These are the two
anointed ones, that stand by the God of the whole Earth.
Zechariah
5:1-11 Then I turned, and lifted up mine eyes and looked and behold
a flying roll. And he said unto me, What see you? And I answered, I see
a flying roll; the length thereof is twenty cubits and the breadth thereof
ten cubits. Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goes forth over
the face of the whole Earth. For every one that steals shall be cut off
as on this side according to it and every one that swears shall be cut
off as on that side according to it. I will bring it forth, said God and
it shall enter into the house of the thief and into the house of him that
swears falsely by my name and it shall remain in the midst of his house
and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof. Then
the
angel that talked with me went forth and said unto me, Lift up now
your eyes and see what is this that goes forth. And I said, What is it?
And he said, This is an ephah that goes
forth. He said moreover, This is their resemblance through all the Earth.
And, behold, there was lifted up a talent of lead and this is a woman that
sits in the midst of the ephah. And he said, This is wickedness. And he
cast it into the midst of the ephah and he cast the weight of lead upon
the mouth thereof. Then lifted I up mine eyes and looked and behold, there
came out two women and the wind was in their wings, for they had wings
like the wings of a stork and they lifted up the ephah between the Earth
and heaven. Then said I to the angel that talked with me, Whither do these
bear the ephah? And he said unto me, To build it an house in the land of
Shinar.(ancient
name for the area later known as Babylon
and Chaldea).and it shall be
established and set there upon her own base.
