-Is the velocity
of light.(ldolphin.org/constc.shtml).a
constant in time?.(physics
anyone?)
-What does it mean in John
1:9 that He was the true light?
-How does one be a light
to others and how does Matthew 5:16,
about letting one's light shine, square with Matthew
6:1-4, about doing your works in secret?
Let those you help get to
know you, but don't go around telling others to your glory:.1Thessalonians
5:12 "And we beseech you brethren, to know them which labour among
you and are over.(original
'stand in front', as in teaching).you
in the Lord and admonish.(original
'give understanding').you".and
Matthew
6:3 "But when you do alms,
let not your left hand know what your right hand does."
Whatever we do we do not
wait to do it when man would notice it, as the Pharisees did:.Matthew
23:5. They did things and held off doing things till just the right
moment when the attention would shine on them. Just do it! Our attitude
is:.1Corinthians
10:31.
We can let our light shine.
Be involved with society and show forth love.(John
13:35), which is the character
of love you possess:.1Peter
2:9.
You are being a light by applying the things of love
you understand. Be a good example. How?
Psalms
40:3 "And he has put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God.
Many see it and fear and shall
trust in the Lord."
-Being a light to others.(Matthew
5:14).involves
being friendly as it seems to say in James
4:4?
It simply means that God
only
deals with equals on the high standard spiritual plane. Read the relevant
text where the links take you and read James 4:4 again, noting the verse
is addressed to those still
mentally 'in the world', still influenced by the
mass mind of humanity and still having negative clouds around them.
Pick your friends
carefully while on Earth. Consider, is this person one you want to have
for a friend for eternity, for if and when they and you pass on, guess
what?
A good friend is one who
cares for you, one which you feel comfortable with, one who is trustable
and who adds to you in many ways, one who is 'all for you'; one who has
the 'tools' to make possible a better you. Look for friends who feel and
sense what you carry in your heart. This is called rapport.
Most are like:.Proverbs
23:7 "...Eat and drink, says he to you, but his heart is not with
you."
Job
6:14,25-27; Psalms 35:14; 41:9;
Proverbs
6:1-3; 17:18;
19:6;
22:11;
27:6,9,10,17.
Proverbs
18:24 "A man that wants friends must show
himself friendly and there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother."
