James
3:1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive
the greater condemnation.
James
3:2 For in many things we offend all.(learn
conversation). If any man offend not in word the same
is a perfect man and able also to bridle
the whole body.
Word
'offend' here in original is 'fall from', fall from what?.Philippians
2:2,3.
James
3:3-5 Behold.(take
note, consider) we put bits in the horses' mouths that they
may obey us and we turn about their whole body. Behold also the ships which
though they be so great and are driven of fierce winds yet are they turned
about with a very small helm whithersoever the governor listeth.(wherever
the one in charge of the steering decides to go). Even so
the
tongue is a little member and boasts great things.(can
bear one loftily; make him appear greater than what he knows himself to
be). Behold.(or,
'be aware of'), how great a matter a little fire kindles!
A
little match can cause a forest to burn, likewise the power of the tongue
when it comes to matters of life's interactions.
James 3:6 And the tongue is a fire a world of iniquity.
So is the tongue among our members that it defiles the whole body and sets
on fire the course of nature and it is set on fire of hell.
James
3:6 And the tongue is a fire a world of iniquity.(the
evils of the world begin with the tongue expressing wars, robbery, deceit,
etc.). So is the tongue among our members that it defiles the whole
body.(the person with
foul speech, lies, slander is often regarded by those of higher
standards, as base, uncultured, etc.).and
sets on fire the course of nature.(original
'the wheel of birth'; that is, his undisciplined tongue is burning away
any heritage of decency
that others may have hoped for in him).and
it is set on fire of.(or
'by').hell.(where's
this place called hell?).
James
3:7,8 For every kind of beast and bird and serpent and of things in
the sea is tamed and has been tamed of humanity. But the tongue can no
man tame. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. For every kind of
beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea has been
tamed of mankind:
The
word translated into English as 'mankind' is different in the original
from the word 'men and 'man'' which come from the original
Hebrew word 'adam'. Other words used in the Bible and translated 'men'
and 'man' trace down to the original word from which we get 'enigma'.
One has to check the original words to try to put together if the differences
are referring to Almighty God's creation or the counterfeit creation as
explained
here.
James
3:9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father and therewith curse we
men.(Proverbs
25:8; 1Peter 3:10,15),
which are made after the similitude
of God.
What's
God look like?
James
3:10 Out of the same mouth proceeds blessing and cursing. My brethren
these things ought not so to be.
James
3:11 Does a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?
Showing
that there is no oneness at this level of living. We have two
natures. Which one we feed is us at any one time:.Matthew
6:23.
James
3:12 Can the fig tree my brethren bear olive berries? Either a vine
figs? So can no fountain at the same time yield salt water and fresh.
James 3:13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge
among you? Let him show out of a good conversation his works with meekness
of wisdom.
James
3:13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? Let him
show out of a good
conversation.(word
'conversation' is old English for 'conduct'; it's not what you say, it's
what you pray:.Matthew
6:5,6;.'better
to shut up and pray than to drive them away'; let others get to
know you, more than they hear you {1Peter
3:15} because just being around them makes a difference for good in
their soul).his works with meekness
of wisdom.(*).
James
3:14 But if you have bitter envying
and strife in your hearts, glory not and
lie not against the truth. Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the
world is the enemy of God.
James
3:15 This wisdom descends not from
above, but is Earthly, sensual,
devilish.
James 3:16 For where envying and strife is, there
is confusion and every evil work.
James
3:16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion.(confusion
is a tool of the dark side:.1Corinthians
14:33).and every
evil work.
Many words
have been surreptitiously
altered so those in a position to have done that, can manipulate
the common people. One example.
James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first
pure then peaceable, gentle and easy to be intreated full of mercy
and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.
James
3:17 But the
wisdom that is from above is first pure then peaceable, gentle and
easy to be intreated.(easy
to be intreated means to be kind, agreeable, approachable,
allows others access type of attitude, that is, 'doesn't shove others away'
and not being contentious).full
of mercy and good
fruits, without partiality
and without hypocrisy.
James
3:18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make
peace.
How?
By making peace with yourself
first.
