Proverbs
25:6,7.
Matthew
18:1-4 "At the same time came the disciples unto Emmanuel, saying,
Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? And Emmanuel called a little
child unto him and set him in the midst of them and said, Verily
I say unto you, except you be converted.(original
'a turning', a change, which is what the word 'repent' means, a decision
to change).and
become as little children you cannot enter into the
kingdom of heaven.(the
spiritual realm
of the Creator). Whoever therefore
humbles
himself as this little child the same is greatest.(humility
gives one maturity).in
the kingdom of heaven." 1Peter 3:4
"But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible.(the
spirit
in you), even the ornament of a
meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price."
Emmanuel when on the Earth
was humble:.Matthew
12:20 "A bruised reed shall he not break and smoking flax shall he
not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.".Abbott's
Illustrated New Testament:."The
bruised reed and smoking flax are emblems
of helplessness, dejection and sorrow. The images are expressive of the
mildness and gentleness with which Emmanuel instills truth into the minds
of his followers and of the tender care which he exercises in sustaining
the weak, restoring the fallen and raising the dejected and desponding.
'Till he send forth judgment unto victory' is till the truth which he proclaims
is victorious.".Eclectic
Notes:."It
took time and patience and the willingness to take pains to make anything
useful out of a bruised reed or a smoking wick. Most of us regard the world's
down and outs as not worth troubling ourselves over. We do not see how
anything can be made of them. But love and care and patience can do wonders
and that is what the prophet is talking about. Emmanuel will persevere
to the end. He will persist until he brings out justice into victory.".Four
Fold Gospel:."Flax
was then used where we now use cotton, as wicking for lamps. Imperfection
in the fiber of it would cause it to smoke. A violent man, irritated by
the fumes of the smoking wick, would put it out and cast it from him. But
the Lord's servant would patiently fan it to flames. The statement that
he would not break these bruised reeds, nor quench this smoking flax, was
an emphatic declaration, by contrast, that he would heal their bruises
and fan their dying energies and resolutions into a flame, until he sent
forth judgment unto victory, that is, until the gospel, the authoritative
announcement of the divine purpose or will, shall be sent forth and advanced
to its final triumph. Christ shall show patient mercy and forbearance until
the gospel shall practically exclude the need of it, by triumphing over
opposition so as to bring about universal righteousness."
Humanity comes here to Earth with an ego, a
necessary thing for awhile. But because of the ego, man can become
increasingly averse
to humility,
unless he or she has had parents who brought him or her up to see what's
good and what's not.
Humility is a very necessary spiritual quality,
as it's the meek who'll inherit the better world:.Matthew
5:5. Humility involves being kind to others, respecting them and honoring
in your heart, the spirit that made them, knowing also it's the same spirit
that you too came from. The east Indians have a word for that. It's namaste.
It seems to be the
ego is this built in desire for greatness that brought us here in the
first place. Where did it come from?
And because of that, on our own we never would find the greatness
we can have in Christ,
because the ego, as it unfolds as we grow from childhood, leads us in the
other direction, the direction toward the
'world', the common life of being on Earth. So God alerts us first
and awakens us.somewhat
later.in life after
we've had enough of the negatives we've experience here.
From here we can move into a higher consciousness
than the ego ever could provide. A decision to do so and to learn about
it, starts one on the road. And results can be instantaneous because in
the realm of high
consciousness there is no time, only
presence.
This means your presence in this realm of higher consciousness is right
away and one stays there if the thoughts that brought him or her there,
such as one's decision to be in this higher consciousness, remain. And
they will remain if one feeds on higher consciousness thoughts, because
your former thoughts if engaged in, will drag you back to mediocrity.
So, be alert to what thoughts you have at all
times:.1Peter
5:8. If they lean to the negativity the ego is known for, change them
to thoughts of the
good things of God. 1John 4:6-8
is about being in the love of God.
God is always
there, so you can act in confidence, knowing God never lets anyone
down. God's always there to help you:.Hebrews
13:5. Your faith in that however, may be tried, so be ready for finding
out some things about what you are really are like. It's all about being
better. Why? But you won't be tried above what
you are able:.1Corinthians
10:13. We don't know what this 'above what you are able' mark may be,
but God does, so trust God.
Deuteronomy
31:6 "Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them,
for the Lord your God, he it is that does go with you. He will not fail
you, nor forsake you." Hebrews 13:5
"...be content.(doesn't
mean you shouldn't do better and have
more of what is available for you to have and that's health, wealth,
love and right expression in life for what you want).with
such things as you have, for he has said, I will never leave you, nor forsake
you."
Humility/meekness is not
being harsh in
manner:.2Timothy
2:24. There is no rest being around someone who is angry, frustrated
and harsh about life, someone who is out to take away your peace:.Matthew
11:29; 1Peter 3:4.
Isaiah
48:22 "There is no peace says the Lord, unto the wicked."
Many wish the meek would
hurry up and inherit the Earth.(Matthew
5:5), as the unmeek are making
such
a mess of it!
Humility is wanting to change,
wanting to be better and taking action to become better and this involves
becoming selfless.
Selfless doesn't mean one doesn't care for the self and instead sacrificing
all for others:.Matthew
22:36-40. Selfless means one cares for others as much as one does for
the self, realizing that we are all
one. Being
selfless is not having
the mind one is greater than anyone else and therefore deserves advantages
over others, but instead being of mind that we all are of the same God
behind
the scenes and that any one of us is not out to lord
it over others and control and use them to advantage of the self and
it's selfish purposes.
Humility is agreeing with
the Creator when He tells
you the truth about you, by showing you
that circumstances you may be in, you are in because there is something
you need to learn there. One can be in agreement and grow spiritually when
in alignment with the ways of God?.Amos
3:3.
Humility is not being filled
up with yourself. Humility is being willing and able to be of service,
that of doing the higher
consciousness things to help alleviate
and heal the hurting all around us out there.
"In order to receive the
Good, the Divine, one must be receptive, not having the head full of questions
that they want to ask, because this cannot be understood with the intellect,
only
the heart."....comprised
from Bruno Gröning quotes in the Schooling Letter, summer,
2018, pages 54,59.
Humility is esteeming.(esteeming
also denotes
not pushing yourself to be eminent,
that is, the first thought regarding
another is to serve and help in some way {don't turn others away
& more:.Matthew5:40-48},
to make oneself of service to another, rather
than to see what advantage
another may be for you; one is the give side and the other, the get side
of life).others
as able to become better than yourself:.Philippians
2:3 ".....in lowliness of mind let each esteem others as able to become.better
than themselves..And,
how
can this play out?
All souls are equal in the
'cosmic sea' underlying and supporting all that is. It's saying, to recognize
this. Though different 'on top', below the surface all is rooted in the
same energy; like trees above the ground, yet all have roots in Earth.
An individual having a higher
consciousness is approachable and easy to get to know:.James
3:17.
A man or woman of a vacillating
approach to life, is either off or on at times, as the ancient
king Rehoaboam showed.
Underneath
the atom we are all one. In the invisible world underlying and supporting
this physical world, in this realm
of the
Soul, all is interconnected,
all
is one. We all have feet, arms, legs, stomachs, heads, eyes and so
on. They are all faces, but they are mostly unique due to both the different
nervous systems as well as the varying experiences we all have had.
On the
surface above the invisible, we all live a somewhat
different life and have developed different emotions, from all having different
experiences, but we all have experiences and different reactions to them
and thus, we have differing nervous systems, but all have a nervous system.
We all have faces, but each is
unique.
We all do much the same things. We all sleep, but at different times and
at varying lengths. We all eat, but eat different things on different days.
We all need bathroom times and all not at the same time. We need sunshine
and for different lengths of time at different times of the year. We all
need sex and here too there is diversity of position and interest amongst
all of us.
We all need social time with
friends, family and others. So, in all the similar needs there is this
unity and in unity there is also
diversity.
We've had different
experiences, had different interests impacting us in unique ways. We've
read different books, had different friends, drove different vehicles and
went to different locations at various times. We are different expressions
of the same 'ocean' and are its
constantly unique waves which are always moving. The Creator
does
not want clones. We see different trees but they are all trees. Same
with flowers, rocks and animals. We all have an immune system which repairs
us if the body is injured; it reacts the same in all of us, but the repairs
are different depending on injury. The multiverse is increasing in diversity,
moving constantly from sameness.
Ephesians
4:2 "With all lowliness and meekness.(mildness
of
disposition,
gentleness of spirit, inclined
to be kind, tenderhearted,
sensitive),
with longsuffering.(patience),
forbearing.(original
is 'holding up' {encouraging}, 'sustaining',
'bearing with',
'enduring').one
another in love." Romans 12:10
and.(*).
Some people feel that they
must exemplify
a peaches and cream
lavish
lifestyle to.command.the
respect
of others. Others, being not pretentious,
gain respect through acts of helping, serving and assisting.
Paul was not hesitant to
do menial things
necessary to help. After a shipwreck Paul gathered some wood to fuel the
fire to continue warming those with him:.Acts
28:2-6.
Commanding respect of others
involves
accoutrements
such as one believes may be necessary.
To such people wearing expensive clothes, using an expensive vehicle, staying
in an impressive house, attending and/or possessing a club affiliation.commensurate
with status important to them, possessing a fine boat, motorhome, etc.,
such things that say what one feels he is or wants to be in front of others.
Things contributing
to recognition by peers
of the importance of one's position in life are what feeds the ego of many
people. Many love such things others can observe as emphasizing
one's superiority.
All these and more, are important to those persons needing elevation of
opinion in the minds of others. Such an attitude is likely to belong to
such a person as this
type you have encountered.
Humility is not having to
feed the
ego through
means designed to feed an overtone
of superiority. One so susceptible
usually 'stings' inside when another's idea is selected apart from his;
when another is recognized above him.
Humility is being able to
function happily within the workings of whatever situation one may be in;
being able to support another's idea, of course, as long as you're sure
the idea is for the benefit of all.
Zephaniah
2:3 "Seek you the Lord, all you meek of the Earth, which have wrought
his judgment'.(or,
more correctly.'work
his judgment'),
seek
righteousness, seek meekness.(gentleness
& humility). It may be you shall
be hid in the day
of the Lord's anger.".Isaiah
66:2.
One who trusts in his Creator
can afford to be humble as he or she doesn't have to be concerned about
phony impressions presented to others in order to gain favor for advantage:.Matthew
6:33. But, sadly, most prefer engorging
upon worldy treasures including the pride of rank and wealth:.Matthew
6:19-26.
Humility is giving up designing
things to make others think of you in some way that gives you an advantage
over them for your profit, for your gain in some way.
Humility comes from knowing
that all you need you don't have to manipulate for, as it all comes to
you according to what you think about and are excited about as being true
for you.
For most, their thinking
misses the truth of their being.
Most have not
adapted themselves to the laws of the universe set up by this Great Infinite
Creator to give them all they want. As a result, they try to become great
with ways out of sync with how they really feel inside.
Humility is realizing that
you have all of the powers of the Infinite One.(our
Creator).through
your subconscious by faith and have moved away
from missing the mark.(original
for 'sinning').by
using methods out of the mass mind of humanity to get ahead in life:.Luke
18:9-14.
Giving up the dross
that you truly may think of yourself, has to do with decisions you make.
For example: If the Creator says that you are righteous by faith and worthy
of blessings, you decide to stop thinking that you are not worthy of anything
but trouble in your life, that no one will ever like you, that there is
little if any hope but to keep going further in the hole.(depression).and
that you feel bad because of this or because of that. Believing that way
precludes
what your Creator wants for you:.John
10:10. Focusing on your inadequacies is not looking at things of your
life the way God looks at them.
To accept the way God looks
at things, say some things aloud to yourself, like: "I accept the
righteousness the Creator has given me."
Emmanuel saw Himself from
how the Father looked at Him.(Luke
22:42).and
so
should we. The reality.is.how
God sees things, not how we see things apart from His opinion of us.
Humility involves not pressing
upon others the impression that we are superior to them in some way. All
that, comes from the wrong side of pride and is
the opposite of being easy to be entreated:.James
3:17. Humility has to do with giving for the sake of others.(Philippians
2:7,8;
Romans 14:7-9),
perhaps after being motivated by compassion.
