-What is a false
prophet?
Matthew
24:11; Deuteronomy 13:1-5;
18:21,22;
1Kings
18:19-22; Jeremiah 14:14;
23:25-28;
28:9;
2Peter
chapter 2.
Revelation
2:2 "I know your works and your labor and your patience and how you
can not bear them which are evil and you have
tried them which say they are apostles
and are not and have found them liars." Jeremiah
29:26 "...for every man that is mad, and makes himself a prophet, you
should put him in prison and in the stocks.
A lying spirit, the evil
energies or attitudes resident
in the mass mind
can influence what is said and what is done, depending upon how any particular
individual is aligned:.1Kings
22:20-23; Isaiah 19:4,14.
Why?
Proverbs 16:7. The dark side
can
pump the attitudes we have, making them worse, but it's all under God's
control and for ultimately
a good purpose and that is to awaken to the reason why one is on Earth
in
the first place:.2Timothy
1:9.
Jeremiah
14:14 ".....The prophets prophesy
lies in my name. I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither
spoke unto them. They prophesy unto you a false
vision and divination
and a thing of naught and the deceit of their heart."
Jeremiah
4:9,10 "And it shall come to pass at that day says the Lord, that the
heart of the king shall perish and the heart of the princes and the priests
shall be astonished and the prophets shall wonder. Then said I, Ah, Lord
God! Surely you have greatly deceived this people....."
Micah
3:11 "The heads thereof judge for reward and the priests thereof teach
for hire and the prophets thereof divine for money. Yet will they lean
upon the Lord and say, Is not the Lord among us? None evil can come upon
us."
Jeremiah
23:1,11,16,17 "Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the
sheep of my pasture, says the Lord...For both prophet and priest are profane;
yes, in my house have I found their wickedness, says the Lord...Thus says
the Lord of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy
unto you. They make you vain.
They speak a vision of their own heart and not out of the mouth of the
Lord...They say still unto them that despise me, The Lord has said, You
shall have
peace and they say unto every one that
walks after the imagination.(original
means 'to think and live in a manner that eventually takes its toll on
you'; a way that is 'at odds with God's way of love', the natural way we
live, living based upon the
externals of life).of
his own heart.(selfishly
concerned, lacking deeds of love and compassion and not interested in a
relationship
with God),
no
evil will come upon you.(as
long as you keep up your church
attendance, tithing, etc.)."
And such was the false prophet
Elymas
in the time of the apostles in the early New Testament era.
Deuteronomy
13:1-5 "If there arise among you a prophet or a dreamer of dreams and
gives you a sign or a wonder and the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof
he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which you have
not known and let us serve them. You shall not hearken unto the words of
that prophet or that dreamer of dreams, for the Lord your God proves you,
to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with
all your soul. You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear him and
keep his commandments and obey his voice and you shall serve him and cleave
unto him. And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to
death, because he has spoken to turn you away from the Lord your God....".If
they don't speak a message that enables more of Christ to affect your heart,
a message that lifts you up, frees you from guilt, inspires confidence
in you and encourages you in your relationship with God, get out!
Deuteronomy
18:21,22 "And if you say in your heart, How shall we know the word
which God has not spoken? When a prophet speaks in the name of God, if
the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which God has
not spoken, but the prophet has spoken it presumptuously.
You shall not be afraid of him."
Paul
warns about the danger of an alternate gospel
alienating one from God. Also, Peter talks about it:.2Peter
2:1-3;
Ephesians 5:6. Also:.Ezekiel
13:1-7; Isaiah 10:1,2; 2Timothy
4:3,4.
The Creator ensures that
whatever He inspires someone to say does indeed come to pass:.Acts
11:28.
-What
is a false or true minister or a false
prophet?
-How are we to."try
the spirits".as
it says in 1John 4:1?
The word 'try' here means
to 'test, examine' in order to find out if they are true to highest expectations:.Matthew
7:16 "You shall know them by their fruits...".
So, be alert to what people may really be by being alert to what they are
doing which shows what they are inside of them. One does this through use
of his spiritual lenses. Spiritual
vision becomes clearer the more one studies
the Bible, the Creator's word interspersed
with prayer, meditation
and contemplation:.Hebrews
11:3 "Through
faith.we
understand....."
1Peter
1:8; 1Corinthians
13:12;.Psalms
36:9 "For with you is the fountain of life. In your light
shall we see light.".Those
of ordinary consciousness,
influenced of the dark side part
of the mass mind by varying.degrees
at different times, can be noticed by their lack of light, kindness, givingness,
helpfulness, happiness, etc.
Some people are too.gullible,
ready at the drop of a hat to take on any half baked information some self
made authority may have concocted,
gullible
like
these people in Nigeria:.Malachi
3:18 "...discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him
that serves God and him that serves him not.".If
they had read their Bible and known this, they wouldn't have been
so stupid.
Those in higher consciousness
levels are clearly able to discern
and some are able to just know:.Psalms
21:8. Most people just don't know that they are the
knower.
Matthew
7:13,14 "...wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction
and many there be which go in thereat.
...narrow is the way which leads unto life and few there be that find it."
One way on the road into
high and even
higher consciousness states is to ask yourself if the attitude of yourself
or another is
predominately
loving?.Matthew
25:44,45 "Then they will also answer Him saying, Lord, when did we
see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison and
did not minister unto you? Then He answered them saying, verily I say unto
you, inasmuch as you did it not to one of the least
of these, you did it not to me."
