Psalms 84:1 To the chief Musician upon Gittith, A Psalm for the sons of Korah.(*). How amiable are your tabernacles, O LORD of hosts!

Psalms 84:2 My soul longs, yea, even faints for the courts of the LORD. My heart and my flesh cries out for the living God.

Psalms 84:5 Blessed is the man whose strength is in you; in whose heart are the ways of them..(original.'A happy man is one whose heart is lifted up',.not by pride, but as a result of being in higher consciousness)

Psalms 84:10 For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God.(*), than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

That is, one standing out looking in or just being there in God's kingdom is joy enough. At least he or she is there and can move up to greater things as he or she continues to grow. Nothing is ever permanently set when it comes to love's growth. So, the psalmist is saying, never despair.

Psalms 84:11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield. The LORD will give grace and glory. No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

The topic of Mercy and Forgiveness. The topic of Righteousness. The topic of Peace.

Psalms 85:13 Righteousness shall go before him and shall set us in the way of his steps.

Psalms 86:5 For you, Lord, are good and ready to forgive.(note it says 'ready to forgive', meaning one must ask; why?).(and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon you.

Psalms 86:7 In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee, for thou wilt answer me.

Psalms 86:8 Among the gods there is none like unto you, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto your works.

Psalms 86:9 All nations whom you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord.(not forced to, but once minds are open to embrace the spiritual and that's why we have our human experience, to learn and to leave the lower consciousness for a higher consciousness).and shall glorify your name.(they came to realize that Creator-God's name connotes all that is beautiful and worthy of praise).

Psalms 86:10 For you are great and do wondrous things.(such as flowers and beauty). You are God alone.(*).

Psalms 86:13 For great is your mercy toward me and you have delivered my soul.(*).from the lowest hell.(*).

Psalms 87:1 A Psalm or Song for the sons of Korah.(*). His foundation is in the holy mountains.

Psalms 88:1 A Song or Psalm for the sons of Korah (this was a Psalm of Heman the Ezrahite, giving instruction?), to the chief Musician.(*).upon Mahalath.(probably a catchword in a song giving name to tune).Leannoth.(afflicted, put down), Maschil.('maschil' is a song or poem of contemplation).of Heman.(a wise man to whom Solomon was compared).the Ezrahite.(a native {as arising out of the soil} or of the family of Zerach).

Psalms 88:2-5 O LORD God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before thee. Let my prayer come before you. Incline your ear unto my cry, for my soul is full of troubles and my life draws nigh unto the grave. I am counted with them that go down into the pit. I am as a man that has no strength, free among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom you remember no more and they are cut off from your hand.

Psalms 88:6 You have laid me in the lowest pit in darkness, in the deeps.

Psalms 88:7-12 Your wrath lies hard upon me and you have afflicted me with all your waves. Selah. You have put away my acquaintance far from me. You have made me an abomination unto them. I am shut up and I cannot come forth. My eye mourns by reason of affliction. LORD, I have called daily upon you. I have stretched out my hands unto you. Will you show wonders to the dead? Shall the dead arise and praise you? Shall your loving kindness be declared in the grave? Or your faithfulness in destruction? Shall your wonders be known in the dark and your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?

The topic of Righteousness.

Psalms 88:13 But unto you have I cried O LORD and in the morning shall my prayer prevent.(Middle English word for 'come before', 'in front of', 'present in front of').you.

Psalms 88:14,15 LORD, why cast you off my soul.(*)? Why hide your face from me? I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth up. While I suffer your terrors I am distracted.(this is terrible that you don't seem to be there to help when I need help; it so distracts me that I can't live properly; get help!).

Psalms 88:16 Your fierce wrath goes over me. Your terrors have cut me off..(a prophecy about when Emmanuel felt the Father forsake him:.Matthew 27:46)

Psalms 88:17,18 They.(these terrors if living).came round about me daily like water. They compassed me about together. Lover and friend have you put far from me and my acquaintance into darkness.

You've made it so no one cares about me anymore by keeping others away from me and I'm in mental darkness and sorrow continually. This Psalm reflects how all of us feel at one time or another, where impenetrable darkness without comfort is all around us and our affairs. Believing how close to you God actually is, helps and of course, always ask for help.

Psalms 89:1 <Maschil of Ethan the Ezrahite.(Amtract Bible Dictionary: "Maschil is a term found as a title of thirteen Psalms and imports one that instructs or makes to understand; some interpreters think it means an instrument of music, but it more probably signifies an instructive song"> I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever. With my mouth will I make known your faithfulness to all generations.

Psalms 89:2-4 For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever. Your faithfulness you establish in the very heavens. I have made a covenant.(an agreement).with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant, Your seed will I establish for ever and build up your throne to all generations. Selah.

Psalms 89:5 And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LORD. Your faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.

Psalms 89:6 For who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD? Who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the LORD?

Psalms 89:7-9 God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him. O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like unto you? or to your faithfulness round about you? You rule the raging of the sea. When the waves thereof arise, you still them.

Psalms 89:20-31 I have found David my servant. With my holy oil have I anointed him. With whom my hand shall be established; mine arm also shall strengthen him. The enemy shall not exact upon him nor the son of wickedness afflict him. And I will beat down his foes before his face and plague them that hate him. My faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him and in my name shall his horn be exalted. I will set his hand also in the sea and his right hand in the rivers. He shall cry unto me, You are my father, my God and the rock of my salvation. Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth. My mercy will I keep for him for evermore and my covenant shall stand fast with him. His seed also will I make to endure for ever and his throne as the days of heaven. If his children forsake my law and walk not in my judgments, if they break my statutes and keep not my commandments;

Psalms 89:32,33 Then will I visit their transgression.(what was their transgression?).with the rod and their iniquity with stripes. Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.
