Henry's Commentary:."Prayer
may be oral or mental, occasional or constant, ejaculatory
or formal. It
is a "beseeching
the Lord".
1Samuel
1:12-15 "And it came to pass, as she continued praying to God, that
Eli
marked her mouth.(noticed
that her mouth was moving). Now Hannah.(the
story:.1Samuel
1:1-28), she spake in her heart. Only
her lips moved but her voice was not heard. Therefore Eli thought she had
been drunken. And Eli said unto her, How long will you be drunken? Put
away thy wine from thee. And Hannah answered and said, No, my lord, I am
a woman of a sorrowful spirit. I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink
but have poured out my soul before God.".(as
others, Isaiah and Hezekiah, have also done:.2Chronicles
32:20 "...praying and crying to heaven".and.Job
8:5: "seeking unto God and making supplication"; and James
4:8.and.Psalms 73:28 "...drawing
near to God";.Ephesians
3:14.and.Isaiah
45:23 "...bowing the knees...").
Hannah was elated
when God answered her prayer:.1Samuel
2:1-5.
All these are Old
Testament based. In the New
Testament, or more correctly, new
covenant,
Christ's
nature is in.those who are
believers. It is now a different relationship. It is no longer necessary
to think of God as being 'up there' when we pray. The new covenant involves
progressing
in truth. So, where is God?
Praying without ceasing.(1Thessalonians
5:17; Acts 12:5; Romans
1:9;
2Timothy 1:3).means
you choose what thoughts you want to align
with, carrying them with you as you would, say, the Bible. When
the overriding.attitude
one has is always things important for spiritual
growth, you are 'praying without ceasing'. Hold onto that which is
good that you have envisioned
and it'll come to pass.
3 is the key to answered
prayer as shown in both the example in.Judges
20:21-28.and Paul's personal example
in.2Corinthians
12:8,9. And, Matthew 18:18-20.
Stopping prayer in one's life gets no answers one
may need:.Galatians
6:9.
Good prayer is always good thoughts. One's life
is his or her thoughts. You want to stick to that. In other words, avoid
ceasing from your connection with God by avoiding those things whcih are
not good. This is using
the conscious mind in a
certain way to bring you all you want that's good. Choose good, good
comes. Choose bad and that's what you'll get, someday,
somehow.
If you've prayed for something for self or another,
how often should you do this? Without ceasing would mean that the welfare
of another or some situation you are concerned about, is of primary.importance
to you and in the back of your mind all the time, like if your child was
ill, you keep wondering how he or she is doing.
When you know the
true good God of all life and creation is real, you can
trust Him. And, trust Him that He always
hears you, that's because without God no life would exist anywhere.
God sustains you because God is within
you:.Hebrews
13:5. God is your healer
and your wealth provider
When you know God has heard you and that takes
faith, a knowing that your prayer(s) have been heard, then there
is no need to pray about the same things again. That would be a lack of
faith, a lack of trust in God that He indeed did hear you the first time:.1John
5:15 "And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that
we have the petitions that we desired of him.".God
remembers what you asked for. He's
big enough to get them done and says He will. But
when? So, drop it all into God's hands and no longer agonize
over need to keep asking the same things again:.Matthew
6:7.
One's dominant.mindset
or image of what it is that he or she wants in life,is his continuous
prayer. Your thought is your prayer. Praying without ceasing doesn't
mean you keep talking out loud or to yourself inside, saying things you
feel will keep you in God's favor. Your continuous prayer without ceasing
is your overall feeling about something, such as, you could have an overall
feeling of faith and confidence or of sadness and failure. Your overall
feeling for your family would be your continuous prayer; that kind of thing.
So, if your're not liking the results in life so
far, you can reach far ahead by both finding out why
the results are as they are and by using a gift
from God you don't know about. You don't know about it or you would already
be using it to massively have your life enriched in all areas:.John
10:10; 3John 1:2.
It means that once one is in
a high consciousness mind, he or she is in the attitude that is aligned
with God, the attitude where thoughts come from the heart of being one
with God, where God always.(Hebrews
13:5 "...for he has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you.").is
in
tune with such an individual:.Malachi
2:5,6 "My covenant was with him of life and peace and I gave them to
him for the fear wherewith he feared me and was afraid before my name.
The law of truth was in his mouth and iniquity was not found in his lips.
He walked with me in peace and equity and did turn many away from iniquity."
And in this frame of mind, this attitude, one is
automatically and always in prayer, for then when is there time for meditation,
contemplation and study? Praying without ceasing doesn't mean that one
is constantly saying words to God. This point comes when one's subconscious,
the real you, the soul with
the small 's' is melded
with the Soul with the large 'S'. This comes with a feeling of enthusiasm,
because happiness is being
one with the Creator. Being
one is the purpose here for this Earth experience. Stay away from making
a decision that you are going to be happy; why?
Praying without ceasing is living from higher
consciousness with a continuousness
that this be so for you; that is, you have decided there is a better way,
a way to improve toward, a better way than ways that have sort
of got you by in life in the past.
When you are not of higher consciousness you are
subject instead to the wavelengths that come to you from the collective
mind. As you live, your life experiences occur and if an individual
is not of higher consciousness, the normal responses come both from one's
prior impressions, his memory and/or the collective mind of humanity, which
although is changing toward higher consciousness, is pretty much on the
negative lower consciousness side of things.
If an individual's emotions are mostly fearful,
then that is their dominant way of thinking, their mindset. The subconscious
is that part of you that receives impressions from whatever is in your
conscious thinking mind. Your set feelings are what is in your subconscious
and from here your life unfolds.(how?),
so it is important what is in there, what you continually allow to be a
part of you, what it is that is you, your makeup, what makes you unique.
Life today for you is what thinking made it from
your dominant thoughts of the recent past. And worse, some individuals
live their lives 50 to 100% looking behind, missing the opportunity in
the here and now to make a great future. It is no wonder they get bad things
coming to them in the present. These are they who say "When is it going
to stop." They just do not realize how they can change what is 'happening'.
If you want God's help, you must ask:.Psalms
86:13; 89:14; John
18:9. Do some highly effective
envisioning.
Creator never
overrides anyone's heart and He has set the subconscious you have.(and
everyone else has).to work in such
a way as to completely be responsive only to what you believe to
be true about yourself and your life.(Deuteronomy
18:19), even
if it's negative and doesn't produce the results you may expect in
your life; so you learn, that is, if
one wants to at this time in his or her existence. Some people use
their time on Earth not to become better, but
to not to be bored.
The
subconscious does not have thinking ability. It is a set.invisible
grid, as
it were, a 'computer', loaded with information both particular
to your experience.(you remember
what you learned, thanks to what is called the Akashic
record).and indefinite.(awaiting
input, like new thoughts, to draw on its vast heretofore
unknown capabilities). It is the connection between you and the
universal invisible energies. It is your
soul in the grid of the Soul.
The Great Infinite One we commonly refer to as
Creator-God, put the computer there in you as the connection between you
and Him.
God knows you by what
you are. What are you?
All we know of comes from the invisible energies
that sustain
all, that support all we see
out there and all we experience according to what we believe to be
true for us individually. Belief is the valve
that allows or disallows what is modified in the subconscious each of us
use.
Creator-God is in all of us as much as He can be.
Some believe that there is no God. Some in simple ignorance in ancient
times, thought they knew God, but really didn't and based on their limited
information, they decided God's ways of higher consciousness wasn't
for them. In this they decided to learn from experience, but it wasn't
nice for them as they lived their lives.
It's just that they lacked enough information to
keep them away from the high consciousness they needed and thus,
could only go with the information they had at the time. The Creator set
it all up so humans would have complete freedom with themselves in order
to believe what they choose, so they would see by results in their lives,
what works for them and what doesn't. The reason we are what we are is
because we and everything else exists within this intelligent invisible
energy we call God. Without that, nothing would exist.
It's us, in our minds, that lock
ourselves away from the Creator. And why? Simply because we are ignorant
of all the good things
available to us. Being at the lower consciousness ego level doesn't allow
for belief in the functioning
of higher value things, the things the ego mind thinks to be foolish, because
it just can't comprehend
value in them:.Mark

3:3; 1Corinthians 1:18;
3:19.
So, a person stays in his own
prison, having allowed the imposition
of such limitations upon himself.
Creator designed the subconscious to be receptive
to what is your continuous heart feeling, what it is you that is you continually;
that is, what is you but thoughts and feelings which affect the frequencies,
the vibration of all things known and invisible:.Romans
1:20 "For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world
are clearly seen being understood by the things that are made even his
eternal power and Godhead..."
To better understand this, consider that out of
your thoughts and feelings comes how you respond to the things of life,
such as your responses to people, your thoughts and expressions toward
others and your feelings about yourself.
The Infinite One designed the mind.(conscious/subconscious).so
that whatever is in the heart.(your
mind {where you think}, your feelings {the emotions that result from what
you have been thinking}, or at least, the feelings that.are
you.most of the time).would
be what any individual would want; that is, why would anyone have thoughts
and feelings over what they would not want. This would be insanity! Yet
peoples' lives daily evidence many things that no person at their hearet
level would want. Why is this?
Have they been duped!
No and yes! Not duped by anyone else. Yes, duped by their own ego. Why?
They have not known and believed that a better way is possible than the
ego way of living. And this for many reasons particular to each person
on Earth.

was designed to bring humanity out of the mental prison most of humanity
individually exists within, to take them onward and upward into a realm
where they can attain
a framework of mind where all their dreams have opportunity to come true,
and with no downside.
The subconscious connection to the formative energy
of all matter, and 'matter' is and includes, all of what we are or can
be aware of; so this would also include life's circumstances, your life
circumstances, what you experience each day of your life.
The subconscious that you have takes your dominant
feelings and proceeds to bring what is there in your subconscious, into
your life, into your life out of the invisible. The invisible frequencies
become 'slowed down' to the point of visibility. This is when they become
part of the mosaic
that we call life on Earth, and any particular person's life here on Earth
is his or her part in this mosaic.
The."praying
without ceasing".in the Holy Bible
in the original Greek is."to
wish to the advantage of". God inspired words in the Holy Bible
to be recorded to help us:.2Timothy
3:16 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable
for doctrine,
for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness."
So, if a person's continuous pattern of expression,
their disposition as has been
sculpted from his or her thoughts/feelings, is one of success, one of joy,
one of confidence, then their life will be that way, or become that way
if they now begin to be that way, for all actions come first in the mind.
Conversely, if they are 'down in the mouth', scared, confused, immobilized,
frustrated and many other such negatives that can be named, then that is
exactly what their experience here on Earth will reflect.for
them.
If one is choosing selfish grandeur,
the 'king of the hill' way of
life of the ego, he or she obviously
is not concerned with the internal
things of the spiritual life. Their world then is a world of selfishness
and selfishness will eventually crush a person.(Luke
6:38), someway,
somehow. And that's how it's supposed to work. If we didn't encounter
the negatives that a selfish lifestyle produces, there would be no incentive
to find a better way.
Praying without ceasing does not mean that every
single thought is a specific prayer to God, but rather that the heart's
continuous
intent is in alignment
with the good both you and God wants you to experience.(*).
The Great Infinite One is the One we commonly refer to as the Creator and
God.
To extract yourself from the ego's grip on your
soul, requires not only the willingness to take a new direction.(and
where
does this new direction inclination
come from?).but also to then watch
carefully as you live your day that you are living from
the highest standards and not falling back into the trap
of the ego.
On the positive side, being in 'prayer continuously'
is being sure Christ.(what
is 'Christ'?).is continuously reigning.
Postive thoughts equal a positive helpful lifestyle being amplified:.Luke
6:38.
On the negative side, it is the same laws of mind
at work, that of, allowing the negatives from the
mass mind to influence you continuously and once a negative thought
is spurred in
the mind, the 'negative amplifiers' are there, ready to 'pump up the power',
to 'turn up the volume',
to
bring you down a little faster.

November 13, 1999 reports."466
heart patients had significantly better outcome with prayer than 524 patients
who received no prayer", as reported by.Archives
of Internal Medicine, Volume 159, Page 2273, a journal of the American
Medical Association.
Neither the doctors, nor
the patients had any idea that the patients were being prayed for.
And, another interesting
experiment with astonishing results.
Prayer can have a very positive
effect
upon another's emotions.
