old covenant
new covenant
A remembrance of sin occured once a year: Hebrews 10:1-12. We remember what Christ did: 1Corinthians 11:1,25; however most religionists are reminded weekly in church of their sins. No wonder this.
They were afraid of God:.Exodus 20:19. Not so in the new:.1John 4:8,16,18
They wanted a king and not their Creator to be in charge:.1Samuel 8:5-22; 10:19. So, God went and hid. And how did this turn out for he folks?.1Samuel 13:8-14. In the new covenant, once in higher consciousness, we are able to rule ourselves.
Law was weak:.Romans 8:3. Christ's nature in us is strong:.Luke 2:40; John 3:34.
Serve God out of ego.(Genesis 37:4).with laws, rules and regulations:.Exodus; Leviticus; Numbers and Deuteronomy. Serve God out of love in your heart with reverence and fear.and you'll treat others different than  the ego approah to life:.Philippians 2:3 "...in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves."
Psalms 7:11 ".....God is angry with the wicked every day." Actual translation is."God judges indignantly".meaning; God was judging circumstances and does not give an inch as to the law He has laid down.(Matthew 5:18 "For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and Earth pass, one jot.(smallest bit).or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.".and then what:.Romans 13:10; Galatians 5:14), that is, until Christ abrogated it.(where?).because its purpose was done. God judges circumstances, but what about the people in them in this era of the New Testament?

In the Old Testament God would only help them, if they were in line with His law back then.

But in the new:.Hebrews 8:12 "For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more."

So much so that:.Hebrews 13:5 ".....for he has said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."

In the New Testament God has already helped all humanity, by doing what He has done and is doing in Christ.

God was their crutch: Deuteronomy 33:27; Isaiah 41:10. In Christ, we are the crutch for others.(Philippians 2:1,2; Ephesians 4:32).and God upholds us, as He always has done for His people: 2Corinthians 1:3,4.
Result of the law:.1, 2. Result of faith.
The old covenant contained laws of physical or carnal.(Hebrews 7:16).obedience with physical rewards from the Infinite Conscious Intelligence for performance and severe consequences for disobedience: Deuteronomy 28:15-68; Leviticus 26:19

The initial covenant was made with Abraham:.Genesis 12:2,3. It was expanded to include his posterity:.Genesis 17:7; 22:15-18; Exodus 2:24. Later, the people agreed to Moses' words about it:.Exodus 19:8; 24:3. And all this turned into what became known as the 'old covenant': Deuteronomy 28:1,2; 29:9-13; 30:19,20. And even later, the people agreed to the words of a king about it:.2Kings 23:3

The heart of the Infinite One is always for the best for humans:.Deuteronomy 5:29. So, severe after effects.were there as a deterrent to going their natural way, the way of the ego that was not good for them:.Romans 7:17. Without that, people could not see something was not right in their life, the happiness they wanted just never came. If you don't know something is not the best for you, why would you seek anything better?

The old covenant.(which included the commandments).had a purpose before the Infinite One showed up in the physical world as Christ.

New covenant involves law of love from the heart.(Hebrews 8:10), made possible because of Emmanuel the Christ's performance. The new covenant is better than the defunct old one:.Hebrews 7:22,28; 8:6. Why?

In the new covenant.(which you are in if you are a spiritual individual with God's nature of love in you.{called a Christian in the Holy Bible and called part of spiritual Israel}). The blessings, now and forever, do not depend on what you did, now do or yet may do or avoid doing. They depend only on what Emmanuel has already accomplished and your belief in His saving grace in all areas of your life.

Under the old covenant they had to work to impress upon their heart the way to the good things that they had learned that were against their inborn selfish natures:.Numbers 15:38-40; Deuteronomy 4:29; 6:6-8; 11:18. Today it's a thing of the heart.(Deuteronomy 5:29; John 4:23,24), that is, you must know what you are doing, not just repeat over and over again a bunch of sayings hoping some of them stick, providing an outcome for you:.Matthew 6:7. A different story under the new covenant when one is born again:.John 14:26; 16:13; 2Corinthians 3:3; 1John 2:27.
In the Old Testament, people were expected to compare themselves with the standard of the law God designed for a physical nation, within the people of such, was lacking the Holy Spirit:.Deuteronomy 5:29,32; Hebrews 10:16. In the new, we compare.(or as the original here has it 'to joint together fitly', 'be in harmony with').spiritual things with spiritual.(1Corinthians 2:13).as Christ's nature is now in us. We avoid 'comparing' ourselves with those not in the family of the Creator yet and thus, not evidencing fruits of the Holy Nature of the Creator: 2Corinthians 10:12; 6:14. Avoid trying to reach someone else's level of life. God has a different purpose for each of us.
In the Old Testament, the Creator put difference between people:.Exodus 11:7. In the New Testament, it was better:.Acts 15:9; Romans 3:22; 10:12; We learn from this that the Creator makes up His plan for humanity on this world stage as things go along, that is, apart from His overall planned direction which is set in stone: 1Corinthians 15:24,28; Ephesians 1:23; 3:21.
.
And, the Gentiles before and after
.
In the Old Testament, God offered the people a choice:.Deuteronomy 30:19. In the New Testament God has chosen us to be in a new higher consciousness.
