-Why is the Bible so mysterious?

The word 'mystery' as used in the New Testament.(the word is not used in the Old Testament).means 'hidden', but not a concealed hidden, rather an unobservable hidden.(like the kingdom of God itself), a hidden from surface observation, but a coming into view for those who somehow have come to the point of wanting to know, that being an awakening..Barnes Notes adds:."The word mystery in the Bible, properly means a thing that is concealed or that has been concealed. It does not mean that the thing was incomprehensible or even difficult to be understood."

Colossians 1:26 "Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints."

Acts 17:30 "...God...now commands.(original 'has a message for').all men every where to repent.(repent means to change; change from what and to what?)." Matthew 7:7 "Ask, and it is given you, seek and you find, knock and it shall be opened unto you" Ephesians 1:9 "Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he has purposed in himself."

All are now called.(1Timothy 2:4 "Who has all humans saved and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.").to the new freedom, already saved and that long ago:.2Timothy 1:9. The freely given stance they have in Emmanuel Christ, many have yet to hear about, in order to either awaken to it or reject it, for now.

Christ took all sin for all time upon Him and negated it forever by His death:.Hebrews 2:17 "Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren.(took on Him the nature of a man, not the nature of the angelic realm), that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people."

So that now, in Christ, one cannot be corrupted:.1Corinthians 15:53. There is never again any possibility of corruption:.1Peter 1:23 "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which lives and abides for ever."

Corruption is at the level of man, as was the case for those in the original creation:.Romans 9:31,32; Deuteronomy 32:5. But in the eternal scheme of things, your sins didn't matter. Why?

In Christ you are pure and holy and your spirit is no longer affected by actions at the physical level, even though your mind may be.(Romans 7:11-25):.1John 3:9 "Whosoever is born of God.(born of God).does not commit sin.(in the original the word 'sin' means 'to miss the mark'; it's saying that with Christ in you, you never miss the mark because Christ in you is greater than you in the world {1John 3:20; 4:4}, still having to deal with the low conscioiousness nature you've had all life), for his seed remains in him.(the seed Christ that took away all sin for all time, stays in you:.Hebrews 13:5 "...for he has said, I will never leave you, nor forsake you."; now, one can ignore it and go his own way, but the seed remains awaiting watering by your thoughts and actions of love). And he cannot sin, because he is born of God.".You may not know yet where you stand, as you may not have awakened to your true stance in God.

When you know this, you are aware of what those of a lower consciousness just don't see and that is, you know there is something special about you.(the seed is what's special about you, see paragraph just above).that is being bypassed by others:.1John 4:4-8 "You are of God, little children and have overcome them because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. They are of the world, therefore speak they of the world and the world hears them. We are of God. He that knows God hears us. He that is not of God hears not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God and every one that loves is born of God and knows God. He that loves not knows not God, for God is love.".2Peter 1:4; 1John 2:16

Reaching others is important:.Ephesians 3:5 "Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit.".Mark 4:11 "And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God.....".Colossians 2:2; 1Timothy 3:9.

A mystery is something that requires understanding to be made clear and brought to the point of an overstanding by seeing it from different angles where it's no longer so mysterious.

Comprised with.Barnes Notes:.'the word mystery with us is commonly used in the sense of that which is beyond comprehension and it is often applied to such doctrines as exhibit.difficulties which we are not able to explain. But this is not the sense in which it is commonly used in the Scriptures. The word mystery, in the Bible, properly means a thing that is concealed or that has been concealed. It does not mean that the thing was incomprehensible or even difficult to bring into comprehension. The thing might be plain enough if revealed, but it means simply that it had not been made known. Thus the mysteries of the kingdom do not mean any doctrines incomprehensible in themselves considered, but simply doctrines about the preaching of the gospel and the establishment of the new kingdom of the Messiah which had not been understood and which were as yet concealed from the great body of the Judeans at that time:.Romans 16:25,26; 11:25; Ephesians 3:3,4,9. Of this nature was the truth that the gospel was to be preached to the Gentiles, that the polity of Judah.was to cease, that the Messiah was to die, etc. To the disciples it was given to know these truths:.Matthew 13:11. It was important for them, as they were to carry the gospel around the globe back then. To the others it was not then given. They were too gross, too Earthly; they had too.groveling.conceptions of the Messiah's kingdom to understand these truths, even if presented. The Pharisees.generally, were not prepared for it and would not have believed it and therefore he purposely employed a kind of teaching that they did not comprehend. The doctrines to which the word mystery relates may in themselves be clear and simple, but they are hidden in mystery until they are revealed.'

What is about you and Christ that could be a mystery? The soul is key to this mystery.

The mystery of Godliness is:.1Timothy 3:9,16 "Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience...And without controversy great is the mystery of Godliness; God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."

One of the Bible's mysteries, the fellowship of the mystery.(Ephesians 3:9), is, all to be saved:.Ephesians 1:10. Here it talks of the Infinite One building His family.(*), a family of humans now with His very nature of love.(1John 4:8,16).in them, a family of spirit beings into eternity. Another mystery is why evil if God is in control?

We are here to be helpers of the Creator.."You are a helper of the Creator.(Colossians 4:11 "...my.(who is 'my'?.Colossians 1:1).fellowworkers unto the kingdom of God, which have been a comfort unto me.").and you are a helper of anyone else and just as the Creator himself, you are creating creators.(by helping them awaken and bring forth what's in the Soul they are connected with; this awakens them to their true purpose).and here you come to the point of unity of everyone. And this point of unity of everyone is the Soul. You should seek that way which is predetermined for you."....Grigori Grabovoi.

Another mystery is the calling of the Gentiles.(Romans 9:30; 11:25; Ephesians 3:1-3,8,9,11; Colossians 1:26-28), a thing incomprehensible to those religious scholars who were versed in the Old Testament, as they saw not the oneness of the Creator in others, but rather separation

In the Old Testament, Creator's ancient physical people Israel were to have nothing to do with Gentiles. Just as many religious people then figured the Gentiles were a 'write off', so it is today with many religious persons fed various doctrines in their churches leading to figuring 'the rest are going to hell forever'.

Not so now!.Colossians 1:27.

The Bible can be ambiguous. This may be so that a rigid religion as the Old Testament typified would never happen again. After all, the 70 A.D. destruction wiped it out so bady that it would never be rebuilt as it was, to again subjugate people under their religion as they had been doing.

The Creator's plan however, is to bring all together:.Ephesians 4:4; 2:11-22; 1:10.

Creator had raised a wall between those of ancient Israel and also Judah and the Gentiles, which in Christ's death was broken down for believers:.Ephesians 2:11-15; Galatians 3:28.

Another mystery shown was:.1Corinthians 15:51

Another was: the hidden wisdom, Christ expressing from the heart:.1Corinthians 2:7.

The perfect would understand:.1Corinthians 2:6. They know by a new inborn sense of belief that God has great things in store for those accepting Him:.1Corinthians 2:8-14

And yet another mystery. The door that opens the deep love a couple can grow into, is their heartfelt understanding of the feeling God has for all humanity to do what He did in Emmanuel the Christ:.Ephesians 5:30-33.

Colossians 1:27 "...this mystery...which is Christ in you...."

And another mystery is opened when one knows His true stance with God as being pure and holy:.1Timothy 3:9 "Holding the mystery of the.(word 'the' better left out as in the original).faith in a pure conscience."

Likewise the mystery of Christ.(Colossians 4:3), that you are righteous because of gifts from Him.(Romans 5:17; Ephesians 2:8-10; 4:7.{re: the measure}).because of what He willingly went through, so His loving nature could be in each of us.(it's the only hope for the world), that is, once one indeed realizes the urgency:.Colossians 1:26,27.

The 'mystery of Christ' also involves that Christ is a body. Overall, the mystery of Christ was that this mystery was kept from those in the beginning times on Earth.

The mystery of Christ also includes the mystery of the Gentiles; that is, that the Gentiles shall also inherit the Kingdom of God:.Ephesians 3:1-11; Romans 16:25; Colossians 4:3.

The mystery of the gospel is that God's grace covers all:.Ephesians 6:19; Romans 16:24,25; Acts 20:24; Colossians 1:25,26; Galatians 1:6.

The mystery of iniquity

The mystery of God:.Revelation 10:7.

How to comprehend the mysteries, but...1Corinthians 13:2 "And though I have the gift of prophecy and understand all mysteries and all knowledge and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains and have not charity.(old English for 'love'), I am nothing."

-I read.(in the Bible).regarding birthdays that they were negative?
What happens on a birthday? It is the day God had you born into the physical from the invisible. Yes, it focuses on the self, but what is in one's heart about it?

When Emmanuel was on the Earth with his disciples they never celebrated their birthdays, nor attended anyone's birthday celebration.

If one thinks that it is the day the Creator brought him or her into the world here and he or she is another year along in this journey of life and one is doing what was learnt about to improve self and others, then that seems good. If it is a day to exalt these things in the mind, then all well and good and harmless.

If the day is consumed with thoughts of selfishness or worse yet, depression, a day of reminding of getting older but not better, a day marking yet another year of many strewn with heartaches, well that is sad. If it is a day like Matthew 14:6-11 or Genesis 40:20-22, well, it hardly can be called 'happy' birthday.

Ecclesiastes 7:1 says the day of one's death.(and when is that?).is better than the day of one's birth, because a man or woman will, over a lifetime, have developed fine character qualities and if not, at least he is gone!
