Colossians
Colossians
1:1 Paul, an apostle of Emmanuel the Christ by the will of God along
with Timotheus our brother.
Colossians
1:2 To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse.
Grace be unto you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Emmanuel the
Christ.
Colossians
1:3 We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Emmanuel the Christ,
praying always for you.
Colossians
1:4 Since we heard of your faith in Christ Emmanuel and of the love
which you have to all the saints,
Colossians
1:5 For the hope which is laid up for you in
heaven, whereof you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;
Colossians
1:6 Which is come unto you, as
it is in all the world; and brings forth fruit, as it does also in
you, since the day you heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth.
Colossians
1:7 As you also learned of Epaphras our dear fellowservant who is for
you a faithful minister of Christ.
Colossians
1:8 Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit.
Colossians
1:9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease
to pray for you and to desire that you might be
filled with the knowledge of his
will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.
Original
for word 'understanding' is 'a putting together', an actual innerstanding
so that things make sense and you have a proper logical
mental overview.
Colossians
1:10 That you might walk worthy.(original
for word 'worthy' is 'to have the same weight as', 'befitting',
'having the worth
of'; what does that
mean?).of the Lord unto all
pleasing.(being
of a pleasing
attitude unto all), being fruitful in every good work and
increasing
in the knowledge of God.
Proverbs
1:7 "The fear of God is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise
wisdom and instruction."
Colossians
1:11 Strengthened with all might according to his glorious power unto
all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
Colossians
1:12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which has
made us meet.(or
fit
for, made able for:.Ephesians
2:10).to be partakers
of
the inheritance
of the saints
in light.
Colossians
1:13 Who has delivered us.(so
learn about
Christ who paid the price for humanity's freedom from all bondages:.1Corinthians
6:20).from
the
power of darkness and has translated.(removed,
put us in another place:.Romans
8:15;
Galatians 4:6,7; John
15:19; 17:6;
17:15;
1Corinthians
5:9,10; Gene Decode explains
{see timelines there} this being put into another place).us
into the kingdom of his dear Son.
For
those still living in the negative density the Earth has been in since
Satan was cast here (Luke 10:18)
and so that negative consciousness continues to be predominant
today, they must make a choice:.Deuteronomy
30:19.
Colossians
1:14.In whom.(?).we
have.redemption through his
blood, even the
forgiveness of sins.
Colossians
1:15 Who is the image.(how
Christ came about).of the
invisible
God.(*),
the firstborn.(the
One at the first (?)
who created all else).of every
creature.
Emmanuel,
who became the Christ, was the first human to be born of the
good God, that is, born spiritually, the first accepted
by the Father. And, the one who paved the way for all to follow:.John
17:24; Hebrews 2:10. Emmanuel
the Christ was the first of His kind:.John
1:18. He wasn't first physically, how could He be first when He wasn't
on Earth as Savior until way into the history of people on Earth? It's
talking spiritually, that ism of the Savior of all those who have come
to know him:.John
1:1-3; 17:5; 1John
5:20.
Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created,
that are in heaven and that are in Earth, visible and invisible, whether
they be thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were
created by him and for him.
Colossians
1:16 For by him were all things created.(Ephesians
3:9; Hebrews 3:4), that
are in heaven and that are in Earth, visible
and invisible, whether they be thrones or dominions or principalities.(original
for 'principalities' is 'that by which anything begins to be').or
powers.(original is
'power of laws', meaning the multiversal laws that have the power of producing
according to our belief; that is, according to what we believe {what thoughts
you have regarding circumstances both past and encountered as you live
each day}; also covers:.Romans
13:1; Ephesians 1:11).
All things were created by him.(or,
as the original elicits, 'through this automatic working', automatic because
of imagination).and for him.(or,
original, 'into this automatic working', that is, it was designed to be
the way it is, the way it works, where 'one's intent goes into this Infinite
Energy that is formative
and produces on the physical plane of existence in like manner to the intent).
All things
were created by the One with the Father long prior
to his becoming the Christ on Earth.(*):.John
17:5; Ephesians 3:9. This mystery
was kept secret from the beginning:.Romans
16;25.
Colossians
1:17 And
he.('he'
being the intelligent energy, something we are in process of growing into
have an overstanding
of 1) 2).is
before all things.(*).and
by
him all things consist..(*)
Colossians
1:18 And he is the head of the body, the
church, who is the beginning.(verse
16, above), the firstborn
from the dead, that in all things he might have the preeminence.
Verse
doesn't mean He is the first one ever resurrected from the dead, for He
himself resurrected Lazarus (John
11:11-44) and at His resurrection many others walked out of their graves:.Matthew
27:52,53. He was the firstborn from the dead who had the fulness
of the Father (next verse) and because of that He was incorruptible:.1Peter
1:23. He was the firstborn of all
those who would come to be in this thing, this realm,
this high consciousness intelligent energy of being, called Christ
and so by their awakening to the state they were originally created in:.2Timothy
1:9.
Colossians
1:19 For it pleased the Father that in him.(verses
16-18, just above).should all
fulness dwell.
John
3:34.
Colossians
1:20 And, having made.peace
through the blood.of his cross, by
him to reconcile all.(*).things
unto himself, by him, I say, whether they be things in Earth or things
in heaven.
Colossians
1:21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind
by wicked works, yet now has he reconciled.
Colossians
1:22 In the body of his flesh through death.(His
death), to present you.(Christ
presents each of those of good heart to the Father:.John
5:29; Matthew 25:34).holy
and unblameable.(original
is 'without a blemish'; in other words perfect and
pure).and unreproveable.(original
here strangely enough, is 'unblameable', 'blameless', so word 'unreprovable'
fits well).
2Corinthians
4:10; Hebrews 7:27; Matthew
26:53.
Colossians
1:23 If you continue in the faith grounded and settled and be not moved
away from the hope of the
gospel, which you have heard and which was preached
to every creature which is under heaven, whereof I Paul am made a minister.(who
was Paul?);
God
will never forsake
you or hold anything you may have done, are now doing or may do in
the future against you, but the other side to that is, He also would
never
override you either.
Colossians
1:24 Who now rejoices in my sufferings for you and fill up that which
is behind of the afflictions of Christ being in my flesh for the sake of
his body, which is the church..(*)
2Corinthians
4:10.
Comprised
with.Barnes
Notes:."And
fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ".Paul
seems to mean, 1. that he suffered in the same cause as that for which
Christ suffered; 2. that he endured the same kind of sufferings to some
extent, in reproaches, persecutions and opposition from the world; 3. that
he had not yet suffered as much as Christ did in this cause and though
he had suffered greatly, yet there was much that was lacking in this respect
compared to what Emmanuel had gone through; 4. that he felt that in his
present circumstances he was fast filling up the gap between Emmanuel's
sufferings and his own. Paul had been led to pursue a course of life which
conducted him through trials strongly resembling those which Emmanuel himself
endured.
Colossians
1:25 Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation
of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;
Colossians
1:26 Even the
mystery which has been hid from ages and from generations, but now
is made manifest
to his saints.
Colossians
1:27.To whom God
would make known.(*).what
is the riches of the glory.of
this mystery among the
Gentiles, which is Christ
in you, the hope
of glory.
It
was a mystery to those in Old Testament times because the Gentiles
were not included with Israel, but now, in the New Testament era, the
'hope of glory' is open for all to grasp:.Acts
13:45-48.
Though
salvation is open to all (2Corinthians
6:2), there are those not embracing
it. Who are
these that don't?
Colossians
1:28 Whom we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all
wisdom.(example),
that we may present every man perfect in Christ Emmanuel..
In
your workshop you've created what is to be a perfect work of art to be
placed in view for all to see, perhaps in a museum,
but although your
sculpture
now exists, it's in
the rough and requires
finishing and polishing before it is ready for display.
Colossians
1:29 Whereunto I also labour, striving
according to his working.(following
Father-Creator's lead as best you comprehend
it to be at any time during your spiritual growth).which
works in me mightily.
Word
'mightily' not in original.
1Corinthians
15:10.
