Nebuchadnezzar-II
and Job were two men greatly abased.
First we look at Nebuchadnezzar-II,
to whom God gave him the mind of a beast for 7 years to humble
him:.Proverbs
15:33; 18:12. Why did he
lack humility? He was ego filled:.Daniel
4:29-31.
Daniel
4:37 "Now I Nebuchadnezzar-II.(a
powerful world ruler in Daniel's time,
he was king of Babylon,
a very great ancient city; this was in about B.C.E.
534).praise
and extol and honor the King of heaven, all whose works are truth and his
ways judgment and those that walk in pride
He is able to abase.(original
Hebrew is 'depress, sink')."
The agony
was Nebuchadnezzar-II's. Likewise
the agony of living is ours when alone without the Creator's influence
in our lives, living by our egos
for what else do we then have to live by? When with the Creator, we come
to begin to understand and travel onward in mind toward an
overstanding
of
why any agony.
Great king Nebuchadnezzar-II
finally was abased. And in that abasement he discovered
how
great the true God is. He now, in retrospect.(looking
back on things), saw how prideful
he had been.
Read Nebuchadnezzar-II's
story in Daniel 4th chapter of how this great
King of Babylon became an actual wild beast for seven years and in all
this, kept his reason leading him to come to know the real God:.Daniel
4:33-36.
Psalms
107:12,13 "Therefore he brought down their heart with labour.(original
is 'misery'; it's misery to live a life never getting the abundance in
all areas of life because, though you have the gift from God, you may not
know how to use it
properly); they fell down and there
was none to help. Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble and he
saved them out of their distresses."
Creator is in absolute total
control
of everything going on. Much He allows and some
He steers. In things important to His designed purpose, He intervenes
to keep His plan on
track.
He allows the evil so we'll
develop the character of a higher consciousness through struggling against
it in choosing only good. God
could have made it easier, but God knows how much each of us can take:.1Corinthians
10:13. And in this pressure
cooker of life is the opportunity to fix a
reward forever:.Isaiah
13:12 "I will make a man more precious than fine gold...." 1Peter
1:6,7 "...though now for a season, if need be, you are in
heaviness through manifold
temptations.(original
for word 'temptations' is 'trials'; it's a pressure cooker). That
the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perishes,
though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and
glory at the appearing of Emmanuel Christ."
In all else, it is because
of Him we even breathe:.Psalms
66:9 "Which holds our soul in life and suffers.(allows).our
feet not to be moved." Acts 17:28
"For in him we live and move and have our being, as certain also of your
own poets have said, For we are also his offspring." Colossians
1:17 "And he is before all things and by him all things consist."
Hebrews
1:3 "Who being the brightness of his glory and the express image of
his person and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had
by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty
on high.".John
3:13. That's Emmanuel. What
about Creator-Father?
The reason
why we are here eludes
most people. In Nebuchadnezzar-II's
case of his big ego, Creator wanted a particular
point of character.inculcated.
The Creator always accomplishes His purpose:.Romans
9:19 ".....For who has resisted his
will.....?"
