-King
of Tyrus:.B.C.E.
940, The king of Tyrus was an antitype
of Lucifer.
His name was Ethbaal. The name, king of Tyrus, was a takeoff from the ancient
city of Tyre:.Ezekiel
28:12-19.
The name Ethbaal means 'with
Baal'. He was the prince or king of Tyre, who served Baal
by worshipping, which means giving attention to the things of Baal, the
false God many pagans
back then regarded as the source of power to protect and bless them, the
more so they followed the evil path of life. Ethbaal's daughter was the
evil Jezebel who carried on the corrupt
line with her evil husband Ahab:.1Kings
16:31. Dido, the founder of Carthage, was Ahab's granddaughter.
The worship of Baal by the
Phoenicians
is illustrated by such names as EthBAAL, IthoBAL, HanniBAL, etc. Abundant
traces of it are found in the Phoenician monuments.
Ethbaal was originally priest
of the great temple of Astarte,
in Tyre. At the age of 36 he conspired against the Tyrian king, Pheles,
killed him and seized the throne. His reign lasted 32 years, B.C.E. 940-908
and he established a dynasty
which continued on the throne at least 62 years longer.
Behind all spiritual pride
as Lucifer became filled with, is usually jealousy,
which leads to a destructive hatred and on into murder:.John
8:44.
Behind the King of Tyrus
was the devil or at least, under his direction other high ranking evil
entities.(demons).he
assigned to pump
the negative decisions the physical King of Tyrus and Ahab made. The devil
does this to progressively corrupt one, attempting to bring one to a point
of no return.
Lucifer became what we call
the
devil.
