...It is through love that
we are filled with the fulness
of God:.Ephesians
3:19 "And to know the love of Christ, which passes
knowledge, that you might be filled with all the fulness of God." 1Corinthians
13:8 "...whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there
be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish
away.".While
one is a new spiritual person, unskilled in the word of righteousness,
things such as prophesying over another might be encouraging.(Ephesians
4:11-14).and
then:.Hebrews
5:13 to 6:2.
Often prophecies involve
predictions about a member having a greater participation in the Lord's
work in some particular way in the near future. Seldom is there ever a
date mentioned as to when these things are to occur for the person. I have
seen decades pass with no fulfillment. At what point should one class them
as false prophets?
Prophesying occurred in the
early New Testament church
when the word of God, the Holy Bible, was yet to be canonized:.Matthew
7:21,22 "Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied
in your name? And in your name have cast out devils? And in your name done
many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you.
Depart from me, you that work iniquity."
