Mark 10:1 And he arose from thence and came into the coasts of Judaea by the farther side of Jordan and the people resort unto him again and, as he was wont, he taught them again.

Mark 10:2-4 And the Pharisees came to him and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting him.(trying to get him in an argument where they might trap him and discredit him). And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?  And they said, Moses suffered.(permitted, allowed).to write a bill of divorcement and to put her away.
Deuteronomy 24:1-4.
Mark 10:5 And Emmanuel answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.

Mark 10:6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female..(parallel account by Matthew is in Matthew 19:7-9)

Mark 10:7-9 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife; And they twain.(two).shall be one.(original 'into'; or, into each others).flesh. So then.(or because of this being into each others flesh).they are no more twain, but one.(here the original for the word 'one' is 'one').flesh. What therefore God has joined together.(some may say, 'you mean God worked it out that I get this person who is so terrible to me?' God works with all of us even though we may not be aware of it {*}; you got the person you have because of the consciousness you have developed that attracted that type of person, because, the Creator set things up to be that way when all was created; it's a universal law that you get what you are and if you change, all else changes and in this, we are all perfected), let not man put asunder..(?)

Mark 10:10-12 And in the house his disciples asked him again of the same matter. And he said unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife and marry another, commits adultery against her.(not against God, against her, for what can hurt God? just means that this was out of alignment with how God set it all up and that, of course is always for man's good). And if a woman puts away her husband and be married to another, she commits adultery.

Mark 10:13 And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.

Mark 10:14 But when Emmanuel saw it, he was much displeased and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not. For of such is the kingdom of God.

Mark 10:15 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child.(a little child receives things as true, in simplicity and with wonderment, as he or she isn't yet motivated continually by selfishness which is a negative that destroys wonderment), he shall not enter therein.

Mark 10:16 And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them and blessed them.

Mark 10:17 And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running and kneeled to him and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?

Mark 10:18 And Emmanuel said unto him, Why call you me good? there is none good but one.(?), that is, God.

Mark 10:19 You know the commandments.(Exodus 20:3-17), Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness.(Proverbs 12:17), Defraud not, Honor your father and mother.(regard them highly esteemed by appreciating what they have done by bringing you into the world and looking after you as best they were physically and mentally able to).

Mark 10:20 And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth.

Mark 10:21 Then Emmanuel beholding.(looking at; attention on).him loved him.(by having love and concern in His heart).and said unto him, One thing you lack. Go your way, sell whatsoever you have and give to the poor.(original for word 'poor' here is those ready to fall in life and are alarmed about it', means those in dire straits in life; assisting those in such severe circumstances as best you can shows what you're character is made of:.Luke 9:54-56).and you shall have treasure in heaven.(verse 30 below).and come take up the cross.(what can you do here?).and follow me..(?)

Mark 10:22-26 And he was sad at that saying and went away grieved, for he had great possessions.(the young man knew he had to change to a life of love and get away from his selfishness, as he knew some about the Old Testament as verses 19, 20 show and he also probably knew the scriptures about staying in the good way one decides to be in and that takes faith, a trusting  in the true God of all good creation:.Leviticus:18:4,5; Nehemiah 9:29; Ezekiel 20:11; Galatians 3:12). And Emmanuel looked round about and said unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Emmanuel answers again and said unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.(*). And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved?

Mark 10:27 And Emmanuel looking upon them said, With men it is impossible but not with God, for with God all things are possible.(*).

Mark 10:29 And Emmanuel answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that has left house or brethren or sisters, or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for my sake and the gospel's..(if you can't live with those you love, you'll have comfort from those who care)

Mark 10:30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses and brethren and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions.(low consciousness people have a hard time trusting and liking those of higher consciousness, hence, they tend to be hard on them {*} and out of jealously may shun from you, even saying bad thing of your life and perhaps falsely accusing you of something just to get you into trouble).and in the world to come eternal life..
Comprised with.Clarke's Commentary:.while you meet with nothing but kindness from true Christians, you shall be despised and often afflicted by those who are not yet of God, those still averse to goodness as the Pharisees were:.Matthew 23rd chapter; Romans 5:10; Philippians 3:18,19; Colossians 1:21; James 4:4. What to do about it:.Luke 6:27,35; Matthew 5:12; Romans 5:3; James 1:2-4; 1Peter 1:6; Hebrews 12:6.
Mark 10:31 But many that are first shall be last and the last first.
Matthew 20:16.
Mark 10:35 And James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came unto him, saying, Master, we would that you should do for us whatsoever we shall desire.

Mark 10:36 And he said unto them, What would you that I should do for you?

Mark 10:37 They said unto him, Grant unto us that we may sit, one on your right hand and the other on your left hand, in your glory.(in the kingdom of God, once resurrected).
The ego of people, including these disciples, always wants to number one.
Mark 10:38 But Emmanuel said unto them, You know not what you're asking. Can you drink of the cup that I drink of and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?

Mark 10:39 And they said unto him, We can. And Emmanuel said unto them, You shall indeed drink of the cup that I drink of and with the baptism that I am baptized withal shall you be baptized,

Mark 10:40 But to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give. It shall be given to them for whom it is prepared.
Original for "whom it is prepared" is 'to them who have prepared'. How does one prepare?
Mark 10:41 And when the ten heard it, they began to be much displeased with James and John.
These guys are trying to get ahead of us.
Mark 10:42 But Emmanuel called them to come to him and said, You know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them and their great ones exercise authority upon them.

Mark 10:43-45 But so shall it not be among you, but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister.(servant).and whosoever of you wants tp be the chiefest, needs to first learn to be servant of all.(Isaiah 66:2). For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister and to give his life a ransom.(to give up something to benefit another or others).for many.

Mark 10:46-50 And they came to Jericho. And as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. And when he heard that it was Emmanuel of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, Emmanuel, you Son of David, have mercy on me. And many charged him that he should hold his peace. But he cried the more a great deal, You Son of David, have mercy on me. And Emmanuel stood still and commanded him to be called. And they called the blind man saying unto him, Be of good comfort rise, he calls you. And he cast away his garment and rose and came to Emmanuel.

Mark 10:51 And Emmanuel answered and said unto him, What will you that I should do unto you? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.

Mark 10:52 And Emmanuel said unto him, Go your way, your faith has made you whole. And immediately he received his sight and followed Emmanuel in the way.
