Are
terrorists enemies? Yes. Are they reasonable men questing
for a noble solution to their grievances?
No. Can you reach an amicable
solution with them. No. So we are left with confrontation, enough physical
involvement to eliminate such threats upon good hearted people.
But, it is really a warfare
of a different kind and so the weapons must also be distinct:.2Corinthians
10:4.
It is a warfare
of the heart:.Matthew
15:19.
Top notch security
people know this...
What are the weapons of this
warfare?.Ephesians
6:10-18.
Terrorists are not coming
against 'us' per
se; they are coming against the very idea of good, because we know
its the dark side
influences. And that's not smart.
If we know that Christ is
in us.(with
what that means), enemies come
not against us, but against Him.
By all means, a peaceful
solution should be sought, so much so that any enemy will know for sure
that peace is a sincerity of heart.
Never threaten with a big
sword. Having a big sword and the confidence and ability to use it is all
that is necessary. Emmanuel had a very big sword:.Matthew
26:52,53 "Then said Emmanuel unto him, Put up again thy sword into
its place, for all they that take the sword perish with the sword. Thinkest
thou that I cannot now pray to my Father and he shall presently give me
more than twelve legions
of angels?".And
you have the same power once aligned with the Great Infinite One. You may
not have known this, but one of the reasons the Infinite One becoming human
was to make us His equal. This
said Emmanuel when they were taking Him to be
crucified. He could have stopped it, but was strong enough not to.
How He got this strength:.Matthew
26:39,42,44.
He got such strength and
was ready to face His destiny
with courage:.Matthew
26:46; John
18:36,37 "My kingdom is not of this world...You say that I am a king.
To this end was I born and for this cause came I into the world..."
Remember, it is a war of
the invisible we fight, not the visible:.Ephesians
6:12. Once you win the invisible war, there is no hint of visible war
to be found.
And we only wrestle against
these invisible things to the extent
of our lack
in understanding:.Colossians
2:15. Here it says Christ has already defeated any and all enemies.
So, obviously then, we must be in line with the universal laws that will
produce peace and to this end, Dr.
John Hagelin is on the forfront with building 'universities of peace'
and constructing homes in alignment with the universal energies and such
things are most important for the peace and prosperity of all humanity.
Our strength is in Him and
comes from belief:.Mark
6:5,6.
But if we trust
in our 'mighty machines' of warfare, we too may lose:.Isaiah
31:1-3.
"We never drift into strength.
Drifting makes no muscle; the muscle is impoverished. The man who drifts
with the stream appears to be conserving his strength, while in reality
the ease is just the measure of the leakage. It is the man who appears
to be expending strength.(Matthew
11:12).who
is really gaining it; the man toiling at the oar and resisting the stream,
he acquires the power of the stream he resists. The policy of drifting
appears to find, but it loses; the policy of resistance and endurance appears
to lose, but it grandly finds. It is not by silence, but by expression
that we win." ...Jowett.
