2Corinthians
10:1 Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of
Christ, that I am in presence.(outward
appearance).base.(humiliated.{in
circumstances or disposition},
base, cast down, humble, of low degree {estate},
lowly).among you, but being
absent am bold toward you.
Paul
was bold in his letters, gentle when around others and his physical appearance
belied
his effectiveness. Paul wrote many of the letters in the New Testament,
which we now call books.
2Corinthians
10:3 For though we walk in the flesh we do not war after the flesh.
Paul
means here that the warfare for high consciousness people is a spiritual
warfare, not the fleshly warfare that leads man further from spirituality.
The common warfare of ordinary consciousness persons is a dark
side trick to keep the world away from spiritual growth.
2Corinthians
10:4 For the weapons.(one
weapon
we have; others:.Ephesians
6:10-18; 1Timothy 1:18; 2Timothy
2:3-5).of our warfare.(?).are
not carnal.(of
the low consciousness ego level),
but mighty through God.(the
high consciousness things).to
the pulling down of strong holds.
Things
of the ego that keep your soul
in prison and away from the flow of higher
consciousness things Christ came
to reveal to humanity from the Father that would set
you free.
Why is God
called the 'Father'? Because from Him comes everything. The Father is the
intelligence in the
oneness
that created all, even his son, called the
Word. The Soul is the
mother of us all. In these things is revealed even the power to keep
you from your own faults:.2Samuel
22:24 "...have kept myself from mine iniquity."
2Corinthians
10:5 Casting down imaginations.(our
thoughts).and every high thing
that exalts itself against the knowledge of God.(the
knowledge of God is His high
consciousness ways; many thoughts we have snuff Godly based concerns
out of us).and bringing into
captivity.(make
sure that all your thoughts are in line with love, in line with the
good, because."thoughts
are spiritual forces"....Bruno
Gröning).every thought
to the obedience.(original
for word 'obedience' is 'listening
and hearkening').of
Christ;
What
is.'Christ'?
2Corinthians
10:6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience.(original
for 'disobedience' is 'hearing amiss'
or the knowledge errors you have lived life with up to now:.1Thessalonians
5:21), when your obedience is fulfilled.
2Corinthians
10:7 Do you look on things after the outward appearance?.(*).If
any man trust to himself that he is Christ, let him of himself think this
again, that, as he is Christ, even so are we Christ.
In
the original Paul is saying that if one believes that he is equal
with Christ, let him not be puffed up by this, but realize that this
is true of the rest of us also:.John
10:30 "I and my Father are one."
2Corinthians
10:8 For though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which
the Lord has given us for edification
and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed,
2Corinthians
10:9,10 That I may not seem as if I would terrify you by letters. For
his letters say they, are weighty and powerful, but his bodily presence
is weak and his speech contemptible.
2Corinthians
10:11 Let such an one think this, that such as we are in word by letters
when we are absent such will we be also in deed when we are present.
2Corinthians 10:12 For we dare not make ourselves
of the number or compare ourselves with some that commend
themselves, but they measuring themselves by themselves and comparing themselves
among themselves are not wise.
2Corinthians
10:12 For we dare not make ourselves of the number.(or,
make ourselves the same as those that compare themselves).or
compare ourselves with some that commend
themselves.(Luke
18:9-14; John 5:44), but
they measuring themselves.(typical
of the low consciousness ego
level of living).by.(original
for 'by' can also mean 'among' which fits here better with the context).themselves
and comparing themselves among themselves.(making
judgments).are not wise..(?).(?).(*)
2Corinthians
10:13,14 But we will not boast of things without our measure, but according
to the measure of the rule which God has distributed to us, a measure to
reach even unto you. We stretch not ourselves beyond our measure, as though
we reached not unto you.(didn't
use hyperboles
in speaking to you, which would have taken our message away from you, placing
it somewhere above the general.ability
to comprehend),
for we are come as far as to you also in preaching the gospel of Christ.
2Corinthians
10:15 Not boasting of things without our measure.(he's
saying our message is all about the gospel of Christ {Romans
1:16; 10:15} and we stick
within that framework),
that is, of other men's labours, but having hope, when your
faith is increased, that we shall be enlarged by you according to our
rule abundantly.
We'll
be happy that our efforts brought forth in you those eternal spiritual
things:.1Corinthians
9:22. That is, they were enlarged in heart, they grew spiritually and
because of the dedication of the leaders Paul and others. A leader is one
who is ahead of others, until these others grow into full formation:.Galatians
4:19; Colossians 2:2.
2Corinthians
10:18 For not he that commends himself is approved, but whom God commends.
