2Corinthians
11:2 For I am jealous over you with Godly jealousy.
For I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a
chaste virgin to Christ.
2Corinthians
11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent
beguiled.Eve
through his subtilty,
so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
How
did the devil beguile Eve?.Genesis
3:1-5.
So, always
be on the qui vive.
If what you may be hearing doesn't bespeak
comfort.(*).and
peace to your heart, reject
it.
2Corinthians
11:4 For if he that comes preaches another Emmanuel.(Matthew
24:5 "For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ and shall
deceive many."),
whom we have not preached or if you receive another spirit, which you have
not received or another gospel, which you have not accepted, you might
well bear with him.(or,
'because of where you may be spiritually, you probably would go along with
it').
2Corinthians
11:7 Have I committed an offence in abasing myself that you might be
exalted, because I have preached to you the gospel of God freely?
2Corinthians
11:8-11 I robbed other churches, taking wages of them, to do you service.
And when I was present with you and wanted.(was
lacking), I was chargeable to no man. For that which was
lacking to me the brethren which came from Macedonia supplied. And in all
things I have kept myself from being burdensome unto you and so will I
keep myself. As the truth of Christ is in me, no man shall stop me of this
boasting in the regions of Achaia. Wherefore? because I love you not? God
knows.
2Corinthians
11:12 But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from
them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found
even as we.
Barnes
Notes:."The
course of life which I have been pursuing I will continue to pursue. That
is, I will continue to preach as I have done without demanding a support.
I will labor with my own hands if necessary. I will preach without demanding
rigidly what I might be entitled to."
2Corinthians
11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming
themselves.(changing
themselves to make it look as).into
the apostles
of Christ..(*)
Satanic
ways are counterfeits.
They are always lies. The satanic beings and those influenced by
them cannot tell the truth:.John
8:44. But they are cunning
in their methods
of deceit:.Revelation
12:9. Be very careful
trusting authorities.
2Corinthians
11:14 And no marvel, for Satan himself is transformed into an angel
of light.(*).
Revelation
12:9.
2Corinthians 11:15 Therefore it is no great thing
if his ministers, also
be transformed as the ministers of righteousness whose end shall be according
to their works.
2Corinthians
11:15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers.(a
minister
is one who executes the commands of another {many so-called elites have
shown {Matthew 7:16,20} by their
satanic practices {look up 'satanic ritual abuse'} that they are ministers
of the dark side, which is against you, in
spite of how one may get sucked into doing bad
things and heading toward evil), also be transformed as the
ministers of righteousness.(it
all appears so good, at the beginning or you would not have gone for it:.Psalms
116:3; Proverbs 9:17,18;
Jonah
2:1,2; 2Corinthians 2:11;
2Thessalonians
2:9,10).whose
end shall be according to their works.(*).
2Corinthians
11:20 For you suffer, if a man bring you into bondage, if a man devour
you, if a man take of you, if a man exalt himself, if a man smite you on
the face.
2Corinthians
11:21 I speak as concerning reproach, as though we had been weak. Howbeit
whereinsoever any is bold, I speak foolishly, I am bold also.
If
they are bold in their errors, I can be just as bold in the truth.
2Corinthians
11:22 Are they Hebrews? so am I. Are they Israelites? so am I. Are
they the seed of Abraham? so am I.
Philippians
3:4-6.
2Corinthians
11:23 Are they ministers of Christ? I speak as a fool.(see
context).
I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons
more frequent, in deaths oft.(often
in peril of death).
2Corinthians
11:24 Of the legalistically cruel Jews.(these
were either Khazarians
hiding amongst the tribe
of Judah people or pehaps Judeans or a
mixture).five times received
I forty stripes save one.
Why
only 39 stripes with a whip?.Barnes
Notes: The word 'stripes' does not occur in the original, but is
necessarily understood. The Old Testament law of Moses expressly limited
the number of stripes that might be inflicted, to forty:.Deuteronomy
25:3. In no case might this number be exceeded. This was a humane.provision
and one that was not found among the heathen,
who inflicted
any number of blows at discretion.
Among professedly
Christian nations the practice of whipping prevails
and particularly
in slave countries, where the master inflicts any number of blows at his
pleasure. In practice among the Hebrews, the number of blows inflicted
was, in fact, limited to thirty-nine, lest, by any accident in counting,
the criminal should receive more than the number prescribed in the law.
There was another reason still for limiting it to thirty-nine. They usually
made use of a scourge
with three thongs
and this was struck thirteen times. According to the great historian Josephus
in one of his 20 books on the antiquities.of
what he calls, the Jews, specifically Antiquities book iv. Zec. viii.
& 21, it was usual to inflict only thirty-nine lashes.
Eclectic
Notes; They gave one short of 40 by doing thirteen strokes with
a treble.lash.
2Corinthians
11:25 Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice
I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep.(perhaps
hanging on to a piece of wreckage);
2Corinthians
11:26 In journeyings often.(how
often?), in perils of waters.(storms),
in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the
heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils
in the sea, in perils among false brethren;
2Corinthians
11:27 In weariness and painfulness, in watchings.(difficulty
sleeping peacefully; had to be alert for dangers).often,
in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.
2Corinthians
11:28 Beside those things that are without, that which come upon me
daily, the care of all the churches.
2Corinthians
11:29 Who is weak and I am not weak? Who is offended and I burn not?
Paul
had empathetic
feelings toward others.
2Corinthians
11:30 If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern
mine infirmities.
2Corinthians
11:31 The God and Father of our Lord Emmanuel the Christ, which is
blessed for evermore, knows that I lie not.
2Corinthians
11:32 In Damascus the governor under Aretas the king kept the city
of the Damascenes with a garrison, desirous to apprehend me.
2Corinthians
11:33 And through a window in a basket was I let down by the wall and
escaped his hands.
