Philippians
3:1 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things
to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.
Philippians
3:2.Beware
of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.
Philippians
3:3 For we are the circumcision.(Jeremiah
4:4), which worship God in the spirit.(?).and
rejoice in Christ.Emmanuel
and have no confidence in the flesh.
What
are works of the flesh that have nothing to do with the spirit?.Galatians
5:17. Why? On
the other hand, physical works done out of one's high consciousness
spirituality, gains one a reward.
What about the Old Testament's Mosaic Law that was with the people back
then, was it not spiritual?
Philippians
3:4 Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other
man thinks that he has whereof
he might trust in the flesh, I more.
Paul
was extremely well qualified in his
earlier life. Though sincere, he later found out (how?)
that he was sincerely wrong.
Philippians
3:5 Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe
of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;
Philippians
3:6 Concerning zeal,
persecuting the church.(before
Paul's conversion he was just
terrible); touching the righteousness which is in the
law.(that
is, in the Mosaic Law as corrupted and taught by the criminal Pharisees
in Christ's time on Earth:.Matthew
23:13-33), blameless.
Philippians 3:7 But what things were gain to me,
those I counted loss for Christ.
Philippians
3:7 But what things were gain to me.(things
he gained by being as described above from verse 4 to here), those
I counted loss for Christ.
The things
that had importance to him in life, were, in comparison to the riches of
the spiritual life and what it offered, dung (next verse).
Philippians 3:8 Yea doubtless and I count all things
but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Emmanuel my Lord,
for whom I have suffered the loss of all things and do count them but dung,
that I may win Christ,
Philippians
3:8 Yea doubtless and I count all things but loss for the excellency
of the knowledge of Christ Emmanuel.(what
was this excellency of knowledge that Christ held?).my
Lord,
for whom I have suffered the loss of all things and do count them but dung.(what
were the things Paul went through?), that I may win Christ.(or
'to gain the character of Christ', meaning that he, Paul,
would not let physical things hinder
him from allowing Christ to work in him:.Ephesians
2:10.
The Creator
expresses
as us but only
if we want that. And if so, what
can we do?
Philippians
3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own
righteousness, which is of the law.(Paul
was very legalistic in his earlier years), but
but
that which is through the faith of Christ, the
righteousness which is of God by faith.
Because
it was faith that brought it to you as a gift that you can accept, if
you are of the mind to do so:.Romans
5:17.
Philippians 3:10 That I may know him and the power
of his resurrection and the.fellowship
of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.
Philippians
3:10 That I may know him and the power.(Matthew
7:21; 2Timothy 3:5).of
his
resurrection and the.fellowship
of his sufferings.(Luke
24:46; how can we know the fellowship of his sufferings?.Matthew
Henry's Commentary: We should think about the sufferings and resurrection
of Christ, until we feel in our souls the power of his resurrection and
the fellowship of his sufferings. Did you know it was this terrible
what he went through, for us?.Isaiah
52:14, please see notes there),
being made conformable unto
his death.
That is, He
suffered for us so we wouldn't have to. This brought us into fellowship
with him:.1Peter
3:18 "For Christ also has once suffered for sins, the just for the
unjust, that he might bring us to God,
being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit."
Christ's gift
of death for us: Romans
8:4 "That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who
walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit." Romans
8:31 "What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who
can be against us?"
Philippians
3:11 If by any means.(and
he
meant it!).I might attain
unto the resurrection of the dead.
Philippians
3:12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect.(*).
But I follow after, if that I may apprehend
that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Emmanuel.
Paul
is talking about himself living up to what he thought God wants of him.
This was Paul's mind and he was dedicated to the life he believed he should
live. It's interesting to compare Paul's
life with the life of John:.John:13:23.
Philippians
3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended. But this one
thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forth
unto those things which are in front of me,
Philippians 3:14 I press toward the mark for a
prize in the high calling of.God through
Christ.Emmanuel.
Philippians
3:14 I press.(Paul
diligently kept his eye on the goal and took steps to ensure he would make
it; what
steps?).toward the mark.(*).for
a prize in the high calling.(?).of
God
through Christ Emmanuel.
About 'God
in Christ'. Each of us have been awakened to be in Christ. What
does that mean?
Paul is saying
he was on the road, the purpose of his life now, which was being in
Christ. The purpose of the Creator is for us to share in all God is
and this way has been opened
to all by Christ:.John
14:6.
Never
feel you need to be punished to be like Christ.
Paul
was dedicated to this way.
Philippians 3:15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect,
be thus minded. And if in anything you be
otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.
Philippians
3:15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect.(means
you are aware of your
true nature), be thus
minded. And if in any thing you be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even
this unto you.
How
and when? God is the same today as He has always been, so this applies
also to how He telepathically.communicated
with those in Old
Testament times. Things may come to one's mind, but we must be
sure to listen. If we don't, well
then, that's our choosing.
Philippians
3:16 Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by
the same rule, let us mind the same thing.
Philippians
3:17 Brethren, be followers together of me and mark.(or,
take note of).them which walk.(Hebrews
11:13).so as you have us
for an ensample.(Old
English way of spelling the word 'example').
Philippians
3:18 For many walk, of whom I have told you often and now tell you
even weeping, that they are the enemies.(original
'hostile', 'opposers',
'dividers').of
the cross of Christ.(who
were they?).
The
bitch Delilah who cut her opportunity for a relationship off in order
to join the thinking of the criminal cabal back then, getting money for
turning over her lover to them to kill. She had the same attitude
as Judas Iscariot, who came
much later in Christ's time. All those of satanic influence always elicit.similar
attitudes:.2Corinthians
2:11.
Why would they
be the enemies of what the cross of Christ meant? Next verse below and
consider that God made some to be vessels of destruction:.Romans
9:22.
Who
are these that become the enemies of all that is good and how did they
get to be that way?
They let their
egos keep them from the spirituality Christ came
to reveal. The more power in life an individual of low consciousness
has
the worse it gets. Forget
the low consciousness ego level of your life and head for the good life,
if you have enough
good genes to do so.
How?
Philippians
3:19 Whose end.(original
adds 'the last in any succession', of actions, of thinking).is
destruction.(and
why? because of the next phrase),
whose God is their belly.(original
adds 'to be given up to the pleasures of the palate,
to gluttony':.Titus
1:12).and whose glory is
in their shame.(original
adds 'a thing to be ashamed of'), who mind Earthly
things.
Barnes
Notes: Such are they who give the most attention to their own appetites
and for self-indulgence
and sensual.gratifications:
Romans
16:18; Titus 1:12. Why are they
like that? see verse 18 above.
Revelation
18:4.
Philippians 3:20 For our conversation is in heaven,
from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Emmanuel the Christ.
Philippians
3:20 For our conversation.(the
word 'conversation' is an old English word for 'conduct' and 'citizenship';
on Earth we are said to be strangers and pilgrims, while awaiting a new
country:.Hebrews
11:13-16).is in heaven.(heaven
is the kingdom of the Creator in you,
a being in and growing in attitude
or in your spirit, that is, not in the low level consciousness of man,
but rather, in
the higher consciousness of God {so then, what
does 'in Christ' mean?}, see verse 14 above and Ephesians
1:3 to see how we're in this thing called heaven while on Earth and
emulate
the conduct befitting of
that
calling to become a member of
the family of the Creator:.2Peter
3:18; from whence also we look forthe
Saviour, the Lord Emmanuel the Christ.
Note that our
conduct is in this 'heaven' which is inside us (those of the God family)
and that it is from here that we are to look for Christ's full consciousness
to unfold. Many people are still
waiting for His appearance in the physical.
Philippians 3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that
it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working
whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
Philippians
3:21 Who shall change our vile.(original
for 'vile' is 'lower in state',
that is, lower in frequencies
as compared to high consciousness spirit energy, because all
is energy frequencies; just means our human fleshly body).body,
that it may be fashioned.(the
fashioning
time is happening).like unto his
glorious body, according to the
working whereby he is able even to subdue.(original
'align with' and thus,
is our purpose on Earth; and what
is the 'Him' that we should be aligning with, if not what He is and
He is love and love is a
higher consciousness mind).all
things unto himself..(why?.Colossians
1:18 "...that in all things he.(who's
he?).might
have the preeminence.".(that
is, that love predominates)
Philippians
4:1 Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and
crown, so stand fast in the Lord.(1Thessalonians
3:8), my dearly beloved.
Paul
was responsible for them knowing Christ. Paul traveled widely.(maps).in
this ancient world in reaching others with the good news for their lives.
Philippians
4:2 I beseech Euodias and beseech Syntyche.(women
who helped Paul in the work he did at Philippi),
that they be of the same mind in the
Lord.
Philippians
4:3 And I intreat you also, true yokefellow, help those women which
laboured with me in the
gospel, with Clement also and with other my fellow labourers, whose
names are in the book
of life.
Philippians
4:4 Rejoice in the Lord alway. And again I say, Rejoice.
Philippians
4:5 Let your moderation.(Barnes
Notes: original is 'restraint
on the passions', 'general.soberness
of living', 'being free from all excesses'; the word properly means that
which is 'fit or suitably proper and reasonable' and then 'propriety',
'considerateness', 'deference',
'gentleness', 'mildness', 'patience'; they were to indulge in no excess
of passion or dress or eating or drinking, instead governing their appetites,
restraining their temper
and to be examples of what was proper as being the best in men and women).be
known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
Philippians 4:6 Be careful
for nothing, but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving
let your requests be made known unto God.
Philippians
4:6 Be careful.(original
is 'anxious', 'having anxiety',
'taking anxious thought for' or worried
about what you are doing); many people are worried over their tomorrows
and this takes them out of the present moment, wherein is the Creator and
the Creator is high conscious principles including joy {Nehemiah
8:10 "...the joy of the Lord is your strength."},
so worry robs you of a joyful present).for
nothing.(or,
one could say, 'don't be anxious about anything, just turn it all over
to God' who cares for you {1Peter 5:7}
and deal with things, if they still come along {as there may be something
in it for you to learn}, on the day they must be dealt with),
but in every thing by prayer and supplication.(not
vain
prayer, but prayer {which is your requests, your heartfelt feeling for}
regarding things that deeply matter to you with a desire for a response:.Matthew
6:8 "...your Father knows what things you have need of before you ask
him."}, but no 'asky', no 'getty'; so ask,
then let it go, knowing the universe knows how to best bring it to fruition).with
thanksgiving.(always
be in a grateful
attitude {Philippians 2:13; Colossians
3:15; 1Thessalonians 5:18}
because you are sure God is absolutely aware of and taking care of {in
His own way}.all
aspects of your life:.Ephesians
2:10).let your requests.(original
from Thayer on the word 'requests' has to do with 'something to be given',
as opposed to 'something not to be done', in other words, asking God that
something be not done).be made known
unto God.
Both Job and
Jeremiah had to straighten out their attitudes in what they asked God about.
What's for us to learn about this?.Job
30:20,21,26. 1Corinthians
10:11.
Comprised
with.Barnes
Notes: on not being careful for anything: There is a degree of
thinking and industry about the things of this life which is proper:.1Timothy
5:8 "But if any provide not for his own and specially for those of
his own house, he...is worse than an infidel." 2Thessalonians
3:10 "...if any would not work, neither should he eat."
It's saying
to keep engaged in activities that provide benefit for yourself and others,
not to just sit around most of the time. Instead, become an interesting
person, alive,
interested
in the world. Sincere
interest in another shows you care about them and it's a component
of a loving attitude.".Romans
12:11 "Not slothful in business..."
Matthew
6:25-34 shows us not to worry about money and not to be anxious
about the supply of wants.
But rather, learn
how to get your wants, because God will never
override your mindset and force them upon you. As He says in verse
25, the life is more than food and the body is more than just the clothes
you put on. The Creator will take care of these. He has given you life.
He created the body. Shall not he, who has conferred
the greater blessing of eternal life, be willing to confer the less? Shall
not He, who has formed the body out of His power and goodness, see that
it is properly protected and clothed? He who has displayed so great goodness
as to form the body and breathe into it the breath of life, will surely
follow up the blessing and confer the smaller favor of providing that the
body should be clothed and that life be preserved.
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God which passes
all understanding will keep your hearts and minds through Christ
Emmanuel.
Philippians
4:7 And the peace of God which passes all understanding.(original
is 'passes the
mind', that is, passes into the
soul frpm God's Soul and this is beyond the normal functioning of the
carnal mind to comprehend:.Romans
8:7; 2Corinthians 3:16).will
keep your hearts.(in
this 'thing' called Christ we are kept {Isaiah
53:5; Ephesians 2:14; Hebrews
13:5} as the higher consciousness individuals we came here to be and
in Christ, we are kept
from
getting discouraged), because our important attentions involve Christ).and
minds through.(original
is."in";
that is, if in Christ, that is aligned with love; comprehend what
'Christ' fully means).Christ.Emmanuel..(?)
But for those
living with limitations, there is no peace. Learn
how to rise above.
Philippians 4:8 Finally brethren
whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things
are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever
things are of good report; if there be any virtue and if there be any praise,
think
on these things.
Philippians
4:8 Finally brethren whatsoever things
are true, whatsoever things are honest.(original
for word 'honest' is 'worthy of giving attention to'),
whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things
are pure, whatsoever things are lovely.(acceptable
for lasting happiness, pleasing), whatsoever
things are of good report.(the
wrong kind of fear is not of the positive character qualities to have in
life); if there be any virtue.(good
actions forthcoming
from what you may say).and
if there be any praise.(things
you can be thankful for and that contribute to happiness of self and of
others),
think
on these things.
Proverbs
4:7; 4:20-22.
Keep your mind
on the higher
consciousness things, because these keep you in the frequencies
of health and keep you aligned with the God of high consciousness.
The dark energy invisible ones actually feed off of anything in mind you
have that's negative. Stay
away. Then they go away.
If you think
high consciousness things,
you'll
talk and live high consciousness things and of course, the opposite
is also true. Example, a fraudulent
person suspects fraud in all he meets.
Philippians
4:9 Those things which you have both learned and received and heard
and seen in me, do and the God of peace is then with you.
Philippians
4:10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your
care of me has flourished again, wherein you were also careful.(original
for 'careful' is 'had it in mind', 'regarded'), but you lacked
opportunity.
Philippians
4:11 Not that I speak in respect of want,
for I have learned in whatsoever
state
I am, therewith
to be content.
Note
Paul
is saying that he's not speaking about any lack in his life. Paul knew.John
10:10. Paul was, in effect, saying 'I'm ok with myself no matter where
I am and what I may be doing'. Any present physical circumstances didn't
bother Paul:.Acts
21:13; Philippians 1:21.
Paul always had his eyes
on the prize and this became so ingrained
in his subconscious, that this was the real Paul, happy, enthusiastic,
forward looking, confidently being
and forever believing. He kept his mind on the
goal so much,
that it was automatic with him.
Philippians
4:12 I know both how to be abased and I know how to abound. Every where
and in all things I am instructed.(original
for word 'instructed' is 'feel deep inside about', meaning a trusting God
no
matter what).both to be
full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
Philippians
4:13 I can do all things through Christ.(what
is Christ?).who strengthens
me.
Trust
in God:.2Corinthians
3:4; Galatians 4:7; Ephesians
2:7; Philippians 4:7..(*)
Philippians
4:15 Now you Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the
gospel, when I departed from Macedonia,
no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but
you only.
Philippians
4:16 For even in Thessalonica you sent once and again unto my necessity.
Philippians 4:19 And God shall supply all your
need according to his riches in glory by Christ Emmanuel.
So,
keep growing spiritually. How?
Why?
Philippians
4:19 And God shall supply all your need.(drilling
down past the surface words the translators used here, the original for
word 'need' is 'to take for one's use' and how
is that done?).according to his
riches in glory.(in
glory
is in the realm
of it in a person,
the
invisible realm; and His riches is everything there is and could be;
unlimited
potential).by.(original
also 'in', 'through').Christ Emmanuel.(comprehend
what
Christ is).
Philippians
4:22 All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of Caesar's
household.

New Testament book is Colossians
