Why
does the Creator call
us perfect, when we know.(and
so do our friends and family, right! Ha ha!).that
we are far from being
perfect most if not all of the time?
Consider the
prostitute Rahab's example of being in
grace.
God
is in control of all and the evil is there for us to learn on this
stage called Earth, what's good and what isn't. If you are not busy
learning, then you are missing why you are
here, so you can see the next entertaining TV program.
It's not our perfection
that would ever count anyway. Look at the lesson in the book of Job:.Job
1:1 "There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job and that
man was perfect and upright and one that feared God and eschewed
evil. Job 1:8 And the Lord said unto Satan,
Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the
Earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that fears God and eschews
evil?.Job finally
came to realize that the perfection he was known for.(skim
the other chapters of the Book of Job to see this).was
nothing compared to God. Once he realized this, Job became very humble:.Job
42:1-6; 42:12.
I'm sure you would agree
that Job's life was as this:.1Peter
5:10 "But the God of all grace, who has called us unto his eternal
glory by Christ Emmanuel, after that you have suffered a while, bring you
into His perfection and stablish, strengthen, settle you." James
3:2 "For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word,
the same is a perfect man and able also to bridle the whole body."
Being perfect doesn't mean
perfecting oneself:.1John
4:16,17; Being a perfectionist
will rob your peace. Being a heartfelt
lover of life will accelerate.spiritualness.
2Corinthians
7:1 "Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse
ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting
holiness in the fear of God."
If we are alrady called perfect
by God, then what is this."perfecting
holiness".stuff
all about?
It's speaking of one's standing
with God once he or she is in Christ, even though each of us still have
many things to learn. Perfection is what the real true good God, our Father
in heaven, thinks of each one of us. And that because one follows Christ
who made us perfect:.1John
4:17. In Christ we rise up further in consciousness and thus character.
There are many levels of spiritualness,
because God's creation is infinite.
Earth time is just a springboard
onward when aligned with the principles of God:.Matthew
22:36-40.
Knowing that in Him
you are.perfect,
brings peace. Knowing that in Him, that is, in
Christ, you are perfect,
requires
faith.(what
is faith?). And how
do you know you are 'in God'?
It's His peace in you and
not your trying to get perfect that counts. One could never reach the state
of perfection God is in by working to be so.(*),
only by accepting that it is so. Job learned that. We need to as well.
Being
perfect comes from a shift in consciousness, a shift from negatives to
the positive truths. Being perfect means one emphasizes the nature
produced by high
consciousness living.
Christ's nature, which is
love, is imparted
to us, the more so that we think and act from high consciousness principles,
as this lets in the divine current,
as Bruno calls it. We are always thinking from something that triggers
thought. Thinking is not work. It's how we are made.
We were made ok by what Christ
did and kept ok by what's now being done:.Deuteronomy
32:4; Hebrews 13:21; 1Peter
5:10.
Once one has gone through
the alerts stage and is deemed
by God as being ready to
be awakened, he or she is on the road to monitoring
thoughts that may lead to actions not in line with the way of love's high
consciousness principles. How
do we do this?
Thoughts evoking
from the side of the ego of us need to be circumvented,
but sometimes, like the great apostle
Paul who referred to himself as the
chief of sinners, they just get the better of us, reigning for awhile
and this drains our confidence in God, instead of building our faith that
all dark side items have been looked after by Christ.
We like Paul and all other
humans will continue to have the tendencytoward
the ego and toward the dark side while on Earth in our fleshly form. It's
the interplay of life that enables character to be formed by choices made.
God made us this way. God
knows your heart for good and for evil too and tells us not to worry about
it:.Romans
9:20 "...O man, who are you that replies against God? Shall the thing
formed say to him that formed it, Why have you made me this way?" 1John
3:20,21 "For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart
and knows all things. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we
confidence toward God."
Romans
4:17 "...God,...calls those things which be not, as though they were."
2Chronicles
19:11 "...Deal courageously and the Lord shall be with the good.".Spiritual
support is for those who are examining themselves. How?
Having a heart to
move from that
which is causing humanitys problems in which
unwittingly, each of us
has contributed, comes from one with a heart for wholeness,
for oneness and for integrity.
Once on the road of perfection,
the Creator considers it done:.Romans
4:17 "...God, who quickens
the dead and calls those things which be not as though they were." Ephesians
4:13 "Till we all come in the unity of the faith.(oneness
of the faith is us being in the
family of the Creator:.John
17:21).and
of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure
of the stature of the fulness of Christ.".(we
are here to grow spiritually
and in that our problems begin
vanishing)
If the Creator is
pleased to dwell in you, how come you are not pleased with you?.Colossians
2:13 "And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your
flesh.(what
does this mean?), has he quickened
together with him, having forgiven you.all
trespasses."
Hebrews
10:10,14 "...we are sanctified through the offering of the body of
Emmanuel Christ once...For by one offering He has
perfected holiness
continually.for
all humanity.
Hebrews
13:21 "Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working
in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Emmanuel the
Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen."
2Corinthians
5:21 "For he has made him to be sin for us, he who knew no sin,
that we might be made the righteousness of
God in him."
Perfection has to do with
no longer having any conscience for sin and guilt.(Hebrews
10:1-3), that having been replaced
by the blood of Christ:.Ephesians
2:13; 1Peter 1:18,19. It's
done for you! And perfection has to do with having a relationship
with God.
Job, whom the Creator called
"a perfect man", went through severe
trials.
And perfection is sealed
in you if you love:.Colossians
3:14 "And above all these things put on charity.(word
'charity' means 'love' in the original),
which is the bond of perfectness.".You
are in a bond of perfectness once you have the Great Infinte One's nature
of love in you:.Ephesians
4:24
The Creator created this
thing called faith. The Creator's faith is given
to us by the structured invisible program melded with our
spirit, thus producing His Holy Nature
in us:.1John
3:24; Philippians 2:5. Faith
being one of God's attributes,
is exercised by Him in His relationships with
us. If you have
God's spirit, it is 'as good as done' as far as your perfection and God
are concerned:.Romans
4:17.
Chuck Smith: "What does
it mean to be perfect?" Let me ask you this: "What does it mean to be imperfect?"
I understand that much better. The root word of 'sin' means 'missing
the mark'. The root word of 'perfection' comes from 'hitting the mark'.
To be perfect means to absolutely hit the mark, to be exactly what the
Creator wants you to be.and
that is, like He is!:.Philippians
2:5,6."
And you get there by belief
in Him by simply accepting Him., which means
to accept His nature of love as a standard for all your thoughts and actions.
Psalms
37:37.
