Romans 9:4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertains.(word 'pertains' not in original, but inserted by translators to make the meaning clearer).the adoption and the glory and the covenants and the giving of the law and the service of God and the promises.

Romans 9:5 Whose are the fathers of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.

Romans 9:6,7 Not as though the word of God has taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel...Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham are they all children. But, In Isaac.(promises).shall your seed be called.

Paul was introducing the fact that the Gentiles, those not of the lineage of ancient Israel were just as important in God's eyes. And why?

Romans 9:8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God. But the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

Romans 9:8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh.(Abraham's physical descendants; children of the flesh are those without hope.{Ephesians 2:12}.of anything better than existing at the ego level; the promises are for those who are growing spiritually; how does one grow spiritually?), these are not the children of God.(the Creator is not concerned with fleshly things, such as the lineage of people, but the things of the spirit). But the children.(those concerned with the things of higher consciousness as ancient Isaac was:.Galatians 4:28,29).of the promise.(the promise made to Abraham and what was that?.Genesis 18:18 "...all the nations.{Galatians 4:26}.of the Earth shall be blessed.{all to be blessed}.in him?").are counted for the seed.

Basically it's saying that just because you've descended from the physical bloodline of those ancients of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and those of the Mosaic Law, that it doesn't mean you have any special favor because of that. The."children of the promise".are those of faith and open to all.

Romans 9:9 For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come and Sara shall have a son.(Genesis 17:15-21).

Romans 9:10 And not only this, but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac;

Romans 9:11 For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calls.(who is the."him that calls"?).

And when were you elected to be in God's family?

Romans 9:12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.

Romans 9:13 As it is written.(Malachi 1:2,3), Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

Romans 9:16 So then it is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy.

God had a long term plan involving today the descendants of Esau and his brother Jacob.

Romans 9:17 For the scripture says unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised you up, that I might show my power on you and that my name might be declared throughout all the Earth.

This scripture is saying that it's God who is in control of all and for His purposes. God wants the whole world to know about him:.Joshua 4:24. God is doing the same today through the present day posterity of Jacob and his brother Esau.

The horribly corrupt Deep State, the tool of the very evil dark side demons, which ruled humanity since the days of Cain (Genesis 4:7,8) and which became worse as time marched on to the days of Emmanuel being on the Earth, because the evil side was always out to influence and destroy anything that be of Creator-Father-God. But God beat them to it with the births of Esau and his brother Jacob. 

Evil accelerated as fast as it did, from the days of Cain through the severe period around 800 years ago, around 1231, but has now been eradicated (still around a bit but fizzling out fast) and now God's name, which is what God is, is being declared throughout the world, bringing good to all who are not evil in heart to the point of totally rejecting God. If one thinks he or she may be evil, then you know that you have a conscience and can discern both good and evil, staying on the regular side of good and bad, but eschewing evil:.1Peter 3:11. How?.1John 3:20,21.

Romans 9:18 Therefore has he mercy on whom he will have mercy and whom he will he hardens.

Like what happened to Pharaoh's attitude. On who does God have mercy?.Isaiah 66:2. And why then a set up regarding Esau, the evil one and Jacob his brother, the good one? God does what He wants, when He wants and it's always the best for all concerned for all time. You know God is only good. Trust God. That's faith.

Romans 9:19 You will say then unto me, Why does he yet find fault? For who has resisted his will?

People ask, if God's in charge of it all, which God is, why then does He find fault if He actually does control all? Many have and do resist God. How? But ultimately all will be saved one way or the other. God is in control.

Romans 9:20 Nay, but, O man, who are you that replies against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why have you made me as I am?

God is the master potter and like it or not, we're the clay in God's hands:.Isaiah 64:8. It's a question akin to what Lucifer must have asked, which maybe was 'why did you make me perfect and with free will to leave you or not?

About the greatness of God.

Romans 9:21 Has not the potter power over the clay.(God does what He wishes, but His mind can also be changed), of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour and another unto dishonour?

Speaking of some being called (awakened) now and some being called later and leading up in this talk to the Romans here in the church Paul had set up, telling them that it's now the time for the Gentiles (verses 24,25) to be in the Creator's plan of salvation. Romans 9:22 What if God, willing to show his wrath and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction.

God is patient in awaiting change of heart in people:.2Peter 3:9; 2Corinthians 2:16; 2Chronicles 30:7-9.

How did God make this known to us? Through Christ:.2Timothy 1:9. It is through Christ that the Father's mercy rests on us permanently.(*). What God gives you He never removes from you. Only you could do that, as you always have free choice. But why would one ever want to make that choice, unless they were non thinking dolts:.John 10:10; Deuteronomy 28:9-13.

Romans 9:24 Even us.(referring to this Roman church to whom he was speaking here), whom he has called, not from the tribe of Judahthose Jews only.(who were those Jews only?), but also of the Gentiles?

Romans 9:25 As he said also in Osee.(Hosea in Hosea 2:23), I will call them my people, which were not my people.(the ancient Israelites were the people of note throughout the Old Testament).and her beloved, which was not beloved.

Romans 9:26 And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, You are not my people, there shall they be called the children of the living God.

Romans 9:27 Esaias.(Isaiah in Isaiah 10:20-22).also cries concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved.

Romans 9:28 For he will finish the work and cut it short in.righteousness. A short work will the Lord make upon the Earth.

Romans 9:28 For he will finish.(original for word 'finish' here is 'to completely end', to indeed finish).the work.(original is 'word', 'discourse', 'what is declared' and what was declared was the good news to man which was this).and cut it short in.(original just as easily can mean, 'by' or 'with').righteousness.(man wouldn't have to go through a life of a lot of do's and don'ts anymore, as they had to in Old Testament times under the now abolished Mosaic Law, because the righteousness of Christ would be imputed to them as a gift:.Romans 4:22-25; this makes it a short work by a few words and the few words are, that man was saved before he came on the Earth {2Timothy 1:9}, but the time here was needed so he could learn some things). A short work.('word', etc.).will the Lord make upon the Earth.

Romans 9:29 And as Esaias said before, Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed, we had been as Sodom and Gomorrha.

Romans 9:29 And as Esaias.(Greek language word for the Hebrew/Aramaic word 'Isaiah').said before.(Isaiah 1:9), Except the Lord of Sabaoth.(word 'Sabaoth' means 'hosts', so, 'Lord of Hosts').had left us a seed.(a remnant of all those that had gone into captivity were left alive to start over:.Ezra 9:7,8 ), we had been as Sodom and Gomorrha.

That is, we are worthless for any eternal purpose unless we progress spiritually from the selfish ego content we have as humansand this just is not possible from a life of ordinary consciousness, why?

Romans 9:30 What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.

Romans 9:31 But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, has not attained to the law of righteousness.

Romans 9:31 But Israel.(here speaking of ancient physical Israel; the 'Israel' today is an 'Israel' of the heart and beyond physicality), which followed after the law of righteousness.(speaking of the Mosaic Law in effect at that time way back when), has not attained to the law of righteousness.
They just couldn't reach up to it; why?

Romans 9:32.Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone.

Romans 9:32.Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith.(this shows how much greater is faith than works), but as it were by the works of the law.(the people back then in the time of Christ on Earth in the form of a man they called Emmanuel, were punctiliously led by their blind religious leaders {Matthew 15:14}, most of whom back then, were corrupting the now done away Old Testament Mosaic Law; it was so corrupted, it had to be wiped out forever. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone.

They had no faith and to be just, to be righteous, one needs to live by faith, very different from works:.Habakkuk 2:4; Romans 1:17; Galatians 3:11; Hebrews 10:38.

Same today. You learn things that could help you, but unless you believe, unless you are mentally alive to them producing as you imagined, unless you are sure of the good being there for you, it never will. How can one be sure of these things?

There are laws which are made to regulate you physically, such as what this Mosaic Law turned out to be and there are laws of the mind you can learn about, which free you. The New Testament is key to the spiritual meanings scattered throughout all the Bible.

It says 'they sought it not by faith but as it were by the works of the law', that is, they had to do in that society back then, these physical things that were for a physically minded people, because they couldn't see the spiritual in anything due to their selfishness:.Deuteronomy 5:29. They wanted to be blessed (Deuteronomy 28:1-14) and not suffer consequences of not following that Mosaic Law.(Deuteronomy 28:15-68), but they just couldn't bring themselves to do it. They just didn't want to, but who would?.The Mosaic Law was onerous with its over 600 things to know to keep one's life in line. Gimmee a break! 600+ rules and regulations? Is it that bad today? Worse! You just don't know all the laws today that society has to regulate you. It was all automatic back then. Follow the Mosaic Law and be blessed. Don't follow it and then you get in life what you don't want. It's like the laws of mind work today. They too are automatic.

Up until the time of Emmanuel being on Earth, dying and being resurrected, the Mosaic Law was in effect, though it was totally corrupted by then and that started to occur immediately after God gave it to the people through Moses.

So, the people said, it's too hard, even though we agreed to it:.Exodus 24:3. So, we'll live our own way without this burden weighing us down. Goodby God!.Jeremiah 44:16,17. 

Was it a mistake by God to institute this Mosaic Law? No. There's a reason why it was needed. It showed something greater was desperately needed than rules and regulations to keep people in alignment with God:.Hebrews 7:19. God always wanted a relationship of the heart with humanity and not a doing of rules one had to follow to avoid consequences. But man had to write this history lesson so today we can learn from it:.1Corinthians 10:11. An outcrop of this lack of a relationship with God is what we have in society today.

Romans 9:33 As it is written.(written in Isaiah 8:14; 28:16); Psalms 118:22,23; 1Peter 2:6), Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence and whosoever believes on him shall not be ashamed.
