Old covenant
(means 'agreement')
was in Old Testament times

(Exodus 20:1-17 and Deuteronomy 5:6-22 list the commandments)

(the Old Testament shows the bestial, carnal, very low consciousness nature of people; the marks of the ego, mostly by the mankind ones); things didn't work out as probably could have in the Old Testament so the better era of the New Testament was designed to replace it:.Hebrews 8:7; 9:9.

New covenant
(means 'agreement')
is in New Testament times.(current)
.
(the New Testament shows the spiritual nature in man as he lives in society amongst those still with the bestial, carnal nature of the ego)
.
Together the Old Testament and the New show us the shift in consciousness
We all learn by contrasts. The Creator designed contrast into His plan as can be seen blow in comparing the old
and the new covenants.
The old covenant.(contained within the Old Testament part of the Holy Bible).involved physical blessings for physical obedience:.Leviticus 26:3-7

In the Old Testament the Creator spoke it in their ears way back when.(Deuteronomy 5:1).as it could not come into them and through to their heart.(Deuteronomy 5:29; Ezekiel 18:31,32; Hosea 7:14-16).and.(?).

The heart of those in the Old Testament was not what it could be in New Testament times.

The Creator can change one's heart, but usually never overrides one's heart unless there is a greater reason to do so, as there was in the life of ancient King Saul of the Old Testament.(1Samuel 10:6,9; 12:6).and Paul in the New Testament. Apart from that God gave us free choice, unless we were created to be in the category of those to be of evil, such as was the blood line of Esau and this was part of the great plan of God now playing out on this stage called Earth. Those of the cabal have come out of this bloodline and have hidden their history from us, submerging themselves among others in order to remain undetectable. They have now been detected. The cabal has also hidden truths of so many other things, such as the full Bible and the way to health.

God could have made each of us perfect as He did the angels at the beginning.(Ezekiel 28:14,15), but all beings have the freedom to be curious and inventive.(Ecclesiastes 7:29), having freedom to learn and choose and some angels.chose to leave God. If God had made humanity perfect, the opportunity to excel in character would not have been there, nor would the opportunity for a particular reward for each of us. Humanity would have lacked the opportunity to gain a solid eternal reward. So, humanity, though created good, came with a low consciousness nature which begins to evidence itself about the age of 2-3. This is so we would learn what produces ultimate good, as opposed to the selfish temporary things we may think are good for us:.Proverbs 14:12. And in this, parents play the major part when a child is young.

In Old Testament times, those of humanity had strong reasons to remain close to God, as good people had many enemies, including the thinking of those around them:.Jeremiah 44:16,17.

Some of these evil ones were of mankind genetics to a greater or lesser degree.

Though the people of humanity back then agreed to the terms.(*).of this old covenant.(a covenant is an agreement), there was a problem; they just didn't have the heart to change which would lead them to believe:.Psalms 81:11-13. And this because the overall plan of God wasn't ready for them. But for those having the gift of belief, it was a different story.  Believing in the true and only God of all creation is important in being aligned with God, necessary to have an ongoing good life:.John 10:10. So those not having an affinity for God were no better off than the mankind ones.

One lesson that came out of the Old Testament Mosaic Law is that one can't seek to be righteous by works of the law:.Romans 9:31,32..To have the heart to believe, one must want his being to have the attitude of sincere intent to change from the old low consciousness ways to the higher consciousness ways of God:.Matthew 21:32; 2Chronicles 6:14.

Unlike those of old.(Psalms 53:1-4), Creator-God wants people who delight in Him, in His ever so good ways:.Psalms 1; Jeremiah 6:10; 9:24. But people need to be intelligent enough find these things out for themselves, intelligent enought to see the ways of life and to select the way that's best for all humanity, including himself.

Some people may come to be at a point of change quickly. Others may take awhile longer, putting themselves through more heartaches of life to arrive there. Yet others arrive at change for selfish reasons and if under pressure to do so, later revert, as Pharoah's example shows us and yet, it's all the Creator's work in letting people know that they can trust Him. In Pharaoh's case the Creator constantly hardened.(*).his heart. Pharaoh became more obstinate, requiring many negatives before he recanted, but he was deceitful in it all allowing insincerity by reverting to his usual self:.Exodus 4:21; 5:1,2; 7:3,5; 11:10; 12:29-33; 14:5-7,29-31.

If an individual lacks an open mind, he's stuck in the ego realm.until someone prays for him or her.and he or she then begins to have a concern for other than self and this will lead to developing an intent in them to help others in some way. Because they, way back when, lacked this attitude of concern for other than self, they were devoid of belief, which is an attribute of love. So hampered were they in life, they couldn't even wisely regulate themselves:.Romans 13:10. So the Creator, after letting them live by experience for awhile, had to even give them the heart that would lead them to believe. Shows how inept we are without our Maker being part of each of us. That's why we're here.

The Old Testament laws were added because the people could not manage themselves and looked only to themselves.(wanted to be left alone with their low consciousness ego way of relating to life:.Jeremiah 44:16,17).with an eye to religion on the side, much as people do today; live selfishly all week and sop it with a little spirituality occasionally.

So the Old Testament rules were needed to regulate physical life because the people were far from spiritual in their hearts:.Galatians 3:19. It was soon found out that one can't write on the heart what was written on stone. It's not any different today. As a whole, we in society have progressed in many areas but not spiritually. But there is a way to fix it that you can do.

The new covenant.(basically contained within the New Testament part of the.Holy Bible).is a better covenant with better promises. The drastic difference between the Creator described in the Old Testament part of the Bible, compared with His description in the New Testament part, shows that what we call God, is an energy that is used according to attitude; our attitude. In the New Testament one's mind is opened by God toward a higher consciousness attitude: 1Corinthians 1:9.

In the New Testament it was different and better.(Romans 8:2,4,5), as predicted in the Old Testament that it would be:.Ezekiel 11:19; Jeremiah 24:7; 32:39.

The new covenant was ratified in Christ. It involved the heart.(*), the spirit, with things before unavailable:.1John 2:20,27: Hebrews 8:7-10 "For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. For finding fault with them.(Deuteronomy 5:29), he said: Behold, the days come, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant.(the Creator saw that the old covenant did no good for the people, so He changed things:.Jeremiah 31:31-33).with the house of Israel.(the house of Israel today is a spiritual house, comprised of those with the higher consciousness of love).and with the house of Judah.(Judah was a part of ancient physical Israel, but basically had their own land as they too were large in numbers), not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant.(the old covenant was an external thing based upon one's performance, the people's righteousness:.Deuteronomy 6:25; the new is based upon Christ's performance, not ours. There was no peace with God {always a fault to be found} for one under this old covenant).and I regarded them not, says the Lord. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel.after those days, says the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind and write them in their hearts and I will be to them a God and they shall be to me a people." Hebrews 10:16 "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts and in their minds will I write them." Jeremiah 24:7 "And I will give them an heart to know me.(in old covenant times the words never reached the heart, except for a few the Creator worked especially with; God in wisdom, of course knew this as it was all part of a great plan {Ephesians 4:13} on this world stage, a plan first showing for history how man would become without God in his heart, thus, showing need for this), that I am the Lord and they shall be my people and I will be their God, for they shall return unto me with their whole heart."

In Old Testament times the Creator beat us for disobedience: Leviticus 26:18 "And if you will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins." The new covenant involved Emmanuel being beaten so we would never have to be.
In Old Testament times God used one nation to beat out of existence its enemies: Exodus 23:22-24; Numbers 21:3; Deuteronomy 2:34; 1Samuel 15:2,3 In New Testament times we are to love our enemies. It's a time of a new consciousness.
In Old Testament times, God wanted the people to choose Him:.Deuteronomy 5:29; 1Corinthians 10:5. In New Testament times, God chooses.
In the Old Testament the Creator communicated with the ancient people by means of a physical temple. Now its a thing of the spirit in us.
Commandment #1:
God had to tell them not to have any other Gods:.Deuteronomy 5:7; Exodus 20:3. They had a tendency to want to align themselves with many 'Gods', some external idol(s) they appreciated, which gave them comfort.
No problem with the wrong God in times of the new covenant. God has aligned with those He has now called and keeps them stable.(Hebrews 8:10).because He says He'll never leave us:.Hebrews 13:5; Matthew 28:20.
Problem here in New Testament times is in the wrong message about Him.
Commandment #2:
They had a tendency to drift from God and want to make things that they could see, feel and touch, as reminders of the Gods they believed were behind such man made creations:.Deuteronomy 5:8-10; Exodus 20:4-6.
In the new covenant, Christ will keep us stable.(2Thessalonians 3:3; Jude 1:24).as we follow the guidance from the Holy Spirit inside us. No need to be cautioned about working on things that represent God, as in the old covenant. We are worked on by God.(Ephesians 2:10; Hebrews 2:10).in the new covenant. We make contact with God through, prayer, study of God's word, meditation.(thinking about the spiritual things we have gained and wish to gain), and using opportunities for His Spirit of love to flow from us in doing good unto others.
Commandment #3:
They were not to take God's name in vain.(as though God was not a reality in their life and something to be taken lightly). God would hold this guilt against them:.Deuteronomy 5:11; Exodus 20:7.
No guilt for those under the new covenant.
Commandment #4:
They were to remember the Sabbath Day, a day of rest and to keep it holy; a day to rest, knowing that it was God who caused this:.Deuteronomy 5:12-15; Exodus 20:8-11.
A different story here.
...the rest of the commandments which follow can be compared to what love does when the Holy Spirit flows through a person in good works toward others; it fulfils all law completely.
