1John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that you sin not.(get out of the low consciousness that has produced the hurts in your life, how has it done this?). And if any man sin.(wants to get out of it, but struggles to, as Paul did:.Romans 7:8-25), we have an advocate with the Father, Emmanuel the Christ, the righteous.
John here adds at the end of the verse 'the righteous' because it's Christ's righteousness that covers one's unrighteousness.

How is the Christ the advocate who is with the Father?

Why is Christ an advocate?.Hebrews 6:15,16.

1John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins. And not for ours only, but also for the sins of the.('the sins of the' not in original).whole.(original is 'all').world.(original 'cosmos').
John 3:16,17.
1John 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him.(means we have a relationship with), if we keep his commandments.
What commandments? Notice it says 'His' commandments; these were not the commandments that Emmanuel said to keep when He physically walked this Earth and this lack of comprehension has caused confusion amongst Christians.
1John 2:4 He that says, I know him and keeps not his commandments, is a liar.(John 8:44).and the truth is not in him.
Ephesians 4:21 "If so be that you have heard him and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Christ."
1John 2:5 But whoso keeps his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected. Hereby know we that we are in him.
1John 2:5 But whoso keeps.(original for 'keeps' implies a 'being aware' of every thought; a guarding of your thoughts and actions so as to keep yourself in the way of love) his word.(what word?), in him verily is the love of God perfected.(tense of Greek is 'being perfected'; love is a life journey that needs the circumstances of living to provide opportunity for its expression; get and stay on the correct pathway:.Hebrews 2:10; 1Peter 5:7). Hereby know we that we are in him..1John 4:17,18.
1John 2:6 He that says he abides in him ought himself also to walk, even as he walked.

1John 2:7 Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which you had from the beginning.

1John 2:8 Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you because when the darkness is past the true light shines.
You can see how it is that you are by what you do.
1John 2:9 He that says he is in the light and hates his brother.(takes selfish advantage of him; regards him as just someone to use for one's own purposes), is in darkness even until now.

1John 2:10 He that loves his brother abides in the light and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.
Romans 13:10.
1John 2:11 But he that hates.(original is 'loves less by comparison':.Matthew 22:39,40; Philippians 2:3).his brother is in darkness and walks in darkness and knows not whither he goes, because that darkness.(selfishness is being in darkness and love is being in the light).has blinded his eyes.(*).
That is, his mind is so programmed by his attitude, that he misses the reason why he's here and so, carries on his life toward destruction of himself and others he may affect.

Verses 12-14 are about growing spiritually, that is, different degrees of spirituality.

1John 2:12 I write unto you,.little children.(*), because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.("neme's sake" means 'through or because of what His name connotes; note, sins.are already forgiven.you  {2Timothy 1:9} because of all Christ, but they were still learning this; what's His name mean?).
Those newly out of the ordinary consciousness world.(Revelation 18:4).have awakened and are eager to grow in the new world of the Soul and to absorb the higher consciousness truths from it and by doing so, move away from the low consciousness side we all came here with and into maturity (Luke 8:18; 2Peter 3:18) and reward.

Concentrated spiritual growth requires quiet time..Is it worth it?.1Corinthians 2:9. When you consider the things of spirituality, the physical concerns lose their significance:.Matthew 6:33; 16:26; James 4:14.

1John 2:13 I write unto you,.fathers.(spiritually mature), because you have known him that is from the beginning.(these have moved up in knowledge from verse 12 above, where their knowing was that of their state of forgiveness:.Hebrews 6:1). I write unto you,.young men, because you have overcome the wicked one.(original for 'wicked one' is simply 'evil', but can refer to the head of the dark side {Matthew 13:19} and a condition of evil in one's life; John here addressed this to young men, because their verve for living often doesn't take into consideration consequences of actions). I have written unto you,.little children, because you have known the Father.
Barnes Notes on 'young men': they had triumphed over the passions which prevail in early life and have combated the allurements of vice, ambition, covetousness and sensuality, showing strength of character and of belief in the true God of all creation on which reliance can be placed.

John again in this verse addresses little children by adding to what he just said in verse 12 above, about telling them that when you realized your sins are forgiven, you also realized who it was that forgave them and in this knowing, you were connecting yourself to the real Father of all.

1John 2:14 I have written unto you,.fathers.(*), because you have known him that is from the beginning.(here John doesn't have to bring to mind something that was beginning in the 'little childrens' lives, but in appreciation, reminds the spiritually mature fathers of their having known for some time God who is from the beginning). I have written unto you,.young men, because you are strong and the word of God abides in you and you have overcome the wicked one.
John here reiterates what he said in verse 13 and adds his thoughts on it, them being, that the reason he wrote what he did was because they are strong in the word of God, which is the knowledge of God and because of that are able to handle what's necessary to carry on as they are. It was both a reminder and a salutation to them, bringing to their minds how it was they were able to remain strong and away from the ego life)..(?)
1John 2:15 Love not the world.(love it not in such a way as you walk part and parcel with it, but rather an example to it:.1Peter 2:21), neither the things that are in the world.(why? next 2 verses). If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him..(?)

1John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust.(original is 'desires').of the flesh.(just gotta have that new convertible with a noisy.muffler).and the lust of the eyes.(the things you see, you often come to want them).and the pride of life.(I'd feel much better about myself if I had ...).is not of the Father but is of the world..(?)

1John 2:17 And the world passes away and the lust thereof.(Matthew 6:19,20).but he that does the will of God abides for ever.

1John 2:18 Little children it is the last time. And as you have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists.(where are they? and how can we test them to see if they are of the true God {good angels or not}:.1John 4:1-6), whereby we know that it is the last time.(2Timothy 3:1-8).

1John 2:19 They went out from us, but they were not of us.(humanity vs mankind), for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us. But they went out and thus it became manifest that they were all not of us.

1John 2:20 But you have an unction from the Holy One and you know all things..
1John 2:20 But you have an unction.(means 'a part', a soothing part of, that is, you are a part of us, the humanity group; an unction {an ointment} is anything smeared on; an unguent; usually prepared by the Hebrews from oil and aromatic herbs; anointing was the inaugural ceremony for the ancient.priests).from the Holy One.(you have been touched by the Infinite One).and you know all things.(because you are connected to the true God of all good, you have wisdom to see which life direction will take you where and you just sort of know what and who to get involved in and what and who to avoid being included in {*}).

Because you are connected to the intelligent energy of which is all things and, you can only connect if you are of a loving heart.

Get good at love and problems evaporate and your body then is on the pathway.(Philippians 1:19).that is changing the physical you into pure spirit.(*). It'll still be a bit of a climb for whomever takes that pathway:.1Peter 1:7; 5:10. Once changed into pure spirit we are able to exist within all dimensions of the quantum field, which is everything, just as Emmanuel was able to.(John 7:28,29,33,34,37-39; 1Corinthinans 13:12).for we are then equal.(?).with Him. Some call this the 'Christ consciousness'. Now it's everybody's turn. Learn about it from the documentary movie. The Grand Self.

Comprehending the word 'all'.

1John 2:21 I have not written unto you because you know not the truth, but because you know it and that no lie is of the truth.

1John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denies that Emmanuel is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denies the Father and the Son.
Matthew 25:35-40.
1John 2:23 Whosoever denies the Son, the same has not the Father. But he that acknowledges.(original 'has a rapport with').the Son has the Father also.(*).

1John 2:24 Let that therefore abide in you which you have heard from the beginning.(John 1:1,3,14; Hebrews 11:3; 1John 3:11). If that which you have heard from the beginning shall remain in you.(that we are all one when of the same consciousness, the same high quality thinking of God:.1John 4:7-16), you also shall continue in the Son and in the Father.
One always has free choice, but what if you choose the good path, but have apprehension over being able to stay on that path?

Also know that God is in Christ and Christ is in God and us.

1John 2:25 And this is the promise that he has promised us, even eternal life.

1John 2:26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.

1John 2:27 But the anointing which you have received of him abides in you and you need not that any man.(original for word 'man' is 'certain people' or 'any individul{s}').teach you. But as the same anointing teaches you of all things and is truth and is no lie and even as it has taught you, you shall abide in him.(original for word 'him' here is also translated 'it').
Original is not 'him', but 'it' and is more correct, meaning the energy expression of the Creator (all is energy) through you of what we now know is the same as the quantum field. What the Bible calls the Holy Spirit abides in what you are. You will abide there (Hebrews 13:5) if you avoid letting yourself be swept aside elsewhere:.2John 1:7-10.

The verse doesn't mean not to learn from others. It means to be aware of where God is working:.Deuteronomy 18:18. God does work through others:.Matthew 7:16. The verse is saying that the things of God are evident through intuition and that's a gift by means of God's presence with and within you.(*), called the Holy Spirit.

1John 2:28 And now little children abide in him that when he shall appear we may have confidence and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
1John 2:28 And now little children abide in him.(about abiding in Christ) that when.(original can also mean 'whenever', 'while', 'as long as').he shall appear.(original is 'manifest', so could read 'as long as he is appearing' and how long would that be?).we may have confidence and not be ashamed before.(original means 'to not have a feeling of separation').him at his coming.

Original for 'coming' also means 'presence' and when are we in His presence?

1John 2:29 If you know that he is righteous you know that every one that does righteousness is born of him.
1John 2:29 If you know that he is righteous you know that every one that does.(or 'brings forth' or 'makes', as the original also means).righteousness.(so, how does one 'bring forth', 'do' or 'make' righteousness? 1, 2, 3, 4).is born of him.(that is, has the same nature).
