-Did Emmanuel really want us to sell all we have, give it to the poor and have nothing, as He said in Luke 12:33, 14:33, Matthew 19:21 and Mark 10:21?

-What is Hebrews 13:13 saying?

We."bear His reproach".by being an example. How?.1Peter 2:21-23. It is telling us to be involved with one another to comfort and be of help:.verse 16. It's saying to be of the same gentle mind as He:.Isaiah 42:3 "A bruised reed shall he not break and the smoking flax shall he not quench..."

-Why is it so many are so discontent; discontent with partners, discontent with decisions, discontent with so many things?

Many are discontent because they are frustrated while still searching for what? Problem is, they are not sure what they should be looking for. They just know they need to be searching.

They know they are sensing lack of fulfilment, yet don't understand why, want to know why, are impatient in finding an answer to their present situation. So they press on with their lives, looking for clues, trying to create some order, yet much of the time feeling unsure and insecure regarding their present position. It all can be so confusing and frustrating:.Psalms 71:1.

What should they do apart from trusting in God?

If it's an education issue, when lacking a knowledge base that one can have confidence in, then, one usually has to try this and try that, to see what works, ever searching for just the right combination so life will go well.

This trial and error method wastes time and produces heartaches. Witness the large number of broken hearts from failed relationships, business deals, etc.

One without a firm set of beliefs based on the truth of the Infinite One.(the truth of the inexorable universal laws), will find himself or herself hurled into the confusion and despair that typifies many persons' life paths.

A deeper contentment than that which comes from, just learning some things from life, comes from being sure of one's state with the Infinite, which means to be in alignment with the laws that will bring you all that's good that you want.

Enjoying a daily relationship with Him. Take time for the dark and quiet alone.

When one's life is based on faith, and lived with the faith of Emmanuel the Christ, life becomes exhilarating, the more our minds move from the negatiive ways to the life giving ways of God. This brings guidance and wisdom leading toward a better and protected life here and now.

Matthew talks of discontentment culminating in tribulation at the end of the age being such as was not since the beginning of man.

-How can I help someone who has mental illness?

Apart from those under severe depressive states, those who may be arrogant, dismissive of others, those hurting others and themselves, are mentally ill. The way out of this begins with a decision to be different, a decision to become caring, concerned for others, charitable and humble, and then taking action to become that way in all your dealings with others. Know that you indeed have something that can help another and have a strong desire to use it:.2Timothy 1:7; Proverbs 2:7 "He lays up sound wisdom for the righteous. He is a buckler to them that walk uprightly" Proverbs 14:30 "A sound heart is the life of the flesh....." Ecclesiastes 1:13,14,17 "And I gave my heart to seek and search out by wisdom concerning all things that are done under heaven. This sore travail hath God given to the sons of man to be exercised therewith. I have seen all the works that are done under the sun and, behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit...And I gave my heart to know wisdom, and to know madness and folly. I perceived that this also is vexation of spirit" Ecclesiastes 2:17,23,24,26 "Therefore I hated life because the work that is wrought under the sun is grievous unto me. For all is vanity and vexation of spirit...For all his days are sorrows, and his travail grief. Yea, his heart taketh not rest in the night. This is also vanity. There is nothing better for a man, than that he should eat and drink, and that he should make his soul enjoy good in his labour. This also I saw, that it was from the hand of God...For God giveth to a man that is good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge and joy." Ecclesiastes 4:6 "Better is an handful with quietness, than both the hands full with travail and vexation of spirit."

Ecclesiastes 12:13 "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments.(or, 'His instruction' so that we can have a proper relationship with Him and each other).for this is the whole duty of man.(original is."for this is the whole man")."

-Who are "the brethren"? 3John 1:5

Mark 3:32-35 "And the multitude sat about Him and they said unto him, Behold, your mother and your brethren without seek for you. And He answered them, saying, Who is My mother, or my brethren? And He looked round about on.them which sat about Him.and said, Behold My mother and My brethren! For whosoever shall do.(and/or be of the attitude to do).the will of God, the same is My brother and My sister and mother."

Those hungering for God, for spiritual answers to implement in life, are brethren, whether in a church or not. And what about your neighbour?

a point on which the Soul may fix its intellectual eye."
