Compassion is a part of what the Creator is:.Matthew 7:21.

Compassion is great care and concern, a desire to help and alleviate suffering, hardship and injustice:.Luke 10:31-17. Compassion is awareness of the suffering of another coupled with the wish and action to relieve it.

"Compassion is the sharing of suffering. One can help others by listening to them, helping them in some way, spending some time with them. With compassion there is the birth of love again and where there is love there is healing. Have an intention that you could help them. Appreciate the good things in them." ...Deepak Chopra.

Avoid being like the corrupt Pharisees:.Matthew 23:3 "All therefore whatsoever they bid you to observe, that observe and do, but do not you after their works, for they say and do not."

Creator-Father-God encourages us to care for others:.Zechariah 7:9,10 "Thus speaks the God of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment and show mercy and compassions every man to his brother. And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart."

Proverbs 21:13 "Whoso stops his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard." Luke 11:41 "...give alms of such things as you have and behold, all things are clean unto you."

"Compassion is living a life infused with concern for the suffering of all others."....Dr. Robert Thurman, Jey Tsong Khapa Professor or Indo-Tibetan.(India-Tibetan).Buddhist Studies, Chair of the Religion Department of Columbia University and former President of Tibet House, an organization dedicated to the preservation of Tibetan culture.

The Infinite One is kind:.Luke 6:35 "...he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil." Malachi 2:10 "Have we not all one father? Has not one God created us? Why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant.(agreement).of our fathers?"

It is doubtful whether one can be good without being good for something! Those having emotional anesthesia are obverse to others needing help.

Compassion is kindness enlarged upon. It is selflessness, the opposite of the ego's concerns. Compassion can only come from a soul at peace. Ever see compassion and anger side by side? Ever see peace and hate simultaneously? When you are good you have good thoughts. When you are not, you have thoughts of evil.

The greatest of all the arts is the art of losing ourselves in the service of others! Closest to that is cooking! But just because of our natural human nature, our egos, we end up concentrating on the me of us, rather than the we of us.

Grab a cup of organic coffee.(organic Costa Rican is my favorite).or bancha tea, to sit down with this subject of compassion. It will take a while; about three hours+ or about the time it would take you to see a long movie. And this will do more for your life here on out if you look up the scriptures and follow the links. It is an important subject about one way to a better life from now on. Here you learn about compassion, one of the high consciousness ways of being, a way which can remove you from being stuck at the low consciousness ego level.

If Christ.(what does 'Christ' mean? it's not what you may think; not totally anyhow).is in us, He will be prompting us to do good works because the nature of high consciousness is moving energy:.Ephesians 2:10 "For we are his workmanship.(if the nature of Christ your nature, you'll be doing - something good), created in Christ Emmanuel unto good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them.".Why?
1Peter 2:9 "But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people.(people of God), that you should show forth the praises.(or virtues, one being compassion).of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light."

Jude 1:21,22 "Keep yourselves in the love of God.....And have compassion, making a difference."

1Peter 1:5 "Finally, be you all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful.(tenderhearted), be courteous."

Galatians 6:2,10 "Bear you one another's burdens and so fulfil the law of Christ...As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith."

Compassion makes a difference in keeping oneself in the love of the Creator:.Jude 1:21,22. If we all did things only for money, how would another feel your true love for them?.Romans 15:3 "For even Christ pleased not himself..."

A spiritual person's.(Christian's).creed.(a brief statement of belief).by Trinity Aldous:."I will stand for you. I will fight for you. I will carry this. You rest!"

But, many believing themselves to be spiritual persons and many of these, though called by the name Christian, do disservice to the name, possessing a different creed as it were, as evidenced by their actions: That of 'I will ensure my life is secure and increasingly so. You can work, go on welfare, or I can use one of many other excuses I have which prevent me from involving myself in the helping of others; because I say by my actions that I really do not believe that what I do or do not do has any effect whatsoever on my life, as I have instead chosen to believe that once I have decided to become a spiritual person, my reward is secure'. ...big time wrong!

And do you think that we really do go to heaven? A big lesson of life we are here to learn is this.

Caring in kindness for others is mercy. The classic story of compassion is about caring and being kind to others:
Luke 10:29-37 ".....And who is my neighbour? And Emmanuel answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho and fell among thieves which stripped him of his raiment.(clothing).and wounded him and departed leaving him half dead. And by chance there came down a certain priest that way. And when he saw him he passed by on the other side. And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place came and looked on him and passed by on the other side. But a certain Samaritan as he journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw him he had compassion on him and went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine and set him on his own beast and brought him to an inn and took care of him. And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence and gave them to the host.(owner of the inn).and said unto him, Take care of him and whatsoever you spend more, when I come again, I will repay you. Which now of these three do you think was neighbour.(original Greek for 'neighbour' is 'to want to be close because one cares'; a neighbour is one interested in rapport).unto him that fell among the thieves? And he said, He that showed mercy on him. Then said Emmanuel unto him Go and do likewise.".How? Make a decision to care. You go nowhere without direction; direction requires decision.

It was the Samaritan that had sympathetic love towards this less fortunate individual. He was interested in and willing to care for another whom he had never before met:.John 13:35 "By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one to another." 1John 3:10 "In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil. Whosoever does not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loves not his brother." 1John 4:7 "Beloved, let us love one another. For love is of God and every one that loves is born of God and knows God." 1John 4:11 "Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another."
