Hebrews
Hebrews 1:1 God, who at sundry times and
in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
Hebrews
1:1 God, who at sundry
times and in divers
manners spake.(one
way was; another was).in
time past unto the fathers by the
prophets,
All ways of communication
come as an effect
of the essence
of Creator-God, an essence we call the Holy
Spirit.
Hebrews
1:2 Has in these
last days spoken unto us by his Son.(original
does not have the pronoun.his;
simply means 'spoken unto us 'by a son' or 'in a son', for we are all sons
{Galatians 3:26-28}, but the
one who became the Christ has the preeminence:.Colossians
1:17,18), whom he has appointed heir of all things, by whom
also he made the worlds.
Original for 'the
worlds' is 'a time for it'.
Hebrews
1:3 Who being the brightness of his.(the
Father's:.John
4:24).glory and the express image
of his person and upholding all things by the word of his power.(the
'word of His power' is the laws God set down so both we and the universe
we are in, function as God designed
them to:.Acts
17:28).when he had by himself.(notice
it says 'by himself'; He worked; His works;
not
you working your ass off to root sin out, He's way more powerful; He
did it!).purged our sins.(this
was one of His
works).sat down on the right hand
of the Majesty
on high.(*).(*);
Hebrews
1:4 Being made so much better than the angels.(and
so us too!),
as he has by inheritance.(by
inheritance {Galatians 5:21}, not
by works).obtained a more excellent
name than they.
Hebrews
1:5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, You are my Son.('You
are my son'; as it applies to Emmanuel, so also to us who are living
souls;
how and why?),
this day have I begotten you? And again, I will be to him a Father and
he shall be to me a Son?
This
prognostication
was prophesied hundreds
of years before this time, in.Psalms
2:7, the prophecy
is about Emmanuel being born of a virgin and begotten of the Creator-Father.
Hebrews
1:6 And again, when he brings in the first begotten into the world,
he said, And let all the angels of God worship
him.
Hebrews
1:7 And of the angels he said, Who makes his angels spirits and his
ministers a flame of fire.
Comprised with.Barnes
Notes: The object of the apostle.Paul
in this passage
is to show that the angels serve God in a ministerial capacity, verse 14
below. Verse 7 here is from.Psalms
104:4.
Hebrews
1:8 But unto the Son he says, Your throne, O God, is for ever and ever,
a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of your kingdom.
All things are in
the Son's hands.
Hebrews 1:9 You have loved righteousness and hated
iniquity, therefore God, even your God, has anointed you with the oil of
gladness above your fellows.
Hebrews
1:9 You have loved righteousness and hated iniquity.(the
ways of righteousness {one of the high
consciousness qualities} are the ways of love, like the other higher
consciousness attributes,
righteousness also comes under the umbrella of love and that's
what God is), therefore God, even your God, has
anointed you with the oil of gladness above.(Revelation
1:6; Matthew 25:34).your
fellows.
Quoted from the Old Testament
in.Psalms
45:7.
Hebrews
1:10 And, you, Lord, in the beginning
have laid the foundation of the earth and the heavens are the works of
thine hands.
Hebrews
1:11.They
will perish.(the
heavens and the Earth in the previous verse); but you
remain and they all will wax old as does a garment;
Hebrews
1:13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right
hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
Hebrews 1:14 Are they not all ministering spirits,
sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
Hebrews
1:14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for.(original
'for the sake of';
that is sent forth to serve by helping those who
we care and pray for).them who shall.(original
for 'shall be' is 'to take care' and 'to be about'; that is, the angels
assist us who care about salvation; we are heirs because we care about
salvation and the spiritual things the Creator has revealed to us through
prayer, meditation, study and contemplation).be
heirs of salvation?
Hebrews
2:1 Therefore we ought
to give the more earnest.heed
to the things which we have heard, lest
at any time we should let them slip.
Hebrews
2:2 For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast
and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence
of reward.
Hebrews
2:3 How shall we escape if we neglect
so great salvation which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord and
was
confirmed.(2Peter
1:19).unto us by them that heard
him?
Hebrews
2:4 God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders and
with divers.(many different).miracles
and gifts.(original
for 'gifts' is 'divisions' {?}).of
the Holy Ghost, according to his own will.
Hebrews
2:5 For unto the angels has he not put in subjection
the world to come, whereof we speak.
That's the world
rolling our now as the evil is being rolled up.
Hebrews
2:6 But one in a certain place testified,
saying, What is man.(or
just why is man here?), that you are mindful of him? Or the son
of man, that you visit him.(or,
have your attention upon him)?
And where is this
certain place where this was said?.Psalms
8:4-6. But, was it all people? No. Some people were there for a different
purpose, such as the Edomites. Why was God like this?.Isaiah
14:1; Romans 9:10-22.
Hebrews
2:7 You made him a
little lower than the angels. You crowned him with glory and honour
and did set him over the works of your hands.
1Corinthians
2:9; 6:3; Psalms
8:4-6; John 10:34.
And
though
the rewards for each of us are still
to be handed out, when was the purpose set for it all?.2Timothy
1:9.
Hebrews 2:8 You have put all things in subjection
under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left
nothing that is not put under him. But now.we
see not yet all things put under him.
Hebrews
2:8 You.(speaking
of the Creator-Father).have put all
things in subjection under his.(Christ's).feet.(but,
what
really is Christ?). For in that he put all in subjection under him,
he left nothing that is not put under him. But now.we
see.(or, when we
look at the world, we don't yet see this, because it's a kingdom
unfolding
from within those
in
Christ).not yet all things.(word
'things' not in original; simply means 'all':.Ephesians
1:23).put under him.
Hebrews
2:9 But we see Emmanuel,
who was made a little
lower than the angels for the suffering of
death.(did
Emmanuel have to die?), crowned with glory and honour, that he by
the grace of God should taste death for all..
To redeem them,
Christ had to take on the nature
of humans and suffered the experience of death, so that we wouldn't
have to. See Death subject.
Hebrews 2:10 For it became him for whom are all things
and by whom are all things in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the
captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
Hebrews
2:10 For it became him.(God),
for.(original of word
'for' is 'by', 'through').whom are
all things and by.(original
for 'by' is same as word 'for'; meaning the Creator-Father is the originator
of all and that all even since the original creation, came through
Him becoming the man who became known as Emmanuel the Christ:.Romans
11:36; 1Timothy 2:5).whom.(word
'whom').are
all things.(Hebrews
1:2).in bringing many
sons unto glory, to make.(or
as the original says 'make perfect' and intended
'to become', that is, through what
He did He became the complete {Hebrews
7:25} and perfectly qualified individual to be our savior
and the captain).the captain of their
salvation (Emmauel who is now the
Christ)
perfect.(?).through
sufferings.
Word translated 'sufferings'
here into English means pain or distress, referring to
His
crucifixion, He qualified for the position He holds because of
what He went through to turn the hearts of people to the Father.(Matthew
11:27).by
His
sufferings. He willingly went through it for us so we wouldn't have to,
in
order to know the Father:.1Peter
2:21; 3:18; 4:1;
Titus
2:14; Hebrews 9:24; 10:20);
1John
3:16; compare word 'suffering' in 1Peter
5:10. Emmanuel's sufferings were not our sufferings, out trials. Our
trials are for learning lessons on the stage
of earth. Why are they needed?.Isaiah
30:1-18.
Hebrews
2:11 For both he that sanctifies
and they who are sanctified are all
of
one, for which cause
he
is not ashamed to call them brethren.
Is
Christ our brother?
Hebrews 2:12 Saying, I will declare your name.(God
the Father's name, is what God is).unto
my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.
Hebrews
2:12 Saying.(the
verse is talking about what Emmanuel was 'saying', was feeling in His heart
and this was typical
of how David, about a thousand years before also felt; Hebrews 2:12 is
from a psalm of David:.Psalms
22:22; not known to David way back then, that his heart and words in
Psalms 22 were a prophecy of the circumstances surrounding Emmanuel's crucifixion),
I will declare thy name.(God
the Father's name, what God is, many
names.describe
Him).unto my brethren, in the midst
of the church will I sing praise unto thee.
From Psalms
22:22.
Hebrews
2:13 And again, I will put my trust
in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God has given me.
Psalms
18:2-6.
Hebrews 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers
of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same that
through death he might destroy him that had the
power
of death, that is, the devil.
Hebrews
2:14.Forasmuch
then as the.(words 'as
the', not in original).children are.(word
'are', not in original).partakers of
flesh and blood.(the
verse is simply saying that Emmanuel was a child like any human flesh and
blood child), he also himself likewise took part of the same that
through
death.(Emmanuel's
purpose however, was different from other children in that He came to die
for all humanity {2Corinthians
5:14,15} so that sin would no longer
count against us and so that humanity would not
have to experience death, but humanity's belief pumped
by the dark side covers this truth until humanity sees the true
purpose of life and wants it, because Creator-God will
never override a person's beliefs).he.(Emmanuel
who became the resurrected Christ).might.(word
'might' not in original).destroy.(original
'make inactive as a result of', 'to cause to cease', 'to ensure something
has no more effect', 'rendered idle').him
that had.(and
still has for those in the regular
consciousness).the
power
of death, that is, the devil.(Ephesians
2:2).
The power of death is one
of the devil's works against us:.1John
3:8.
Belief
in death is belief in the dark
side that has the power of death.
In Christ is the power of eternal
life. The power of death includes those deceitful
things that can take you down the road
toward death. Raise up your beliefs away from the low consciousness
pathway of death; this documentary movie will help,.The
Grand Self.
In
Christ, there is no death because
you are in Him and the Father, one with them now.(*),
away from that which you were previously held:.Romans
7:5,6. That's the message that got the early churches fired up:.John
12:19; Acts 19:23.
Hebrews
2:15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime
subject to bondage.(bondage
of their self-imposed
world).
Hebrews
2:16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels, but he took
on him the seed of Abraham.
The nature of Abraham
would be humanity
in high consciousness.
Hebrews
2:17 Wherefore in all things it behoved
him to be made like unto his brethren.(God
in Christ became a human being:.Colossians
1:18), that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest
in things pertaining to God, to
make reconciliation for the sins of the people.
Hebrews 2:18 For in that he himself has suffered
being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.
Hebrews
2:18 For in that he himself has suffered.(original
is 'been affected', 'undergone').being
tempted.(original 'tried';
the
Creator doesn't tempt anyone), he is able to succour.(help).them
that are tempted.(original
'a trial', 'an experience', 'to have a trial of a thing', 'beyond', 'on
the other side'; in other words, 'tempted' would mean, something tending
to pull you away from your basis in Christ {John
15:5} and this to strengthen character
because you'll have something to work on to build spiritual strength as
you live in this
pressure cooker on Earth, but you have help:.Matthew
11:28-30;
Ephesians 2:10.
