Psalms 11:1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. In the Lord put I my trust. How say you to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain.(Isaiah 65:11)?
David is saying he trusts in God and is not interested in others telling him to escape from what any particular trial may be. Why?.Romans 8:28.
Psalms 11:2 For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.

Psalms 11:4 The Lord is in his holy temple. The Lord's throne is in heaven. His eyes behold and try the children of men.
God examines us, tries us, adjusting life for us accordingly.
Psalms 11:5 The Lord tries the righteous, but the wicked and him that loves violence his soul hates..(?)

Psalms 11:6 Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone and an horrible tempest. This shall be the portion of their cup.

Psalms 11:7 For the righteous Lord loves righteousness. His countenance does behold the upright.
Verse is showing what God's standard is.
Psalms 12:2 They speak vanity every one with his neighbour. With flattering lips and with a double heart.(*).do they speak.
Psalms 24:4.
Psalms 12:6 The words of the Lord are pure words as silver tried in a furnace of Earth, purified seven times.
That is, they work; one can rely upon them.
Psalms 12:7 You shall keep them, O Lord, you shall preserve them from this generation for ever.
But hasn't the Bible been changed?
Psalms 12:8 The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.
Want to know how good your leaders are? Take a look at the rank and file people of the nation. Are they happy, thriving and prosperous?
Psalms 13:2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? How long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?

Psalms 13:3 Consider and hear me, O Lord my God. Lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death.

Psalms 13:4 Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.

Psalms 14:1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The fool has said in his heart, There is no God.(*). They are corrupt.(original 'destroyers', 'spoilers', 'perverts'), they have done abominable works, there is none of them.(2Kings 5:15).that does good.

Psalms 14:2 God looks from heaven upon the children of men to see if there were any that were seeking to learn ways of God.
Means that God is aware of all people, whether of humanity or not and how they are living and thinking. What God notices is recorded.
Psalms 14:3 They are all gone aside.(although appearing on the surface not so to be, their hearts were different from their persona) and they are all together become filthy.(morally.tainted). There is none that does good, no not one.
Psalms 53:1-4; 73:9-12.
Psalms 14:4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge.(they have knowledge of satanic ways but are not interested in ways of God:.Jeremiah 44:16,17), those who eat up my people as they eat bread and call not upon God?
Hypocrites, they just had no concern at all for anything other than selfish physical things:.Jeremiah 6:16. Spiritual knowledge was at that time the furthest thing from their minds.(Psalms 10:11), yet they were religious, appearing as good, as they do today:.Matthew 23:13-33. They just did not have the mind to analyze what's going on:.Matthew 7:16-20
Psalms 14:5 There were they in great fear for God is in the generation of the righteous.

Psalms 15:1 A Psalm of David. God, who shall abide in your tabernacle? Who shall dwell in your holy hill?
In other words, who will be a spiritual person aligned with the higher consciousness spiritual qualities?
Psalms 15:2 He that walks uprightly and works righteousness and speaks the truth in his heart.

Psalms 15:3 He that backbites not with his tongue nor does evil to his neighbour nor takes up a reproach against his neighbour,

Psalms 15:4 In whose eyes a vile individual is contemned, but he honours them that fear the Lord.(who is it on the pathway of God but he or she who has higher standards than, for example, the Pharisees et al and wants no part of their way:.Mattthew 5:20). He that swears to his own hurt and changes not.(will stick to the principles of honesty that one has determined to, verse 1 above).
Barnes Notes: Verse is about whomever has made a promise or entered into a contract, that is turning out or likely to turn out contrary to his expectations, that is, to his disadvantage, but he or she still adheres to what was agreed to. If the thing itself is wrong and if he has made a promise or pledged himself to do a wicked thing, he cannot be under obligation to execute it. He should at once abandon it:.Matthew 14:9. He is not at liberty to violate an agreement simply because it will be a loss to him or because he ascertains that it will not be, as he supposed, to his advantage. The principles here laid down will extend to all contracts or agreements, pecuniary or otherwise and should be a general principle regulating transactions with our fellow human beings. The only limitation in the rule is that above stated, when the promise or the contract would involve that which is morally wrong or turning out so to be.
Psalms 15:5 He that puts not out his money to usury nor takes reward against the innocent.(takes brides for selfish gains by tricking innocent people, while expecting trust from them and perpetrating such vile things). He that does these things shall never be moved.

Psalms 16:1 Preserve me, O God, for in you do I put my trust.

Psalms 16:2.(from the original).Said God the Creator of all, my.(God's).soul is good.(*).

Psalms 16:3 But to the saints that are in the Earth and to the excellent.(original for word 'excellent' is 'noble', 'honorable').in whom is all my delight.
JPS.has it:."As for the holy that are in the Earth they are the excellent in whom is all my delight."
Psalms 16:7 I will bless the Lord, who has given me counsel.(how?.1) 2) 3). My reins.(Psalms 7:9).also instruct me in the night seasons.
Original has no word 'seasons', verse ends with word 'night'. Perhaps the translators wanted to make the meaning clearer by using the word sessions and for some reason it got screwed up and came out 'seasons'. What would be the sessions of the night in one's life?
Psalms 16:8 I have set the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
Closer to the original.Being equal with the Lord.(how equal?), He is continually at my right handV(how close is that?)Vand thus I won't fall.
Psalms 16:10 For you will not leave my soul in hell neither will you suffer.(allow).your Holy One to see corruption.
Closer to the original. My soul won't be left for the grave, nor will you allow Godly men to see corruption..That is, to rot in a grave, why die?
Psalms 16:11 You have shown me the path of life, wherein your presence is fulness of joy and pleasures for evermore.
And closer to the original: Know this, the way to attain full abundant living and pleasures forever, is in front of your face.(that is, in God's presence (John 4:24), where's that?).and as close as your right hand.

John 10:10.

So, learn about these tools so you can use them:.1Timothy 6:17.

Psalms 17:1-6 A Prayer of David. Hear the right, O Lord; attend unto my cry, give ear unto my prayer, that goes not out of feigned lips. Let my sentence come forth from your presence.(in other words, 'I only want you to judge me'; and, where is God's presence?). Let your eyes behold the things that are equal.(take note of any imbalances in my life). You have proved my heart.(*). You have visited me in the night. You have tried me and found nothing. I am purposed that my mouth will not transgress. Concerning the works of men, by the word of your lips.(what 'words' did David learn from God? How would he have learnt them to apply to his life?).I have been kept from the paths of destroyers.(so, what he learned and applied in his life was what protected him from wicked men who would have taken great advantage of him to his hurt). Hold up my goings in your paths, that my footsteps slip not. I have called upon you because you hear me, O God. Incline your ear unto me and hear my speech.(listen to me and hear what I have to say).

Psalms 17:7 Show your marvellous lovingkindness, O you that saves by your right hand them which put their trust in you from those that rise up against them.

Psalms 17:8 Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of your wings,

Psalms 17:9 From the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who compass me about.

Psalms 17:10 They are inclosed in their own fat. With their mouth they speak proudly.

Psalms 17:15 As for me, I will behold your face in righteousness. I shall be satisfied, when I awake with your likeness.(the why we are here).
Closer to the original:.'See righteousness. Righteousness satisfies. Awake, God's righteousness.'.As though David is beckoning to the righteousness in him. To awake to the righteousness God has, which is love, may take lessons learned over many reincarnations. Rooting out the bad takes much practice doing good in helping others, in being of service to others, in encouraging others by lifting them up in life instead of putting them down. God is in no hurry and won't ever shove you into eternity. One must come to see, no matter how long it may take, that he or she sincerely wants to be in an ever expanding relationship with God:.1Corinthians 2:9; Daniel 12:3. God never hurries you and never forces you. God is infinite and so are our reincarnation times, until we each get it right.
Psalms 18:1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm.(a Psalm is a sacred.song, that is, one dedicated to the Creator).of David, the servant of the Lord, who spake unto the Lord the words of this song in the day that the Lord delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. And he said, I will.(original for word 'will' is 'surely').love thee, O Lord, my strength..(appreciation to God from David)
This whole Psalm is virtually word for word the same as 2Samuel 22nd chapter.
Psalms 18:2-6 The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler and the horn of my salvation and my high tower. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, so shall I be saved from mine enemies. The sorrows of death compassed me and the floods of unGodly men made me afraid. The sorrows of hell compassed me about. The snares of death prevented.(went before; all I seemed to do lead me in a pathway I didn't want).me. In my distress I called upon the Lord and cried unto my God. He heard my voice out of his temple and my cry came before him, even into his ears.
Where God is when you need Him.
Psalms 18:7-9 Then the Earth shook and trembled. The foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth. There went up a smoke out of his nostrils and fire out of his mouth was devouring. Coals were kindled by it. He bowed the heavens also and came down and darkness was under his feet.

Psalms 18:10 And he rode upon a cherub and did fly; yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind.

Psalms 18:11,12 He made darkness his secret place. His pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies. At the brightness that was before him his thick clouds passed, hail stones and coals of fire.

Psalms 18:13 The Lord also thundered in the heavens and the Highest gave his voice; hail stones and coals of fire.

Psalms 18:14,15 Yea, he sent out his arrows and scattered them and he shot out lightnings and discomfited them. Then the channels of waters were seen and the foundations of the world were discovered at thy rebuke, O Lord, at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.

Psalms 18:16-19 He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters. He delivered me from my strong enemy and from them which hated me, for they were too strong for me. They prevented.(even in his difficult times they were out to grind him down; no mercy).me in the day of my calamity, but the Lord was my stay. He brought me forth also into a large place. He delivered me because he delighted in me.

Psalms 18:20 God rewarded me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands has he recompensed me.
We reap what we may have sown.(*), sometime, somewhere, someway, unless we alter the frequencies that would have eventually worked against us, how? Build good things into your life:.Proverbs 14:12. Avoid being duplicitous.
Psalms 18:21-23 For I have kept the ways of God and have not wickedly departed from my God.(although David, who wrote this Psalm, did many bad things, in his deepest feelings he had such an incredible love for the heart of God, as so many of the Psalms he wrote show). For all his judgments were before me and I did not put away his statutes from me. I was also upright before him and I kept myself from mine iniquity.
JPS translation has it 'I was single-hearted (Matthew 7:13,14) with Him and I kept myself from my iniquity'. How does one keep himself from his iniquity?.Romans 13:14. Whether David did good or bad.(*), he lived a life of sincerity.
Psalms 18:24-27 Therefore has God recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight. With the merciful you show yourself merciful.(God is to us what we are to ourselves); with an upright man you show yourself upright. With the pure you show yourself pure and with the froward you show yourself froward.(reap what you sow). For you save the afflicted people, but bring down high looks.

Psalms 18:28 For you light my candle. God enlightens my darkness.

Psalms 18:29 For by you I have run through a troop and by my God have I leaped over a wall.

Psalms 18:30,31 As for God, his way is perfect. The word of God is tried. He is a buckler to all those that trust in him. For who is God or who is a rock besides our God?

Psalms 18:32 It is God that girds me with strength and makes my way perfect.

Psalms 18:33,34 He makes my feet like hinds' feet and sets me upon my high places. He teachs my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.

Psalms 18:35 You have also given me the shield of your salvation and your right hand has held me up and your gentleness has made me great.
Barnes Notes: The word here rendered gentleness, evidently means here favor, goodness, kindness. It commonly means humility, modesty. as applied to God, it means mildness, clemency, favor. The idea is it God had dealt with him in gentleness, kindness, clemency and that to this fact alone he owed all his prosperity and success in life. It was not by any claim which he had on God. It was by no worth of his own. It was by no native strength or valor that he had been thus exalted, but it was wholly because God had dealt kindly with him or had showed him favor. So all our success in life is to be traced to the favor, the kindness of God:.3John 1:2.
Psalms 18:36 You have enlarged my steps under me that my feet did not slip.

Psalms 18:37-44 I have pursued mine enemies and overtaken them; neither did I turn again till they were consumed.(keep at it in overcoming the things that tend to drag you down). I have wounded them that they were not able to rise. They are fallen under my feet. For you have girded me with strength unto the battle. You have subdued under me those that rose up against me. You have also given me the necks of mine enemies, that I might destroy them that hate me. They cried, but there was none to save them: even the Lord, but he answered them not.(God wants us to handle all we can by ourselves as this builds character:.1Corinthians 10:13; Philippians 4:13). Then did I beat them small as the dust before the wind.(David was against anyone who was against God). I did cast them out as the dirt in the streets. You have delivered me from the strivings of the people and you have made me the head of the heathen; a people whom I have not known shall serve me. As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me. The strangers shall submit themselves unto me.

Psalms 18:45 The strangers shall fade away and be afraid out of their close places.
If we.trust in God, concerns which we seem to feel require an increasing involvement are looked after by God and we can relax in His ability to take care of anything.
Psalms 18:46,47 God lives and blessed be my rock and let the God of my salvation be exalted. It is God that avenged me and subdued the people under me.

Psalms 18:48 He delivers me from mine enemies. Yea, you lift me up above those that rise up against me. You have delivered me from the violent man.

Psalms 18:49,50  Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O God, among the heathen and sing praises unto your name. Great deliverance gives he to his king and shows mercy to his anointed, to David and to his seed for evermore.
