Hebrews
10:1 For the law.(the
Old
Testament.Mosaic
Law with all its so many laws, rules, regulations, rites,
sacrifices
and offerings is now defunct;
how
many were there?)
having a shadow of good things to come
and not the very image of the things, could never with those sacrifices
which they offered year by year continually, make the comers thereunto
perfect.
Comprised
with.Clarke's
Commentary:.It
was never God's will and design that the sacrifices under the Mosaic Law
God initiated, should be considered as making atonement
for sin. The purpose of them was to point out the incarnation.of.Christ
into the physical body of Emmanuel
and His physical body's consequent.sacrificial
death:.Hebrews
7:19,22: 8:6. This
covered the transgressions that were committed in old covenant
times, covered them until Christ came.
Hebrews
10:2 For then.(if
it had been that way).would
they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once
purged should have had no more conscience of sins.
No
more conscience of guilt over having sinned, because what
Christ did is do much better than man feeling guilty over what he may
have done that was wrong.
Comprised with.Adam
Clarke's Commentary:.that
is, his conscience
would be satisfied that its guilt had been taken away, but offerings/sacrifices
continued, because they knew back then that such oblations
pointed out that which was to come and so they were offered therefore,
not in consideration of their own efficacy,
but as referring to what was to come, Christ;.Eclectic
Notes:."the
constant repetition of these sacrifices proves that their effect is only
temporary; they cannot possibly bring about a lasting, adequate relationship
to God. One who needs a fresh offering or a fresh application of the blood
to cleanse him, is not purged once for all.";
believe in the power of the single application:.Hebrews
9:28; if you may be still of the mind you are in sin, having such faults
as may weigh you down, it shows that the power of your belief is lacking
(Hebrews 1:3; 7:27;
10:10,12;
Mark
9:24) regarding looking at those thing not as God does; God looks on
you seeing not your faults, instead seeing only the
blood of Emmanuel Christ that eradicated
them, so why should you think less of yourself that God does of you? Well,
people do think less of themselves than God does of them, because they
see their faults as bigger than the incredible gift
of God in Christ
that took all of your life's negatives, whether past, present or any future
ones, away for all time.
Hebrews
10:3 But in those sacrifices there was a remembrance again made of
sins every year.
Hebrews
10:4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should
take away.(original
is 'cut off', 'remove').sins.
Hebrews
10:5.Wherefore
when Christ came into the world, he said.(Psalms
40:6-8), Sacrifice and offering
the Father doesn't want.(Mark
12:33), because a body my Father
has prepared for me.
The
body comprises
those called
to be in it and they are those of humanity
and some of those of mankind, forgiven for eternity,
like all beings who look to Christ, analogy
being that of the strangers, being those not of the ancient nation of Israel
but wanting to be. About the 'strangers' in the Old Testament writings:.Leviticus
19:34; Deuteronomy 25:5.
God turns away none that want Him, ever. Once saved, always saved
and when was this?.2Timothy
1:9. Problem is many saved don't know they have been, so, they need
yet to come to God. That's why it's important to tactfully.reach
out to others.
Romans
12:4,5; 1Corinthians 6:17;
10:17;
12:12-22;
12:27;
Ephesians
4:4; 4:12,13;
Colossians
1:18,24.
Emmanuel's
broken body (Isaiah 52:14; 53:2-12)
was the
sacrifice,
a
gift. Not like the sacrifices and offerings of Old Testament times
as they would no longer be wanted nor needed, because Emmanuel's body was
the ultimate
for all time sacrifice, needed only once (1Peter
3:18), a gift that would open the door for perfection
of individuals, a body of believers.(*).
Original for."have
you prepared".is
the word 'perfect', that is, those spiritually with Him would be perfect.
How?.From.Psalms
40:6.
Hebrews
10:6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin you have had no pleasure.
Why
the true God of all love doesn't need this? Does the Creator God of all
creations need you to kill one of his creatures and burn it to offer a
'pleasing' sacrifice to him? Nope!.Mark
12:33.
So, was the
Mosaic Law any good at all?.Galatians
3:10.
Hebrews
10:7 Then said I, Lo, I come, in the
volume of the words in the book that is written of me.(Psalms
40:7), to do your will, O God.
Because
the old way of sacrifices
and offerings, etc. was not pleasing the God the Father. It was never
God's will, God's heart. Christ came to do what really has always been
God's will. And what was that?.1John
4:10-16.
Hebrews
10:8 Above.(translators
could have used the word 'before' as the original word is an anacoluthon).when
he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin
you would not.(God
didn't want anything to do with the Old Testament various
things), neither had pleasure therein which are offered
by the law;
Robertson
Word Pictures: Christ speaking as in verse
5 speaking of the Father higher up than he. Like your family is all
one family, but your dad is the head of it.
Hebrews 10:9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do your will,
O God. He takes away the first, that he may establish the second.
Hebrews
10:9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do your will.(it
was
God's plan that the old
covenant would be abolished:.John
1:17; Romans 6:15; 8:2;
Hebrews
7:19,28; 10:1-9; and it was
abolished in 70
A.D.), O God. He takes away the
first, that he may establish the second.
Hebrews
10:10 By the which will we are sanctified
through the offering of the body of Emmanuel
Christ once for all.
Words
'for all' not in original; means Emmanuel's sacrifice was never
necessary again, as it was that good and that all encompassing.
Hebrews
10:11 And every priest stands daily ministering and offering oftentimes
the same sacrifices,
which can never take away sins.
1Corinthians
11:27.
Hebrews
10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice.(original
'killing', a killing of himself; a
difference between 'sacrifice' and killing).for
sins forever.(*),
sat down on the right hand of God.
He
came and died as a gift (Romans 5:15)
to free all humanity from death:.Romans
5:12; 6:23; 1Corinthians
15:55.
Hebrews
10:13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
Hebrews
10:14 For by one offering.(Christ's
sacrifice).he has perfected
holiness
continually.
That
is, perfected holiness from now on for all humanity thanks to what he did.(Isaiah
52:14).by
coming to Earth and being crucified, so all humanity could have access
directly to God, how?.Colossians
1:12.
Hebrews
10:15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us; for after that
he had said before,
Hebrews
10:16 This
is the covenant that I will make with them after those days,
says the Lord, I will put my laws.(what
laws were these? {Matthew 22:36-40}
and then, why not
these or these
Old Testament ones?).into
their hearts and in their minds will I write them.
Jeremiah
31:33.
Hebrews
10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
So,
does
sin even count any longer? And, if God won't remember them, why do
some of us hold onto guilt?
Hebrews
10:18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for
sin.
It's done, it's
over; once
was enough and for all time and for anyone:.Hebrews
9:28. Sin now no longer
spiritually counts.
Hebrews
10:19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest
by the blood of Emmanuel.
And
not by a symbol of that redemption as
some religions have it.
Hebrews
10:20 By a new and living way, which he has consecrated.for
us, through the veil,
that is to say, his flesh.
It
was our fleshly existence that kept this covering, this vail.(2Corinthians
3:16), covering us up from the truth. Emmanuel gave up his fleshly
existence to help us:.Isaiah
52:14; Romans 5:7-21; 8:14,15;
Galatians
4:6.
It's saying
that
in Christ, the
veil keeping us from our true reality in God, is gone. The veil of negativity
we've been under (Revelation 12:9),
as
Adam also was so long before us and passed that on to his posterity,
is now torn down:.Colossians
2:13,14.
Now the 'veil'
of Christ in the one we know as Emmanuel or Jesus, His flesh was destroyed
and this opened the way out of negativity for all accepting what He had
done as being true and wanting that applicable to them, so that veil was
torn away:.2Corinthians
3:16. Now we can be close to the Father that Emmanuel
came
to reveal. Doesn't say after you die and then 'by a new and living
way' which comes, as some religions believe, when one goes to heaven, which
one doesn't. It says the new living way He made possible
through
Him. Not a new dying way where you go to heaven, but His
actual
redemption of us today:.2Corinthians
6:2.
It wasn't by
means of keeping what some religions say is a symbol of redemption, it
was by means of His body (1Peter 2:24)
that we have access to the Father-Creator:.Romans
5:1,2; Galatians 4:7; Ephesians
2:18.
Hebrews
10:21 And having a high priest over the
house of God;
Hebrews 10:22 Let us draw
near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, knowing our hearts
have already been sprinkled and our bodies washed with pure water, which
things take us away from an evil conscience.
Hebrews
10:22 Let us draw near.(it's
a free choice').with
a true heart.(it's a
spiritual thing; 'draw near':.James
4:8).in.full
assurance of faith, knowing our hearts have
already.(that is, those
to whom Paul was speaking were already in a state of knowing {2Timothy
1:9} that their hearts are clean thanks to what Christ came and did
and that they are sincere).been
sprinkled and our bodies washed.(*).with
pure water.(John
4:10,14; 7:38), which things
take
us away from.(original
for 'from' is 'a state
of separation').an
evil conscience.(Romans
8:1,2).
Water is
akin
to the spirit, that is, once in higher
consciousness living your entire being becomes bathed in it. Good to
get a daily wash by meditating, studying,
etc. Well then, what about baptism?.Hebrews
6:1,2.
Hebrews
10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering,
for he is faithful that promised.
Hebrews
12:2.
Hebrews
10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke
unto love and to good works.
Matthew
9:13; 18:19,20.
Hebrews
10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together.(good
to get together with others; key
to good relationships; Romans 15:5;
Philippians
2:2;.Commander
Thor in his book.Outwitting
Tomorrow."stop
dissipation
in your social life"), as the
manner of some is, but
exhorting
one another and so much the more as you see the day approaching.
What
day back then would this have been?
By getting
together with others, a closeness and caring is generated.."I
know it is good that people know how to pour out their hearts. How nice
it is when people have found each other in order to complement
and support each other."....Bruno
Gröning.
Fellowship:.1John
1:3.
Hebrews 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we
have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice
for sins,
Hebrews
10:26 For if
we sin willfully.(means
intentionally,
that is, in full knowledge of what we are doing; willfully is, as opposed
to sins committed inconsiderately; one can sin and not have knowledge he
is doing so and that's really an offense, for example you hurt someone's
feelings, not intending to; but willingly means, you know it's wrong,
say to
sabotage
another or to steal, rape, hurt, hate, murder and be deceitful and even
though you know it's wrong, but because of a warped sense of selfish advantage
and perhaps dislike, you do it anyway; you have caused a hurt on
purpose).after that we have received
the knowledge of the truth.(one's
awakening
to the truth of his existence), there remains no more.(original
for 'no more' is 'no further', meaning no other, meaning that's it, there
ain't no more, no one else who'll come along but He who has already come
along).sacrifice for sins.
Christ's one
gift was good for all people and for all time and it works again and again
and again:.Hebrews
9:25,26,28).(?)
We see this of God throughout the Old Testament, where over
and over and over again God's mercy to those wanting it, was always
there.
The verse is
speaking of those who know they have done evil on purpose and not caring
to effectively believe the
blood
of Christ could
take it away
that evil, instead disdaining
it. And another equally perplexing.passage:.Hebrews
6:4-6.
Hebrews
10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment.(Revelation
20:12).and fiery indignation,
which shall devour the adversaries.
If
you lack having
the boldness of faith.(verses
19,20,22 above and verse 35 below and also.Ephesians
3:12.and.1John
4:17) from believing in what Christ did to eradicate
sin and the fear of retribution
that accompanies it, what are you left with? If you lack it, get it (Matthew
7:7) and get going in life).
The amazing movie.The
Grand Self.is
very helpful towards this.
Hebrews
10:28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three
witnesses.
Those
back then that were bad in their actions were worthy of death. Barnes
Notes: In all cases the offender against the law of Moses died
without mercy only where offenses were so bad. What were these offenses?.Deuteronomy
13:6-10.
Hebrews 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose
you, shall he be thought worthy who has trodden under foot the Son of God
and has counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified,
an unholy thing and has done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
Closer
to the original:
Hebrews
10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose you, shall he be thought
worthy who has trodden under foot the Son of God.(how
does one do this? you don't want have a mind of betrayal to God, as ancient
Judas got sucked into:.Mark
14:21).and has counted the blood
of.(1Corinthians
11:23-26).the
covenant, wherewith
he was sanctified,
an unholy thing and has done despite
unto the Spirit of grace?
Note on punishment:
Paul is saying in verses 26-31 that one who is saying we
trod
Christ under foot by purposely
avoiding to follow what Christ has done for us, that is, not caring one
way or the other about it all. Discounting in our personal lives the result
of the reason He came to Earth in the first place, is trodding underfoot
the Son
of God:.John
3:16,17. It's the same as rejecting Christ by following the unloving
ways of low consciousness:.Matthew
25:35-45; Romans 9:23,24;
1Corinthians
11:22-29..
One way of
doing despite unto the spirit of grace is to continue confessing one's
sins, when all sins for all time have already
been looked after and this having been looked after puts an individual
into the category
of being incorruptible.
Hebrews
10:30 For we know him that has said, Vengeance belongs unto
me.(2Thessalonians
1:6), I will
recompense,
says God. And again, God judges his people.(it's
God that judges us and has
done that already).
Where
was this said?.Deuteronomy
32:35. All people are God's people; just that, at
this time most don't know it and specifically
it means those who do
know Him and, how does He judge?
Hebrews
10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
And
one can be in His hands and be unaware of why
some things are happening, as
was ancient Paul.
Hebrews
10:34 For you had compassion of me in my bonds and took joyfully the
spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that you have in heaven a
better and an enduring substance.
Heaven
is the invisible
realm
of the soul:.1John
4:17 "...as he is, so are we in this world."
Hebrews
10:35 Cast not away therefore your confidence.(don't
be discouraged and give up on your faith and hope because you have given
so much to help out and things may still be rough; hang
in there), which has great recompence of
reward.
2Corinthians
9:6; Hebrews 13:8.
Hebrews
10:36 For you have need of patience,
that, after.(when
after?).you have done the
will of God, you might receive the promise,
What
promise?.1John
2:25.
Hebrews
10:37 For yet a little while and he that shall.(words
'he that shall' not in original).come
will come.(that
which is coming will come).and
will not tarry.
It
won't be delayed. You'll have it when its needed. The scripture, considering
its context, means to be patient in your good works of helping with what
you can and that which you need and want in order to continue in those
works, will come without delay. How
does this work then?
Hebrews
10:38 Now the just live
by faith. But if any man draw back, my soul
shall have no pleasure.(not
pleased because of not being in alignment with love).in
him.
Because
one is then moving out of alignment
with Creator-God.
Hebrews 10:39 But we are not of them who draw back
unto perdition, but of them that believe that they have already been saved.
Hebrews
10:39 But we are not of them who draw back.(go
backwards).unto perdition.(a
destructive pathway of thinking and living, the low consciousness ego
level is mostly on a path of selfishness, deceit and destruction; those
of destruction toward others are affecting
themselves the same way; all sentient
beings have free choice at all
times, if not, how would our hearts be known to
us), but of them that believe that they
have already been saved.(and
why would they believe that?.2Timothy
1:9; original for 'saving' is 'kept safe by', 'obtaining', 'purchasing',
so 'obtain' your Soul's connection, wherein what it is that is the real
you is secure in its future (Matthew
10:28) by avoiding it being overridden by your
ego and allowing your life to be run by it; your life connected with
the
Soul is what changes it to joy).of
the soul.
