Mark
14:1 After two days was the feast of the passover and of unleavened
bread and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take
him by craft and put him to death.
This
was the cabal,
which has been around since the days
of Cain.
Mark
14:2 But they said, Not on the feast day lest there be an uproar of
the people.
Mark
14:3-6 And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper,
as he sat at meat.(mealtime),
there came a woman.(who
may this have been? see Clarke's Commentary note, just below).having
an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious and she opened
the box and poured it on his head. And there were some that had indignation
within themselves and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made? or
it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence and have been
given to the poor.(like
those today {1,
2}
who are users, deceivers and abusers of humanity, those who are out to
get all they possibly can from you for their selfish and cruel satanic
ways and criminal cohorts).
And they murmured against her. And Emmanuel
said, Let her alone. Why trouble her? she has wrought a good work on me.
Clarke's
Commentary: Some think that the woman mentioned here was Mary,
the sister of Lazarus. Others think it was Mary Magdalene. Had this been
Mary the sister of Lazarus, why would Matthew and Mark have suppressed
her name in their writing of it by simply calling her 'a woman' as they
both knew her well as they were part of the group?
Bishop Newcome's
view on who these women were: Mary and Martha her sister lived in the same
town as Lazarus and this event is mentioned in Matthew and Mark's accounts.
All three were around Emmanuel a lot. The meal here in Mark
14:1-3 was at Simon the leper's place
and was made only two days before
the passover and the meal in John 12:1-3
was six days before
the passover at the house of Lazarus,
two separate events. The woman here was one named Mary. She poured the
oil
on Christ's feet. And so did this unknown
lady:.Luke
7:36-50. Christ said this woman would be remembered for her act of
love at this time:.Matthew
26:6-13. She is also unknown. This lady poured oil on the head
of Christ.
The oils were
mixed with various herbs, forming an ointment.
Spikenard is an aromatic.perennial.herb
(Nardostachys jatamansi) of the Himalaya Mountains in India (map),
having rose-purple flowers and 'spikes' growing out of its roots; also
called nard. It gives off a sweet scented perfume when made into an ointment.
The name 'nard' for this aromatic plant of India is probably from the ancient
Sanskrit
'naladam'. It is also a North American plant (Aralia racemosa) having small
greenish flowers, aromatic roots and bipinnately.compound
leaves.
Mark
14:7 For you have the poor with you always.(John
12:8).and
whenever
you can, do them good, but me you have not always.
Mark
14:8,9 She has done what she could. She is come aforehand to anoint
my body to the burying. Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel
shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she has done
shall be spoken of for a memorial
of her.
Mark
14:10,11 And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went unto the chief
priests, to betray him unto them. And when they.(those
Pharisees,
et
al, who allowed themselves to be influenced by the
dark side).heard
it, they were glad and promised to give him money. And he sought how he
might conveniently betray him.
Mark
14:12-14 And the first day of unleavened
bread, when they killed the passover, his disciples said unto him,
Where will you that we go and prepare that you may eat the passover? And
he sent forth two of his disciples and said unto them, Go into the city
and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water. Follow him.
And wheresoever he shall go in, say you to the goodman of the house, The
Master said, Where is the guest chamber, where I shall eat the passover
with my disciples?
Were
these angels?.Hebrews
13:2.
Mark
14:18-20 And as they sat and did eat, Emmanuel
said, Verily I say unto you, One of you which eats with me shall betray
me. And they began to be sorrowful and to say unto him one by one, Is it
I? and another said, Is it I? And he answered and said unto them, It is
one of the twelve, that dips with me in the dish.
Mark
14:21 The Son of man indeed goes, as it is written of him, but woe
to that man.(John
12:4).by whom the Son of
man is
betrayed.(other
references to Judas betrayal of Emmanuel)! Good were
it for that man if he had never been born.
Acts
1:16-20; God was behind it.(*).
Emmanuel came to clean up this
thing called sin for all humanity, by dying.(*).
The final cleaning up before the great age of the kingdom of God is now
being done.
Mark
14:22 And as they did eat, Emmanuel took bread and blessed and brake
it and gave to them and said, Take, eat, this is.(represents,
symbolizes).my
body.
Mark
14:23 And he took the cup and when he had given thanks he gave it to
them and they all drank of it.
Mark
14:24 And he said unto them, This is my my
blood of the new
testament, which is shed for many.
Mark
14:25 Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the
vine, until that day that I drink it new in
the
kingdom of God.

Luke
22:15,16).(Eclectic

original Aramaic.may
have read 'until I drink it having been renewed in the kingdom of God'"
Mark
14:26 And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount
of Olives.
Mark
14:27 And Emmanuel said unto them, All you shall be offended because
of me this night. For it is written.(Zechariah
13:7). I will smite the
shepherd and the sheep shall be scattered.
Mark
14:28 But after that I am risen, I will go before you into Galilee.
Mark
14:29,30 But Peter said unto him, Although all shall be offended, yet
will not I. And Emmanuel said unto him, Verily
I say unto you, That this day, even in this night before the cock crow
twice, you shall deny me thrice.
Mark
14:31 But he spake the more vehemently, If I should die with you, I
will not deny you in any wise. Likewise also said they all.
Mark
14:32 And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane and he said
to his disciples, Sit you here, while I pray.
Mark
14:33 And he took with him Peter and James and John and began to be
sore amazed and to be very heavy;
He
was feeling the burden of what he was about to go through and feeling somewhat
affrighted.
Mark
14:34 And said unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death.
Tarry
you here and watch.
That
is, give attention to this important matter to me. He wanted these three
disciples to be near him mentally and emotionally at this time.
Mark
14:35 And he went forward a little and fell on the ground and prayed
that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him.
Mark
14:36 And he said, Abba, Father,
all things are possible unto you. Take away this cup from me.(haven't
we all felt like this at times in life:.Romans
8:28; 1Corinthians 10:13;
1Peter 1:7), nevertheless
not what I will, but what you will.
John
12:27.
Mark
14:37 And he came and found them sleeping and said unto Peter, Simon,
you are sleeping? couldn't you watch one hour?
Mark
14:38-42 Watch you and pray, lest you enter into temptation.(get
off the track of high consciousness of which you've been learning from
me). The spirit truly is ready but the flesh is weak. And
again he went away and prayed and spake the same words. And when he returned
he found them asleep again for their eyes were heavy, neither wist
they what to answer him. And he came the third time and said unto them,
Sleep on now and take your rest. It is enough. The hour is come. Behold,
the Son of man is betrayed
into the hands of sinners. Rise up, let us go. Lo,
he that betrays me is at hand.
Mark
14:43-46 And immediately, while he yet spake, came Judas, one of the
twelve and with him a great multitude with swords and staves from the chief
priests and the scribes and the elders. And he that betrayed him had given
them a token saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss that same is he. Take him
and lead him away safely. And as soon as he was come, he goes straightway
to him and said, Master, master and kissed him. And they laid their hands
on him and took him.
Mark
14:47 And one of them that stood by drew a sword and smote a servant
of the high priest and cut off his ear.
Mark
14:48 And Emmanuel answered and said unto them, Are you come out as
against a thief with swords and with staves to take me?
Mark
14:49 I was daily with you in the temple teaching and you took me not,
but the scriptures must be fulfilled.
Mark
14:50 And they all forsook him and fled.
Mark
14:51,52 And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen
cloth cast about his naked body and the young men laid hold on him. And
he left the linen cloth and fled from them naked.
Mark
14:53 And they led Emmanuel
away to the high priest and with him were assembled all the chief priests
and the elders and the scribes.
Mark
14:54 And Peter followed him afar off, even into the palace of the
high priest and he sat with the servants and warmed himself at the fire.
Mark
14:55-57 And the chief priests and all the
council sought for witness against Emmanuel to put him to death and
found none. For many bare false witness against him, but their witness
agreed not together. And there arose certain and bare false witness against
him, saying,
Mark
14:58 We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with
hands and within three days I will build another made without hands.
Mark
14:59 But neither so did their witness agree together.
Mark
14:60 And the high priest stood up in the midst and asked Emmanuel,
saying, Answer you nothing? what is it which these witness against you?
Mark
14:61 But he held his peace and answered nothing. Again the high priest
asked him and said unto him, Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed.(referring
to God)?
Mark14:62
And Emmanuel said, I am and you shall see the Son of man sitting on the
right hand of power and coming in the clouds of heaven.
When
was this to be?
Mark
14:63 Then the high priest rent.(tore).his
clothes and said, What need we any further witnesses?
Was
a sign to others there that he thought what Emmanuel was saying was ridiculous.
Mark
14:64 You have heard the blasphemy. What think you? And they all condemned
him to be guilty of death.
Mark
14:65 And some began to spit on him and to cover his face and to buffet
him and to say unto him, Prophesy and the servants did strike him with
the palms of their hands.
Mark
14:66-69 And as Peter was beneath in the palace, there came one of
the maids of the high priest. And when she saw Peter warming himself she
looked upon him and said, And you also were with Emmanuel of Nazareth.
But he denied, saying, I know not, neither understand I what you say. And
he went out into the porch and the cock crew. And a maid saw him again
and began to say to them that stood by, This is one of them.
Mark
14:70 And he denied it again. And a little after, they that stood by
said again to Peter, Surely you are one of them for you are a Galilaean
and your speech agrees thereto.
Mark
14:71 But he began to curse and to swear, saying, I know not this man
of whom you speak.
Mark
14:72 And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the
word that Emmanuel said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, you shall
deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.
Mark
15:1 And straightway in the morning the chief priests held a consultation
with the elders and scribes and the whole council.(?)and
bound Emmanuel and carried him
away and delivered him to Pilate.
Mark
15:2 And Pilate asked him, Are you the King of the Jews? And he answering
said unto him, You said it.
Mark
15:3 And the chief priests accused him of many things, but he answered
nothing.
Mark
15:4,5 And Pilate asked him again,
saying, Answer you nothing? behold how many things they witness against
you. But Emmanuel answered nothing; so that Pilate marveled.(what's
with this guy? he says nothing in his defense).
Mark
15:6-14 Now at that feast he released unto them one prisoner, whomsoever
they desired. And there was one named Barabbas, which lay bound with them
that had made insurrection with him.(Four
Fold Gospel: Josephus
tells us in his The Antiquities of the Jews 18.3.2, that there had
been an insurrection
against Pilate's government about that time caused by the taking of money
from the temple treasury {Jewish} by Pilate {a Roman} for the construction
of a Eoman aqueduct. This may have been the affair here referred to, for
in it many lost their lives), who had committed murder in
the insurrection. And the multitude crying aloud began to desire him to
do as he had ever done unto them. But Pilate answered them, saying, Will
you that I release unto you the King of the Jews? For he knew that the
chief priests had delivered him for envy. But the chief priests moved the
people, that he should rather release Barabbas unto them. And Pilate answered
and said again unto them, What will you then that I shall do unto him whom
you call the King of the Jews? And they cried out again, Crucify him. Then
Pilate said unto them, Why, what evil has he done? And they cried out the
more exceedingly, Crucify him.
Mark
15:15 And so Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabbas
unto them and delivered Emmanuel, when he had scourged
him, to be crucified.
Mark
15:16-20 And the soldiers led him away into the hall, called Praetorium
and they called together the whole band. And they clothed him with purple
and platted a crown of thorns and put it about his head, And began to salute
him, Hail, King of the Jews! And they smote him on the head with a reed
and did spit upon him and bowing their knees worshipped him. And when they
had mocked
him, they took off the purple from him and put his own clothes on him and
led him out to crucify him.
Mark
15:21 And they compel one Simon a Cyrenian, who passed by, coming out
of the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear his cross.
Mark
15:22 And they brought him unto the place Golgotha, which is, being
interpreted, The place of a skull.
Mark
15:23 And they gave him to drink wine mingled
with myrrh.
But he received it not.
Mark
15:24 And when they had crucified him, they parted his garments, casting
lots upon them.(why?),
what every man should take.
Mark
15:25 And it was the third hour and they crucified him.
Mark
15:26 And the superscription of his accusation
was written.(in
three languages: Luke 23:38; John
19:20).over.(or,
above His head on the upright stake),
THE KING OF THE JEWS.
Mark
15:27 And with him they crucified two thieves, the one on his right
hand and the other on his left.
Mark
15:28-29 And the scripture was fulfilled.(Isaiah
53:12), which says, And he was numbered with the transgressors.
And they that passed by railed on him, wagging their heads and saying,
Ah, you that destroys the temple and build it in three days,
Mark
15:30 Save yourself and come down from the cross..(John
18:37; Romans 14:9)
Mark
15:31-32 Likewise also the chief priests mocking
said among themselves with the scribes, He saved others; himself he cannot
save. Let Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we
may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him reviled him.
Mark
15:33 And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the
whole land until the ninth hour.
Mark
15:34 And at the ninth hour Emmanuel cried with a loud voice, saying,
Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God,
why have you forsaken me?
Emmanuel
knew the Father would never forsake Him (?);
what He was saying was 'why am I still on this cross, because I finished
the work you gave me to do?'.John
5:36-46; John 19:30. But this
was prophesied
in the Old Testament in Psalms 22:1.
And why was He still on the cross? Because in this moment, the Father,
the Great Infinite One, who designed His great plan of salvation for all
humanity (John 3:16,17), looked away
from His beloved son, of which all true spiritual individuals are now
equal with. He looked away, thinking 'My Son finished the work I gave
Him to do and upon Him now is placed all the death of all humanity for
all the wrongs done and wrongs that still will be done, so that in
spite of that, nothing can ever come between Me and them again.
The
accuser can no longer accuse Him, nor those Emmanuel's death covers:.John
14:30. God is saying, 'My Son destroyed sin, so sin
will never again count against anyone in a relationship with Me':.2Corinthians
5:21. Nothing
now can keep anyone out of being a member of the God
family who believes in what My Son has done and this was planned before
humanity was on Earth:.2Timothy
1:9. In this moment of Emmanuel's death, the Father was seeing the
completion of His plan for all humanity. All sin for all time has been
placed upon His Son, making
us free, that is, free in Christ and this means out of the low
consciousness we came here to go through for experience and into the
higher consciousness of love.
Emmanuel felt
this separation from Creator-Father because of all sin forever being placed
on Him, because Creator-Father will
not coexist with sin or anyone in sin and that all means any sins
you may still cause are covered. So, our life purpose is to move from our
low consciousness and into that higher consciousness, called love.
Being
in Christ takes one out of the realm
of evil for all time, so one now has the help to live a spiritual life
toward its significant.rewards.
Mark
15:35 And some of them that stood by, when they heard it, said, Behold,
he calls Elias.
Elias
is the Greek form (New
Testament written in Greek) of Elijah.
The Old
Testament was written in Hebrew
in the original.
Mark
15:36 And one ran and filled a spunge full of vinegar and put it on
a reed and gave him to drink, saying, Let alone; let us see whether Elias
will come to take him down.
Mark
15:37 And Emmanuel cried with a loud voice and gave up the ghost.
Mark
15:38 And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to
the bottom.
Mark
15:39 And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that
he so cried out and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the
Son of God.
Mark
15:40 There were also women looking on afar off, among whom was Mary
Magdalene and Mary the mother of James
the less and of Joses and Salome.(wife
of Zebedee, mother of James
the elder and John);
Mark
15:41 Who also, when he was in Galilee, followed him and ministered
unto him and many other women which came up with him unto Jerusalem.
Mark
15:42 And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation,
that is, the day before the sabbath,
Mark
15:43 Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable counsellor, which also waited
for the kingdom of God, came and went in boldly unto Pilate and craved.(original
'asked'; why the dumb translators would choose the word 'craved' is anybody's
guess or maybe
it was those who changed the wording much later).the
body of Emmanuel.
Mark
15:44 And Pilate marvelled if he were already dead and calling unto
him the centurion, he asked him whether he had been any while dead.
Mark
15:45 And when he knew it of the centurion, he gave the body to Joseph.
Mark
15:46 And he bought fine linen and took him down and wrapped him in
the linen and laid him in a sepulchre.(burial
vault).which was hewn out of
a rock and rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre.
Mark
15:47 And Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses beheld where
he was laid.
Mark
16:1 And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene and Mary the
mother of James and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might
come and anoint him.
Mark
16:2 And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they
came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.
Mark
16:3 And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone
from the door of the sepulchre?
Mark
16:4 And when they looked, they saw that the stone was already rolled
away, for it was very great.
Mark
16:5-7 And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting
on the right side, clothed in a long white garment and they were affrighted.
And he said unto them, Be not affrighted. You seek Emmanuel of Nazareth,
which was crucified. He is risen. He is not here. Behold the place where
they laid him. But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goes
before you into Galilee. There shall you see him as he said unto you.
Mark
16:8 And they went out quickly and fled from the sepulchre, for they
trembled and were amazed. Neither said they any thing to any man, for they
were afraid.
Mark
16:9 Now when Emmanuel was risen.early
the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out
of whom he had cast seven devils.
Mark
16:10,11 And she went and told them that had been with him, as they
mourned and wept...And they, when they had heard that he was alive and
had been seen of her, believed not.
Mark
16:12,13 After that he appeared in another form.(in
the higher consciousness nothing
is impossible).unto two
of them, as they walked and went into the country...And they went and
told it unto the residue. Neither believed they them.
Mark
16:14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat.(food,
eating).and upbraided
them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not
them which had seen him after he was risen.
Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go
you into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
Mark
16:15 And he said unto them, Go you into
all the world and preach the
gospel to every creature.
One of the
first things Christ wanted them to do was to get the message to others.
Why?.Romans
8:1,2; 8:39; 2Corinthians
2:14.
Why get the
message to others?.Isaiah
25:7. Getting the message that caused quite the stir among people back
then.(*),
means to tell others, but how? The original word for 'preach'
in the original is also 'herald',
'publish' and so means to reach others and there are ways to do this and
ways not to. Before you can reach others and therefore be an impetus
for them also to partake
in getting the good news of what the kingdom
of God really means, out to even more others, one has to first build
his or her own foundation:.1Corinthians
3:10,11; Ephesians 2:19-22;
Hebrews
6:1,2. How does one build his or her foundation?.1,
2..(*)
So, once the
foundation of God is built in you, how to get it to others, if one's heart
is inclined to do this? The disciples were told to go into all the world
and they did:.verse
20 below, but something wasn't correct. What was it?
The main disciples
were assured that they would be protected, but all of them except John
were martyred.
Where was the protection they were promised?.Luke
10:19.
What
was missing and did the disciples take off to fulfill the commission
Christ gave them to 'go into all the world' with His message, without much
thinking about it? They were believers! They were, as
they say, 'gung
ho' individuals.
Mark
16:16 He that believes and is
baptized shall be saved, but he that believes not shall be damned.
Original
for 'damned' is 'separated according to his belief':.Mark
3:29. That is, it's his own beliefs that separate him and how great
the separation from the spiritual pathway is depends on him. Some people
are much more obstinate
than others. Unbelief is a fatal flaw, as it locks
one out of the reality of the good things in the spiritual world, because
belief
is the key to unlocking them. Without it, one just continues on being
subject to the
influences
of the mass mind of humanity and thus,
in the low consciousness 3rd dimensional.state
of living dead.
Baptism has
changed from the physical to the spiritual:.Hebrews
5:14-6:3.
Mark
16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall
they cast out devils; they shall speak with new
tongues;
Mark
16:18 They will take up serpents.(Acts
28:2-6).and if they drink
any deadly thing, it will not hurt them. They will lay hands on the
sick and they'll recover.
It's
if one is in an untoward
situation, he can trust God will protect him. It's not a trying God to
prove that this stuff works, for that would preclude.faith:.Matthew
4:7. What about this 'laying hands on the sick' today?.Hebrews
6:1,2. So we grow as we go along in life, that is, if we are of a mind
to, that is, having made the choice to:.Isaiah
28:10.
Mark
16:19 So then after Christ had spoken unto them.(the
disciples:.Matthew
10:1-4), he was received
up into heaven and sat on the right hand of God the Father.
He
appeared like smoke from a chimney rising for a short while and then is
absorbed
into the nothingness, becoming invisible.
'On the right hand of God'..Barnes
Notes: This phrase is taken from the manner of speaking among people
at the time and means that he was exalted to honour and power in the heavens.
It was esteemed the place of the highest honor to be seated at the right
hand of a prince. So, to be seated at the right hand of God, means only
that Emmanuel is exalted to the highest honor of the universe:.Ephesians
1:20,21. Acts 7:55,56.
Mark
16:20 And they went forth and preached everywhere.(but,
it would have been more powerful and with far less problems if they had
reached out this way:.verse
15 above), the
Lord working with them confirming the word with signs following.
