Isaiah 15:1 The burden of Moab. Because in the night Ar of Moab is laid waste and brought to silence, because in the night Kir of Moab is laid waste and brought to silence.
JFB Commentary: 'Ar' in Hebrew language means 'the city', the metropolis of Moab, on the south of the river Arnon.
Barnes Notes: the country was originally occupied by race of giants called Emim whom the Moabites conquered and expelled.

Isaiah 16:6,7 We have heard of the pride of Moab. He is very proud even of his haughtiness and his pride and his wrath, but his lies shall not be so. Therefore shall Moab howl for Moab, every one shall howl, for the foundations of Kirhareseth shall you mourn; surely they are stricken.

Isaiah 16:14 But now God has spoken, saying, Within three years, as the years of an hireling and the glory of Moab shall be contemned, with all that great multitude and the remnant shall be very small and feeble.

Isaiah 17:1 The burden of Damascus.(a leading stronghold of the ancient Syrians). Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city and it shall be a ruinous heap.

Isaiah 17:7 At that day shall a man look to his Maker and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel.
The day being talked of here is anytime when individuals leave off spirituality for selfish pursuits not taking into consideration the temporality of the selfish pathway.
Isaiah 17:10,11 Because you have forgotten the God of your salvation and have not been mindful of the rock of your strength, therefore shall you plant pleasant plants and shall set it with strange slips.(twigs). In the day shall you make your plant to grow and in the morning shall you make your seed to flourish, but the harvest shall be a heap in the day of grief and of desperate sorrow.
All one's work turns out to be for nothing.
Isaiah 17:12 Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters!

Isaiah 17:13 The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters, but God shall rebuke them and they shall flee far off and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind.
Psalms 83:13-15.

What's to fear with the Creator at your rear?.Isaiah 52:12.

Isaiah 17:14 And behold at eveningtide trouble and before the morning he is not This is the portion of them that spoil us and the lot of them that rob us.
Isaiah 17:14 And behold at eveningtide trouble and before the morning he is not.(comprised with.Barnes Notes: He is not' meaning 'he is destroyed'. The Creator sent an angel who destroyed all of those coming against the ancient good king Hezekiah {that is, once Hezekiah learned his lesson}; the destruction of the army of Sennacherib on that fatal night when the angel of the Lord killed 185,000 men:.Isaiah 37:36). This is the portion.(portion refers to an amount, that is they reap upon themselves what they were like to others or, what happens to them is in like kind of their treatment to others:.Jeremiah 13:10,18,25).of them that spoil.(original word alludes to 'being in process of taking from others').us and the lot of them that rob us.(or, have robbed us).
Isaiah 18:6 They shall be left together unto the fowls of the mountains and to the beasts of the Earth and the fowls shall summer upon them and all the beasts of the Earth shall winter upon them.

Isaiah 19:3 And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof and I will destroy the counsel thereof and they shall seek to the idols.(of which they had many).and to the charmers and to them that have familiar spirits and to the wizards.

Isaiah 19:4 And the Egyptians will I give over into the hand of a cruel lord and a fierce king shall rule over them, says God.

Isaiah 19:13 The princes of Zoan.are become fools, the princes of Noph are deceived. They have also seduced Egypt, even they that are the stay of the tribes thereof.

Isaiah 19:14 God has mingled a perverse spirit in the midst thereof. And they have caused Egypt to err in every work thereof, as a drunken man staggers in his vomit.
Isaiah 19:14 God has mingled a perverse.(original for 'perverse' is 'distorted', 'warping', 'bent'; nothing they did worked out as they had hoped, because their minds didn't somehow take all things into consideration that they needed to know about).spirit in the midst thereof. And they have caused Egypt to err in every work thereof, as a drunken man staggers in his vomit.
Isaiah 29:18 In that day shall five cities in the land of Egypt speak the language of Canaan; one shall be called, The city of destruction.

Isaiah 19:20,21 And it shall be for a sign and for a witnessing of God in the land of Egypt.(Egyptian bondage), for they shall cry unto God because of the oppressors and he shall send them a savior.(this was Moses).and deliver them. And God shall be known to Egypt.(Egypt typifies the low consciousness of humanity wanting nothing to do with the true God of all creation:.Jeremiah 44:16,17).and the Egyptians shall know God in that day.("in that day".refers also to the time of another and greater savior, Christ:.Isaiah 53:2-6; Zechariah 14:9).and shall do sacrifice.and oblation, yea, they shall vow a vow unto God and perform it..(what sacrifice today?)

Isaiah 19:22 And God shall smite Egypt. He shall smite and heal it.(?). And they shall return to God and he shall be intreated of them and shall heal them.

Isaiah 19:23 In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt and the Egyptian into Assyria and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians.

Isaiah 19:24,25 In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land, Whom the God shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people and Assyria the work of my hands and Israel mine inheritance.
Barnes Notes:."That is, the three shall be united as one people. Instead of being rival, hostile and contending kingdoms, they shall be united and friendly and instead of having different and jarring.religions, they shall all worship the same one and only true God. The prophecy.rather refers to the spread of the truth and the worship of the true God, than to a political or civil alliance.".All the political and civil machinations are gone and these three will be a source of blessing to the world, an example of the goodness of God upon them that other nations will notice and want the same thing. It's speaking of better conditions on Earth for all are being available for nations to adopt. The two major nations of old known for corruptness, cruelty and violence have now changed, becoming examples for other nations to follow. They will all be spiritual and Israel will be right there high in spirituality. It'll be spiritual nations, that is, physical people, but of spirituality.
Isaiah 20:1 In the year that Tartan.(2Kings 18:17).came unto Ashdod, when Sargon-II the king of Assyria sent him and fought against the city of Ashdod and took it.

Isaiah 20:4 So shall the king of Assyria lead away the Egyptians prisoners and the Ethiopians captives, young and old, naked and barefoot, even with their buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt.

Isaiah 21:6 For this has God said unto me, Go set a watchman.(Ezekiel 33:1-10).who will declare what he sees.

Isaiah 21:13 The burden upon Arabia. In the forest in Arabia shall you lodge with your traveling companies of Dedanim.
Matthew Poole's Commentary: It was getting increasingly difficult to do their trading in Arabia, as they had to now sleep outside with those from other groups.

As one follows God, things get easier not harder.

Isaiah 22:13,14 And behold joy and gladness, slaying oxen and killing sheep, eating flesh and drinking wine, let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die.(a 'who gives a damn' party attitude toward life). And it was revealed in mine ears by God, Surely this iniquity shall not be purged from you till you die.(and in Christ, we are dead), said God.

Isaiah 22:15 Thus says God, Go, get youself unto this treasurer, even unto Shebna, which is over the house and say,

Isaiah 22:16-19 What have you here and whom have you here, that you have hewed out a sepulchre here, as he that hews him out a sepulchre on high and that graves an habitation for himself in a rock? Behold, God will carry you away with a mighty captivity.(2Chronicles 36:10).and will surely cover you. He will surely violently turn and toss you like a ball into a large country. There shall you die and there the chariots of your glory shall be the shame of your lord's house. And I will drive you from your station and from your state you will be pulled down.

Isaiah 22:22 And the key of the house of David.(Revelation 3:7).will I lay upon his shoulder, so he shall open and none shall shut and he shall shut and none shall open.
The 'he' being him who God would use to do this:.Isaiah 9:6.

Barnes Notes: a key is that by which a house is locked or opened. To possess that is, therefore, to have free access to it or control over it. Thus we give possession of a house by giving the 'key' into the hands of a purchaser, implying that it is his, that he has free access to it, that he can close it when he pleases and that no other one, without his permission, has the right of access to it. He who had the key to that palace had regal authority.

David built his royal residence, the palace, on the Mount Zion. To have the key of that house was to have the chief authority at court or to be prime minister:.Isaiah 22:15. To be put in possession of that key, therefore, was the mark of office or was a sign that he was entrusted with the chief authority in the government.

Isaiah 23rd chapter
1 The burden of Tyre. Howl, you ships of Tarshish for it is laid waste so that there is no house no entering in. From the land of Chittim it is revealed to them.
2 Be still you inhabitants of the isle. Thou whom the merchants of Zidon that pass over the sea have replenished.
3 And by great waters the seed of Sihor, the harvest of the river, is her revenue and she is a mart of nations.
4 Be thou ashamed, O Zidon, for the sea hath spoken, even the strength of the sea, saying, I travail not, nor bring forth children, neither do I nourish up young men nor bring up virgins.
5 As at the report concerning Egypt, so shall they be sorely pained at the report of Tyre.
6 Pass you over to Tarshish. Howl, you inhabitants of the isle.
7 Is this your joyous city, whose antiquity is of ancient days? Her own feet shall carry her afar off to sojourn.
8 Who hath taken this counsel against Tyre, the crowning city, whose merchants are princes, whose traffickers are the honourable of the Earth?
9 God has purposed it, to stain the pride of all glory and to bring into contempt all the honourable of the Earth.
10 Pass through thy land as a river, O daughter of Tarshish: there is no more strength.
11 He stretched out his hand over the sea, he shook the kingdoms. God has given a commandment against the merchant city, to destroy the strong holds thereof.
12 And he said, Thou shalt no more rejoice, O thou oppressed virgin, daughter of Zidon. Arise, pass over to Chittim; there also shalt thou have no rest.
13 Behold the land of the Chaldeans. This people was not, till the Assyrian founded it for them that dwell in the wilderness. They set up the towers thereof, they raised up the palaces thereof and he brought it to ruin.
14 Howl, you ships of Tarshish for your strength is laid waste.
15 And it shall come to pass in that day, that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king. After the end of seventy years shall Tyre sing as an harlot.
16 Take an harp, go about the city, thou harlot that hast been forgotten; make sweet melody, sing many songs, that thou mayest be remembered.
17 And it shall come to pass after the end of seventy years, that God will visit Tyre and she shall turn to her hire and shall commit fornication with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the Earth.
18 And her merchandise and her hire shall be holiness to the Lord. It shall not be treasured nor laid up, for her merchandise shall be for them that dwell before God, to eat sufficiently and for durable clothing.

Isaiah 24:4 For you have been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.
More on the poor amongst you:.John 12:8.
Isaiah 24:11 There is a crying for wine in the streets.(things are so sad that some sop is needed to carry on in life); all joy is darkened, the mirth of the land is gone.

Isaiah 24:21 And it shall come to pass in that day, that God shall punish.(original is not 'punish', but 'attend to', to 'give specific attention to', that is, to correct {Hebrews 12:5-9}, but they always have free choice to accept or reject; God doesn't 'punish' per se, that is, 'just to punish'; God corrects; but something does punish, what is it?).the host.(all of them).of the high ones, the kings upon the Earth.
Isaiah 13:11 "And I will punish the world for evil done and the wicked for their iniquity and I will cause the arrogance of the proud to cease and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible."
Isaiah 24:23 Then the moon shall be confounded and the sun ashamed when God reigns in mount Zion and in Jerusalem and before his ancients gloriously.
Speaking of those ancients long having since passed on.
Isaiah 25:7 And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people and the vail that is spread over all nations.
Isaiah 25:7 And he will destroy.(original 'swallow up'; the light swallows up darkness).in this mountain.(what's a mountain?.Isaiah 65:11).the face of the covering.(can't see clearly enough through the vail to the other side of it; one can only see the front of the vail facing him:.2Corinthians 3:16).cast over all people and the vail that is spread over all nations.

The face of the covering may be gone, but it's affect remains on the minds of those having been programmed by it, just as fleas. Is that a reason why the cabal thinks of people as so far below them to be as insects?

Fleas in a jar with a lid on continue to jump up to get out. But they can't because of the lid on the jar. After a few days, they give up trying to. They have been successfully conditioned to not waste their energy trying. Now, you can take the lid off and they won't jump all the way up to where the lid was.

What is this covering, this veil?.'Veil' is mostly a New Testament spelling, but sometimes used this way in the Old Testament when referring to a physical covering, as in.Song of Solomon 5:7.

Virtually all, including the first man Adam,.have been deceived.into believing that things as are seen are what they have always been like:.Revelation 12:9. Thus are they covered as if with a vail and that because of what is pumped out from the mass mind through the corrupt controlled media; deception, destruction, depression and death, so people remain in this quandary, covered and away from reality, bound to the blindness that has engulfed them:.Romans 11:25

The plan of the Old Testament was to write the lesson of history, that is, up to the time of Christ on Earth, who became the pivotal point of history as the New Testament shows. These ancient words here in Isaiah predicted the veil which covers peoples' minds keeping them blinded (Luke 8:10), as it were, from truth, would be lifted. But the satanically corrupted media, listening as it were, to the dark side frequencies, carry on the old line of fear, misery, disappointments, sickness, any ways toward death.

Isaiah 25:8 He will swallow up death in victory and God will wipe away tears from off all faces and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the Earth. For God has spoken it.
Isaiah 25:8 He will swallow up death in victory.(original 'death is swallowed up in victory' {how} and some translations have for word 'victory', 'forever', meaning no more death.and there never was death for those saved at the beginning:.2Timothy 1:9).and God will wipe away tears from off all faces.(no more tears).and the rebuke.(reproach, scorn; because of what the cabal has done on Earth, many think that someone with spirituality is strange:.1Peter 4:4; 1Corinthians 1:26; 15:54,55).of his people shall he take away from off all the Earth. For God has spoken it..(when?)

Revelation 21:1 "And I saw a new heaven and a new Earth, for the first heaven and the first Earth were passed away..."
Revelation 21:4 "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away."

Isaiah 26:3 You wil keep.(the word 'keep' in the original also has with it 'guard', 'watch over'; is God able to do this?).him in perfect peace.(word 'perfect' not in original; simply means that if your heart is toward God, you'll have peace in your life), whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.
Original is 'hidden peace in the imagination sets trust'.

Verse is talking about one who looks to God for guidance and help in life, just as you would have when a kid, look to your parents for guidance and help because you trust them.

Isaiah 26:4 Trust you in God for ever, for in Jehovah is everlasting strength.

Isaiah 26:5 For he brings down them that dwell on high. The lofty city, he lays it low, even to the ground. He brings it to the dust.

Isaiah 26:7 The way of the just is uprightness. You, most upright, weighs the path of the just..(*)

Isaiah 26:9 With my soul have I desired you in the night. Yea, with my spirit within me will I seek you early, for when your judgments are in the Earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.
"For when your judgments".the thoughts of the Infinite One are set, that is, His thoughts are the laws that are the set patterns of the universe including what works for humanity's purpose and in this regard the greatest set pattern in the invisible that we can align with and bring forth within us is this righteousness.
Isaiah 26:10 If favor is showed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness. In the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly and will not behold the majesty of God..(?).(*)

Isaiah 26:14 They are dead, they shall not live. They are deceased. They shall not rise. Therefore have you visited and destroyed them and made all their memory to perish.
Isaiah 26:14 They are dead, they shall not live.(Adam Clarke's Commentary:."speaking of the great lords and tyrants, under whom they had groaned"). They are deceased. They shall not rise. Therefore have you visited and destroyed them and made all their memory to perish.

They have gone from the physical and others, as time passes, have now forgotten about them.

Isaiah 26:19 Your dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, you that dwell in dust for your dew is as the dew of herbs and the Earth shall cast out the dead.
As the original has it:.'The dead live, carcasses stand. Awake and sing, you who dwell in the dust (their bodies had turned to dust) for your dew (dust covered with dew) and herbs (original for 'herbs' is 'light'; a way of saying that what was left of you has light, that is, the original pattern is always there) casts away from the Earth (dust) death'.
Isaiah 26:20,21 Come, my people, enter you into your chambers and shut your doors about you. Hide yourself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. For, behold, the Lord comes out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the Earth for their iniquity. The Earth also shall disclose her blood and shall no more cover her slain.
Isaiah 26:20,21 Come, my people, enter you into your chambers and shut your doors about you. Hide yourself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. For, behold, the Lord comes out of his place to punish.(on the word punish; closer to the original, from Rotherham's Translation:."For lo! Yahweh, is coming forth out of his place to visit the iniquity.(reap and sow is an automatic multiversal law).of Earth's inhabitants upon him...".the Creator does not punish; how it all works; the original word 'punish' used in this verse is 'number' and 'attend to'; things are attended to by the universal laws setup at the beginning of the physical universe; neither the Creator nor anyone in the family is personally out to weigh the deeds of humanity and inflict punishment {*}, even though man's deeds are weighed:.Isaiah 26:7; Daniel 5:24-29).the inhabitants of the Earth for their iniquity. The Earth also shall disclose her blood and shall no more cover her slain.(nothing evil is hidden for long).

Barnes Notes: The address is to the people of Judah in captivity.(2Chronicles 36:10).in Babylon.(*). The tempest that would rage would be the wars and commotionsby which Babylon was to be overthrown. While that storm raged, they were advised to be calm and serene. "enter you into your chambers and shut your doors about you.".Here the storm of indignation on your enemies shall not reach or affect you. Hide yourself as it were. Do not mingle in the scenes of battle, lest you should partake of the general.calamity

"For a little moment".implying that the war would not rage long. Babylon was taken by Cyrus in a single night (Isaiah chapters 13 & 14) and the call here is for the people of God to be calm while this battle should rage in which the city should be taken.

"Until the indignation be overpast".that is, the storm of God's indignation against the enemies, the Babylonians who held the people captive. That would be soon overpast and the city would be taken, the storms of war would cease to rage and then they would be delivered and might safely return to their own land, as the conqueror of Babylon, Cyrus did.

Isaiah 27:1 In that day the Lord with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan.(Job 41:1-9).the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.

Isaiah 27:13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria and the outcasts in the land of Egypt and shall worship the Lord in the holy mount at Jerusalem.

Isaiah 28th chapter..Barnes Notes: The prophecy consists of two parts:

1. The overthrow of ancient Samaria or Ephraim:.verses 1-4.

2. The fact that God would preserve and defend a portion of his people, those who at this time back them comprises the kingdom of Judah:.verses 5-29

The following brief view will present an analysis of the prophecy:

I Ephraim or Samaria, for its sins, particularly for intemperance, would be overthrown:.verses 1-4

II God would preserve the residue of his people, yet they also deserved rebuke and would be also subjected to severe correction, to turn their heart to God:.verses 5-29.

1. He would preserve them and be their glory and strength:.verses 5,6.

2. Yet they deserved, on many accounts, to be reproved, particularly because many even of the priests and prophets were corrupt:.verses 7,8.

3. They also disregarded the messengers of God and treated their messages with contempt and scorn, as being vain repetitions and a mere stammering:.verses 9-13.

4. They regarded themselves as safe, since they were firm and united and had as it were made a league with death:.verses 14,15.

5. God, in view of their sins, threatens them with deserved rebukes:.verses 16-21. This would occur in the following manner:

(a) He would lay in Zion a corner stone, tried and precious and all that regarded that should be safe:.verse 16.

(b) Yet heavy judgments would come upon the guilty and the unbelieving. Judgment would be laid to the line and the storms of divine vengeance would sweep away their false refuges and their covenant with death should not avail them:.verses 17-21.

(c) The people are therefore admonished to attend to this, for the destruction was determined upon the whole land:.verse 21.

The Bible is a book of attitudes and thus equally applies for today.

Isaiah 28:1 Woe to the crown of pride, the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which are on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine!
They join with others of the same mind for a drunken orgy.
Isaiah 28:2-4 Behold, the Lord has a mighty and strong one, which as a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to the Earth with the hand. The crown of pride, the drunkards of Ephraim, shall be trodden under feet. And the glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fat valley shall be a fading flower and as the hasty fruit before the summer, which when he that looks upon it sees and while it is yet in his hand he eats it up.
Drunk, confident, stupid and hasty because the man or woman thinks, everything is all right for me and that, right now. He or she feels on top of it all and thinks he is like a God..(*).(*)
Isaiah 28:5,6 In that day shall the Lord of hosts be for a crown of glory and for a diadem of beauty, unto the residue of his people. And for a spirit of judgment to him that sits in judgment and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate..(*)

Isaiah 28:7,8 But they also have through wine and through strong drink are out of the way. The priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine. They are out of the way through strong drink. They err in vision, they stumble in judgment. For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean..(*)

Isaiah 28:9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? And whom shall he make to understand doctrine? Them that are weaned from the milk and drawn from the breasts.
1John 2:12-14.
Isaiah 28:10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little and there a little..(*)

Isaiah 28:11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people..(*)
Isaiah 28:11 For with stammering.(original for 'stammering' is 'mocking', here being spiritual things are foolishness to the unawakened {1Corinthians 1:18-31; 2:9,14} to those who view them from a low consciousness outlook).lips.(or language; mocking language would be, your ego).and another tongue will he speak to this people.

God 'speaks' to us in the still and quiet, welling.higher consciousness things up to our minds, but people of common consciousness just don't get it, just don't comprehend it:.Proverbs 14:6.

Isaiah 28:12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith you may cause the weary to rest and this is the refreshing, yet they would not hear..(*)
Jeremiah 44:16,17; 1Corinthians 1:18-21; 2:14; Acts 3:19.

Because of this not accepting God.(*), they constantly focused on those things that kept the wholeness of God from affecting them:.Acts 3:19.

Isaiah 28:13 But the word of God was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little and there a little; that they might go and fall backward and be broken and snared and taken..(*)
Isaiah 28:13 But the word of God was unto them.(because they were not at a higher consciousness level).precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little and there a little; that they might go and fall backward and be broken and snared and taken.
Matthew 7:13,14 "Enter you in at the strait gate, for wide is the gate and broad is]the way, that leads to destruction and many there be which go in thereat. Because strait is the gate and narrow is the way, which leads unto life and few there be that find it."
Matthew 19:24 "And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God."

The common low consciousness level is the lock that prevents one from entering the high consciousness realm, even though that realm is open to all aspiringto a higher consciousness:.Acts 17:30.

Isaiah 28:14 Wherefore hear the word of God, you scornful men that rule.this people which is in Jerusalem.
Isaiah 28:14 Wherefore hear the word of God, you scornful men that rule.(scornfulness is arrogance).this people which is in Jerusalem..(*)

What does this refer to today?

Isaiah 28:15 Because you have said, We have made a covenant with death.(by their conduct they {who's they} were effectively saying this:.Matthew 7:16-20).and with hell are we at agreement.(the attirude of the satanic ones is 'we'll darn well live the life we decide to':.Jeremiah 44:16,17). And you have said, When the overflowing scourge shall pass through it won't harm us, because we have made lies our refuge and under falsehood have we hid ourselves..(*)
Who can really hide?
Isaiah 28:16 Therefore thus says God, Behold, I lay in Zion a foundation stone.(1Peter 2:6), a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation. He that believes shall not make haste..(*)
"Not make haste".because he rests in calm assurance. How can an individual be like this?.Romans 8:28.
Isaiah 28:17-20 Judgment also will I lay to the line and righteousness to the plummet.(original 'weight of the upper door post; the lintel; as a carpenter carefully measures all in what he does).and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies and the waters shall overflow the hiding place. And your covenant with death shall be disannulled and your agreement with hell shall not stand.(decided to live the life of evil as these people Janet Ossebaard reports about). When the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then you shall be trodden down by it. From the time that it goes forth it shall take you. For morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night and it shall be a vexation only to comprehend the report.(you won't know why these things are occurring because you're in the consciousness of evil). For the bed is shorter than that a man can stretch himself on it and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself in it.(you are vexed by your daily life)..(*)

Isaiah 28:21 For the Lord shall rise up as in mount Perazim. He shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work and bring to pass his act, his strange act..(*)
Barnes Notes:."as in mount Perazim".is a reference to the event recorded in 2Samuel 5:20,21 and 1Chronicles 14:11, where David is said to have defeated the Philistines at Baal-Perazim. This place was near to the valley of Rephaim, not far from Jerusalem. The word 'Perazim' is means 'to tear', 'to break forth', as waters do that have been confined and is indicative of sudden judgment and of a complete overthrow. It was on that account given to the place where David obtained a signal and complete victory and it is here referred to denoting that God would come forth in a sudden manner to destroy Jerusalem and Judea. He would come upon them like bursting waters and sweep them away to a distant land.

As in the valley of Gibeon in 1Chronicles 14:16, it is said that after the victory of Baal-Perazim, David smote the host of the Philistines from from Gibeon even to Gazer.

Isaiah 28:22 Now therefore be you not mockers, lest your bands be made strong.(jack themselves up by their own bootstraps). For I have heard from the Lord God of hosts a consumption, even determined upon the whole Earth.
