Acts 3:1 Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

Acts 3:2 And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful.(why was this gate called 'Beautiful'?; the gate was at the eastern entrance of the temple and commonly called Suzan).to ask alms of them that entered into the temple,

Acts 3:3-9 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked an alms. And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John said, Look on us. And he gave heed unto them expecting to receive something of them. Then Peter said silver and gold have I none but such as I have give I you. In the name of Emmanuel of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood and walked and entered with them into the temple walking and leaping and praising God. And all the people saw him walking and praising God.

Acts 3:10 And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.

Acts 3:11 And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon's, greatly wondering.
The gate they called Beautiful (verse 2 above) was on the east side of the temple and close to what was known as Solomon's porch:.John 10:23.
Acts 3:12 And when Peter saw it he answered unto the people You men of Israel why marvel you at this? or why look you so earnestly on us as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?

Acts 3:13 The God of Abraham and of Isaac and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his Son Emmanuel whom you delivered up and denied him in the presence of Pilate when he was determined to let him go.

Acts 3:14 But you denied the Holy One and the Just.(the One who came to Earth in the person of Emmanuel who became the Christ).and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;

Acts 3:15 And killed the Prince of life.(who really killed Emmanuel?).whom God had raised from the dead whereof we are witnesses.

Acts 3:16 And his name through faith in his name has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yea, the faith which is by him.(the faith of Christ).has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

Acts 3:17 And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance you did it, as did also your rulers.

Acts 3:18 But those things, which God before had shown by the mouth of all his prophets including that Christ should suffer.(1Peter 2:20,21), he has so fulfilled.

Acts 3:19 Repent you therefore and be converted, so that your sins are blotted out because of that time of refreshing made possible by the presence of the Lord.
Acts 3:19 Repent.(means to decide to change).you therefore and be converted.(converted means to turn to God, away from the ordinary consciousness we all came here with {Romans 5:21}, the ordinary consciousness which leads us nowhere spiritually and instead, toward death, which it's supposed to do, as we are here to learn on this world stage), so that your sins are.(no 'may be' about it; 'may be' is better translated 'wll be').blotted out.(because you don't want anything to do with the old harmful ways anymore {1Timothy 6:12 "Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto you are also called.[that's why you are called and how is it that you are called?]..."}; but what if you just don't want anything to do with all this now?), because of that time of refreshing.(John 10:28).made possible by the presence of the Lord..(note that refeshing comes from the presence of the Lord with an individual)
Acts 3:20 And he shall send Emmanuel the Christ, which before was preached unto you.

Acts 3:21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

Acts 3:22 For Moses truly said.(Deuteronomy 18:18,19).unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren.(referring to Emmanuel), like unto me. Him shall you hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.
How does one 'hear' what this Emmanuel, now the risen Christ, say to us?
Acts 3:23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear.(not interested, such as the low consciousness ones in the Old Testament were like:.Jeremiah 44:16,17).that prophet.(so, talking of one in position of influence over others to their detriment), shall be destroyed from among the people.
But not destroyed forever.
Acts 3:24 Yea and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.

Acts 3:25 You are the children of the prophets and of the covenant which God made with our fathers by saying unto Abraham.(Genesis 12:1-7; 18:18,19), 'And in your seed shall all the kindreds of the Earth be blessed'.
We all are today Abraham's seed spiritually (how?) and all have the blessing, but like fifty dollars lost in the bottom of a purse, it does you no good if you're unware of it.
Acts 3:26 Unto you first, God having raised up his Son Emmanuel, sent him to bless.you, in turning away.(2Corinthians 6:16).every one of you from his iniquities.
