-What is the fear
of the Lord?
The original Hebrew and Greek
words mean much the same. They mean 'fear of an awesome and terrifying
thing'. And the Creator, though of love.(1John
4:8), is also very powerful and
terrifying.
You work for someone. You
have a 'fear' of those above you. This helps keep you from being careless
in your work and being dismissed. But you may go out with the boss, may
even get to go
to his house for dinner, may even become good friends and as you get to
know each other well, the fear is replaced with a friendly
warm
relationship of respect. This love (*)
is
now the impetus
and not fear.
This scripture may help with
the 'fear of God' idea:.Proverbs
8:13 "The fear of the Lord is to hate evil. Pride, arrogance, the evil
way and the froward mouth, do I hate."
When two people are getting
to know each other, they too are conscious and careful of doing things
just right. At this point they each stand to gain and they both fear to
screw it up, fear here being a great respect for each others. As they grow
in love and affection and trust of each other, comfort sets in and they
become more alike. The fear that once was is gone, replaced by an attitude
of wanting to please each other, instead of having to in
order to maintain the relationship.
The fear of what God can
do coupled with the tenderness of His mercy, helps you to depart from evil
and you grow in understanding of this Great Infinite Intelligence. When
you are one with someone, there is no fear, because you are basically both
of the same attitude:.Philippians
2:5,6; Proverbs 16:6; 14:27.
If your heart's desire
is to always do the best spiritually, for yourself and for others, you
are departing from evil:.Proverbs
3:7;
16:17. If you love the
things of a higher consciousness, you are departing from evil. God does
not want you to be in fear of Him; He does not fear you and He only can
have a relationship with equals.
Dealing with evil things
all around you requires some wisdom: Amos
5:13.
-Who/what created God?
Psalms
90:2 "Before the mountains were brought forth or ever you had formed
the Earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, you are
God."
With humans, everything we
see has beginning and an end. Creator-God exists outside of time, being
eternal:.Acts
17:24.
We see birth and
death,
structures planned and built and demolished,
things bought and disposed
off, etc.
Comprehending
Creator-God is comprehending eternity, timelessness, space and most
important of all, comprehension of oneself inside, in your
soul, where no beginning and no end ever will apply.(*);
instead, continuous existence and experience, so, let's get good
at it:.Isaiah
46:4,5,10; 57:15; 1Corinthians
2:11,12; Romans 1:20.
Where did God come from and
who
made God? Creator-God has always been and located as the
Silence. At this our minds stop cold. But we can 'see' God through
purposeful.design.
The world is crafted with great
precision. Who made it that way?
Scientists are thrilled when
they discover ancient tools as they elicit
the fact of design by intelligence.
All of us can easily agree
when we see a technical marvel,
such as automobiles, airplanes, computers, televisions, cellphones &
telephones, beautiful buildings, etc., that these are not the result of
an explosion of metals and rocks somehow assembling themselves into the
products of today. This explanation is akin
to the ludicrous
theory of evolution,
being elaboration
for those accepting sin
vacilar.concoctions
regarding the beginning of organisms of life. Rather
than such confusion of randomness,
we know intelligence
produces intricacy
of design. We are not stupid and yet are presented in schools with concepts
evidencing idiocy.
All these amazingly helpful
technologies come about as a result of what God
has designed and that includes the awe
inspiring design of man.
With the Creator there was
no beginning and never will there be an end. God was not the 'first'. To
be called the 'first', presupposes
that before this, was nothing. There was never nothing.
The Creator is eternal. He
has always existed. There has always been existence. There was no 'before'
Him. There never has been any 'before'. In eternity exists no
time. All just is. At this our finite minds hesitate:.Ecclesiastes
3:11. Just as it is easy for us to think of beginnings and finishings,
God's awareness of that which we accept as being temporary, is eternal.
All the patterns are always there. If they weren't how then could the
universe be maintained? How then could your
body repair itself when you get a cut or bruise?
We
define time. We define death. Eternity is
different. In this physical existence we see beginnings and endings. We
see things made from other things. We see birth and death. We see the passing
of circumstances. We wait for the promises of
prosperity. We sometimes get a little down seeing our hopes for a better
life here expiring.(1Corinthians
15:19).and
wonder about
why all the trials come along.
Creator-God has a purpose so far beyond this present existence that it's
mostly
incomprehensible
to us:.1Corinthians
2:9-12. We only see it as through a dark smoky glass:.1Corinthians
13:12.
Eternity can be defined as
the presence of God, in, through and comprising all within:.Romans
11:36.
Creator-God lives in eternity.(Isaiah
57:15).and
is the Eternal One wanting us to awaken to our eternity with Him.(John
17:2).where
there will be
no more physical.
It is like; you are living, but you are also much more than just living.
You are your concepts.(beliefs,
ideas, hopes and dreams).which
define your individuality. The Great Infinite One is also that way. We
are made in Creator-God's image, that is, the
Silence from where thought of us came from. See 'Does
God Exist'?
-Does God
know
about me and does He love me?
John
10:27; 1Corinthians 8:3;
1John
4:19; John 3:16,17; 16:27;
1Peter
5:7.
Nahum
1:7 "God is good, a stronghold
in the day of trouble and he knows them that
trust in him." 2Thessalonians
2:13 "But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren
beloved
of God, because God has from the beginning.chosen
you.to
salvation.('saved',
what
does it mean?).through
sanctification of the Spirit and belief
of the truth."
1John
2:5 "But whoso keeps his word.(being
aligned
with God), in him verily is the
love of God perfected. Hereby know we that we are in him."
The Creator thinks about
you:.Psalms
40:5 "Many, O God are your wonderful works which you have done and.your
thoughts
which
are toward us. They cannot be reckoned
up in order unto thee. If I would declare and speak of them, they are more
than can be numbered."
How
important are you?
Our Creator loves us even
though we may not know Him. He sent His Son to die, so you could have
a
relationship with Him and not die, unless of course you override with
your beliefs about death, because the Creator never
overrides them.
Even in ancient times the
Creator never forgot people and their
wants and needs:.Genesis
29:31;
30:22,23.
