Romans 1:3 Concerning his Son Emmanuel the Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh.

Romans 1:4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.

Romans 1:5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name.
 

Peoples New Testament Notes:."the apostleship was given in order to lead all nations to obedience to the faith; faith being a synonym for the gospel."

Notice it says that it's for obedience to the the law of faith, not the commandments, that enables us to be under grace, because keeping the letter of the commandments part of the Mosaic Law written on stones, has nothing to do with the change needed in a fleshly heart for something better than just a physical reward for this time only. Back then, it was a physical thing for physical rewards, whereas today, it's a spiritual thing with eternal rewards.

Romans 1:6 Among whom are you also the called of Emmanuel the Christ.

Romans 1:7 To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints. Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Emmanuel the Christ.

Romans 1:8 First, I thank my God through Emmanuel the Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

Romans 1:9 For God is my witness, whom I serve.(original 'give attention to').with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers.

Romans 1:10-15 Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you. For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end you may be established.(sure of yourself with the truth); That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me. Now I would not have you ignorant brethren that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, but was let hitherto.(hindered by things I had to deal with), that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles. I am debtor both to the Greeks and to the Barbarians, both to the wise and to the unwise. So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.

Barnes Notes: Barbarians. All who were not under the general name of Greeks, that is, according to Ammonious, all who were not Greeks were barbarians. The term barbarian properly denotes one who speaks a foreign language, that is, a foreigner. The Greeks applied it to all who did not use their language:.1Corinthians 14:11. The word did not therefore of necessity denote any rusticity of manners or any want of refinement.

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. The gospel of Christ.(Mark 1:1; Romans 1:9), also called the.gospel of the kingdom.(the good news about the kingdom being within each of us:.Matthew 4:23; also called.the gospel of the grace of God:.Acts 20:24; also called.the gospel of God:.Romans 1:1; also known as the gospel of peace:.Romans 10:15; also known as.the gospel of the uncircumcision and the circumcision:.Galatians 2:7,8; also known as.the gospel of salvation:.Ephesians 1:13. So, we see the gospel being called six different names, but all meaning the same. It depended on what was in the mind of the speaker at the time and who it may have been they were speaking to. The gospel was good news the Creator wanted you to know about.

Romans 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith. As it is written.(where?.Habakkuk 2:4), The just live by faith.

Those who wish to live on the good side have disavowed the evil side.
Comprised from.Clarke's Commentary: 'from faith to faith' is regarded as the faith of Abraham way before the Mosaic Law, where he showed his faith by actions based on his belief:.Romans 4:16 "Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace, to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed, not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham, the father of us all." Romans 4:11 "And he received...a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had...that he might be the father of all them that believe...that righteousness might be imputed unto them also." James 2:20,23 "But will you know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? And the scripture was fulfilled which said, Abraham believed God and it was imputed unto him for righteousness and he was called the Friend of God." Romans 3:28 "Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.(Abraham had works that were based on his heart of belief in God and this was way before the required ancient and now abolished Mosaic Law)." Romans 5:1 "Therefore being justified by faith we have peace with God through our Lord Emmanuel Christ."

We all have that good faith in us, we just have to decide to use it and once we do we move from faith to faith; if we use it for a high consciousness principle, say thankfulness, we'll no doubt move on to another high consciousness principle, say friendliness.

Romans 1:18 For the wrath.(original 'indignation').of God is revealed from heaven against all unGodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold.(original 'hold back', withhold).the truth in.(original 'out of').unrighteousness.

They may know truth, some of it anyway, but do not allow it to affect their heart toward doing any good, preferring instead to engage in the dark side's game of cover up in order not to solve issues, thus leaving solving of issues alone and of course to their own advantage in doing so:.2Thessalonians 2:12. These corrupt ones were just as bad as those of Old Testament times:.Jeremiah 44:16,17.

Romans 1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest.(plainly recognizable).in them.(we are all walking around thanks to the systems Creator-God designed within us to function as they do, keeping us going, but since we all have free choice, some have chosen the other side; who are these?), for God has showed it unto them.

Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being known by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.

Original for."without excuse".is 'the beginning answer' or the beginning of the answers to all questions and problems, that is, they, by looking at nature can see the answers are spiritual, invisible, unavailable from the ego level, that is, if they have a brain that can think and are not 'unsane'. The beginning answer to all questions and problems is faith, why?

Romans 1:21 Because that, when they knew God.(as they were in ages past {Jeremiah 2:31,32}, so are some today who learn things in the Creation subject and stop short of deeper contemplation of the incredible intelligence evidenced in Creator's design {*}), they glorified.(you glorify God by honoring him with thankful thoughts of the marvelousness of what God has created and that included God's overall plan of salvation and prosperity for all).him not as God, neither were thankful, but became vain in their imaginations which darkened their foolish.(original also gives 'stupid').hearts.(*).

Romans 1:22.Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

Arrogant, egotistical corrupt ones think they have all knowledge to figure everything out, viewing regular people as being below them and not worthy of properly being cared for or truly helped. Who are these evil ones? These are the destructive ones, most of them not even of humanity. 

Impulsive people fail to consider those holding back in life may be well  disciplined, believing instead that others stupidly take time for decision making when they could be rushing into a hedonistic lifestyle:.1Peter 4:4; 2Peter 2:13.

Romans 1:23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man and to birds and four footed beasts and creeping things.

Low consciousness people way back then worshipped many Gods. Today the crackpot.theory of evolution replaces the idiocy of the ancients worshiping many Gods they even created with their own hands:.2Kings 17:16-19,29,20. Evolution is a holey theory, worthy for consideration only by airheads who would want to believe in something that for decades remains just a theory instead of what has been proven true?

Romans 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves.

Romans 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie and worshipped and served the creature.(original for 'creature' is 'creation', that is, they served the created physical things, such as the sun, moon, stars.{Deuteronomy 4:19} and the self; the dark side is out to get your mind on selfish things, the me, me, me first, the 'I wanna be great over all others' attitude, the things such as have to do with depraved lusts, including things such as money, vehicles, the idol of manipulation to advance the self at another's expense, control others and get more for the self without doing it by the soul and instead doing it by the insipid.ego level:.2Kings 17:32,33).more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

Like, why would people not give attention to (which is the meaning of the word 'worship') God, who has all the blessings for them? The people just wanted their own ways:.Jeremiah 44:16,17. And, they even were so stupid as to make idols to worship out of sticks and stones. Like today, they were blinded by a vail over their eyes:.2Corinthians 3:16.

Romans 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections. For even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature.

Ephesians 5:12; Jude 1:10.

Romans 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

Word 'meet' means 'fitting', here applied to their corrupt actions. They reap what they have sown.

Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge.(humanity has been this way from the start:.Jeremiah 32:30-33; 44:16,17; Hosea 4:17; 8:9,11), God gave them over to a reprobate mind.(original for 'reprobate mind' is 'unable to inquire intelligently' {not checking information that was presented by so-called.'trusted authorities', n.b., the covid con}, that is, they just don't 'get it', critical thinking is beyond them, replaced no doubt, by the tel-lie-vision's programming of the mind and so, judicial hardening will now have to deal with them because they'll end up doing wrong and the laws of the land will handle them or they'll just sort of wait aside until God awakens them), to do those things which are not convenient.

Original for 'not convenient' is 'improper', 'shameful', 'not fitting', 'not proper', 'divisive' in that it does nothing to hold people together in unity, such as what follows in the next verses.

Our nature is normally averse to spiritual concerns, so the Infinite allows us to learn our own lessons from life (how?), but most, like ancient Eve in Genesis 3:1-5, have allowed themselves to be put asleep to reality and that needs to be dealt with. How?.Matthew 10:28.

Romans 1:29 Being filled with all unrighteousness.('filled with' is to have a main purpose about; unrighteousness includes the things that cause division as compared to unity in love:.Psalms 133:1), fornication, wickedness.(the things of evil), covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

Romans 1:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things.(such as these modern day ones are), disobedient to parents.(won't listen to advice from parents who love them),

Romans 1:31 Without understanding.(?), covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful.

Romans 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God.(that is, knowing what they were like was out of line with the functioning frequency of the invisible realm of the Creator, which is love), that they which commit such things are worthy of death.(on the pathway to their own destruction), not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.(that is, with others of the same mind).

Buddies in their evil ways. Such is the mind that, although may be well 'educated', is continually pumped by the dark side and therefor, incredibly ignorant of spiritual things.
