Leviticus 19:1,2 And God spoke unto Moses, saying, Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel and say unto them, You shall be holy, for I am holy.

Leviticus 19:4 Turn you not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten Gods.(and that's exactly what they did as they had a contrary.nature to God, to spirituality); I am the Lord your God.

Leviticus 19:7 And if it be eaten at all on the third day, it is abominable, it shall not be accepted.
Original word for 'accepted' also means 'pleasing', 'enjoyable', etc...Don't keep your food leftovers too long, you might get food poisoning. A lot of people do and think it's the flu.
Leviticus 19:9 And when you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not wholly reap the corners of your field.(instead, leave them available for others; don't be so greedy that because it's your harvest, you're going to be sure that every bit of it comes only to you), neither shall you gather the gleanings of your harvest.

Leviticus 19:10 And you shall not glean your vineyard, neither shal you gather every grape of your vineyard. You shall leave them for the poor and stranger; I am the Lord your God.

Leviticus 19:11 You shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another

Leviticus 19:12 And you shall not swear by my name falsely.(by not really, meaning it and not wanting it to actually happen), neither shall you profane the name of thy God; I am the Lord.

Leviticus 19:13 Thou shalt not defraud your neighbour, neither rob him. The wages of him that is hired shall not abide with you all night until the morning.
Back then they were mostly paid daily for their work.
Leviticus 19:14 Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind, but shalt fear thy God; I am the Lord.

Leviticus 19:15 You shall do no unrighteousness in judgment. You shall not respect the person of the poor.(means to 'not lift yourself up against'; would have been better translated 'don't disrespect another because they may be poor', but rather, be like this in verses 9,10), nor honour.(suck up to; a wealthy individual of integrity.abhors this anyway).a man or woman of the mighty.(James 2:1-10), but in righteousness shall you judge your neighbor.
Just because one maybe rich or poor is no reason to treat them differently. It's how each may be toward you that counts.
Leviticus 19:16 You shall not go up and down as a talebearer among your people, neither shall you stand against the blood of your neighbour; I am the Lord.
Leviticus 19:16 You shall not go up and down as a talebearer among your people, neither shall you stand against the blood of your neighbour.(Barnes New Testament Notes:."to put one's life in danger by standing up as an accuser as they did to Emmanuel {Matthew 26:59,60} or, to stand by idly when thy neighbor's life is in danger.".Adam Clarke's Commentary:."by testimony of a false witness the life of an innocent man may be endangered"); I am the Lord.
Leviticus 19:17 You shall not hate your brother in your heart. You shalt in any wise rebuke your neighbour and not suffer sin upon him.
Leviticus 19:17 Thou shall not hate your brother in thine heart.(a fixed attitude of dislike, not allowing any option for change). You shall in any wise rebuke your neighbour and not suffer sin upon him.(respectively tell him where he is wrong so he can know what to correct).

The golden rule.encompasses.the.maxim, that  if you do care for your neighbor, when you see him or her going a way that can cause him or others hurt, do something that can be of benefit. At least talk to him or her, otherwise you are encouraging him or her to carry on to their own hurt.

Those laws here that were included within the Mosaic Law, were for guidance for the people back then, but the ones regarding interactons with others are good principles for us today:.Romans 8:3 "For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh..." 1Corinthians 10:11 "Now all these things happened unto them for examples and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come."

Leviticus 19:18 You shall not avenge.(why?.Romans 12:19; Hebrews 12:15), nor bear any grudge.(James 5:9).against the children of your people.(and strangers too, verse 34 below, but it's a different story toward those who are evil who are out to kill you and who may these be), but you shall love your neighbour as yourself.(Psalms 36:2); I am the Lord.

Leviticus 19:26 You shall not eat any thing with the blood. Neither use enchantment, nor observe times.
Leviticus 19:26 You shall not eat any thing with the blood. Neither use enchantment.(means to charm others so as to have control over them), nor observe times..

Observing lucky and unlucky times. Today people take horoscopes way to seriously. Some people still stupidly believe 13 is supposed to be an unlucky number.

Leviticus 19:27,28 You shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard. You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you; I am the Lord.
Leviticus 19:27,28 You shall not round the corners of your heads.(other nations cut circular patterns on their heads in worship of the God Orotal who was called upon when treaties were concluded), neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard. You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you.(cutting the skin enough so it would scar in some pattern; tattooing); I am the Lord.
Leviticus 19:29 Do not prostitute thy daughter, to cause her to be a whore, lest the land fall to whoredom and the land become full of wickedness.

Leviticus 19:30 You shall keep my sabbaths and reverence my sanctuary; I am the Lord.

Leviticus 19:31.Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God.

Leviticus 19:32 Thou shalt rise up before the hoary head.(grey hair).and honour the face of the old man and fear thy God.(*). I, who speak with you am God.

Leviticus 19:33 And if a stranger sojourn with you in your land, you shall not vex him.

Leviticus 19:34 But the stranger that dwells with you shall be unto you as one born among you and you shall love him as yourself.(the golden rule), for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.(*). I am your God.
1Corinthians 6:10,11.

Strangers in this verse means one amongst others who was not originally a part of them, but of a mind to be sincerely in alignment with them. There were many who chose to be included in the nation of Israel, rejecting the terrible practices of the pagans around them:.Exodus 12:47-49; 20:10;22:21; 23:12; Leviticus 19:10,34.

Leviticus 19:35-37 You shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in meteyard.(original is 'measure'), in weight or in measure.(original is 'dividing'). Just balances, just weights, a just ephah and a just hin.(about 5 quarts {6 litres} or the vessel holding a hin of liquid), shall you have. I am God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt. Therefore shall you observe all my statutes and all my judgments and do them. I am God..(be honest)

Leviticus 20:1 And God spoke unto Moses, saying,

Leviticus 20:2 Again, you shall say to the children of Israel, Whosoever he be of the children of Israel or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that gives any of his seed unto Molech, he shall surely be put to death. The people of the land shall stone him with stones.

Leviticus 20:3-5 And I will set my face against that man and will cut him off from among his people, because he has given of his seed unto Molech, to defile my sanctuary and to profane my holy name. And if the people of the land do any ways hide their eyes from the man, when he gives of his seed unto Molech and kill him not, then I will set my face against that man and against his family and will cut him off and all that go a whoring after him, to commit whoredom with Molech, from among their people.

Leviticus 20:6 And the soul that turns after such as have familiar spirits and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul and will cut him off from among his people.

Leviticus 20:7-20 Sanctify yourselves therefore and be you holy, for I am God which sanctifies you. And you shall keep my statutes and do them. For every one that curses his father or his mother shall be surely put to death. He has cursed his father or his mother. His blood shall be upon him. And the man that commits adultery with another man's wife, even he that commits adultery with his neighbor's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death. And the man that lies with his father's wife has uncovered his father's nakedness. Both of them shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them. And if a man lie with his daughter in law, both of them shall surely be put to death. They have wrought confusion.(original for word 'confusion' is 'violation of God's harmony in nature'). Their blood shall be upon them. If a man also lie with humanity, as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them. And if a man take a wife and her mother, it is wickedness. They shall be burnt with fire, both he and they, that there be no wickedness among you. And if a man lie with a beast, he shall surely be put to death and you shall slay the beast. And if a woman approach unto any beast and lie down thereto, you shall kill the woman and the beast. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them. And if a man shall take his sister, his father's daughter or his mother's daughter and see her nakedness and she see his nakedness, it is a wicked thing and they shall be cut off in the sight of their people. He has uncovered his sister's nakedness. He shall bear his iniquity. And if a man shall lie with a woman having her sickness and shall uncover her nakedness, he has discovered her fountain and she has uncovered the fountain of her blood and both of them shall be cut off from among their people. And you shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother's sister, nor of your father's sister, for he uncovers his near kin. They shall bear their iniquity. And if a man shall lie with his uncle's wife, he has uncovered his uncle's nakedness. They shall bear their sin. They shall die childless.

Leviticus 20:21 And if a man shall take his brother's wife.(unless he is dead:.Deuteronomy 25:5: Matthew 22:24), it is an unclean thing. He has uncovered his brother's nakedness; they shall be childless.

Leviticus 20:22 You shall therefore keep all my statutes and all my judgments and do them, that the land whither I bring you to dwell therein spue you not out.

Leviticus 20:23 And you shall not walk in the manners of the nation, which I cast out before you, for they committed all these things.(how bad were they?.Jeremiah 16:12).and therefore I abhorred them.

Leviticus 20:24 But I have said unto you, You shall inherit their land and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land that flows with milk and honey. I am God which has separated you from other people.
Unless.these other people.wanted.to be a part of Israel;.2Corinthians 6:14.
Leviticus 20:25,26 You shall therefore put difference between clean beasts and unclean and between unclean fowls and clean and you shall not make your souls abominable by beast or by fowl or by any manner of living thing that creeps on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean. And you shall be holy unto me, for I God am holy and have severed you from other people, that you should be mine.

Leviticus 20:27 A man also or woman that has a familiar spirit or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death. They shall stone them with stones. Their blood shall be upon them.
Leviticus 20:27 A man also or woman that has a familiar spirit.(comprised from.Eastons's Bible Dictionary: sorcerers were regarded as vessels containing an inspiring demon; this Hebrew word was equivalent to the 'pytho' of the Greeks and was used to denote both the individual and the spirit which possessed him: 1Samuel 28:7,8; Acts 16:16; the word 'familiar' is from the Latin {no Latin when the books of the Bible were originally written}).or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death. They shall stone them with stones. Their blood shall be upon them.
Leviticus 21:7 They shall not take a wife that is a whore or profane.(original 'a crass woman; one that would bring dishonor'). Neither shall they take a woman put away from her husband, for he.(speaking of the priest regarded as holy).is holy unto his God.

Leviticus 21:9 And the daughter of any priest, if she profane herself by playing the whore, she profanes her father. She shall be burnt with fire.
The Creator wants things that are supposed to be clean, to indeed be clean; no hypocrisy. The Creator set up spiritual laws which are as harsh as one is corrupt; we reap what we have sown.
Leviticus 21:16-23 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto Aaron, saying, Whosoever he be of thy seed in their generations that hath any blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God. For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach; a blind man or a lame or he that hath a flat nose or any thing superfluous, Or a man that is brokenfooted or brokenhanded or crookbackt or a dwarf or that hath a blemish in his eye or be scurvy or scabbed or hath his stones broken; No man that hath a blemish of the seed of Aaron the priest shall come nigh to offer the offerings of the Lord made by fire, he hath a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the bread of his God. He shall eat the bread of his God, both of the most holy and of the holy. Only he shall not go in unto the vail, nor come nigh unto the altar, because he hath a blemish, that he profane not my sanctuaries. For I the Lord do sanctify them.
Leviticus 21:16-23 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto Aaron, saying, Whosoever he be of thy seed in their generations that hath any blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God. For whatsoever man he be that has a blemish, he shall not approach; a blind man or a lame or he that has a flat nose.(because they were satanic cabal types) or any thing superfluous.(like say 6 fingers), Or a man that is brokenfooted or brokenhanded or crookbackt.(humpbacked).or a dwarf or that has a blemish in his eye or be scurvy or scabbed or has his stones broken.(is ruptured; an infirmity which would render him incapable of fulfilling the duties of his office, which might be often very fatiguing; deformed); No man that has a blemish.(a birth defect).of the seed of.(any of Aaron's children).Aaron the priest shall come nigh to offer the offerings of the Lord made by fire, he hath a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the bread of his God. He shall eat the bread of his God, both of the most holy and of the holy. Only he shall not go in unto the vail, nor come nigh unto the altar, because he has a blemish, that he profane not my sanctuaries. For I the Lord do sanctify them.

Comprised from.Jamieson, Fausset, Brown Commentary: this was because as visible things exert a strong influence on the minds of men, any physical infirmity or malformation of body in the ministers of religion back then, when men had not the mind of God, which disturbs the associations or excites ridicule, tends to detract from the weight and authority of the sacred office. Priests laboring under any personal defect were not allowed to officiate in the public service. They might be employed in some inferior duties about the sanctuary but could not perform any sacred office. In all these regulations for preserving the unsullied purity of the sacred character and office, there was a typical reference to the priesthood of Christ:.Hebrews 7:26.

Leviticus 22:31-33 Therefore shall you keep my commandments and do them, I am the Lord. Neither shall you profane my holy name, but I will be hallowed among the children of Israel, I am the Lord which hallow you, that brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God, I am the Lord.
