Isaiah 66:1 Thus says God, The heaven is my throne and the Earth is my footstool. Where is the house that you build unto me? And where is the place of my rest?.(Zephaniah 3:17)
The place of God's rest is in your heart aligned with God.
Isaiah 66:2 For all those things my hand has made including all those things which have been, says God, but to this individual will I look, whoever is poor and of a contrite spirit and trembles at my word.
Isaiah 66:2 For all those things my hand has made including all those things which have been.(have been made by me and they carry on), says God, but to this individual will I look.(what does this mean? 'to this individual will I look' if not being available in us); whoever is poor.('poor', that is, not filled with ego and full of himself, but one having humility.{Matthew 11:29; Isaiah 58:5,6}, one seeing a spiritual need in his or her life; not vanity filled, not one enriching his ego with selfishness, greed and approaches to gain favor, but one who serves others out of the love he or she feels because he or she overstands that we of humanity.are of God. How are we all of God?.Malachi 2:10; 1Corinthians 12:4,12; Galatians 3:28; without God one will never get it all together:.Deuteronomy 4:40; 8:18; Psalms 75:6,7).and of a contrite spirit and at my word trembles.(trembles = extreme regard.for, regarding it not as something trivial; takes it seriously; considers the importance of; high attention to, as opposed to an 'I don't give a care about' type of attitude; tremble here is not a fearful aversion to, but rather a great respect toward).at my word.

Psalms 51:17 "The sacrifices God looks for are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart, O God, you will not despise."
Psalms 145:14 "God upholdes all that fall and raises up all those that be bowed down.".Ancient Job's example. More.

A contrite attitude is one that is the opposite of bravado, arrogance and a selfish, bullying, self-seeking approach to life, but rather, has an outlook of doing what's in the highest and best interests of both himself and others, as shown by a willingness to help and be of service to and a wanting for others to raise up in life as high as possible, no matter what they may have done; example.

Genesis 18:14 "Is any thing too hard for God?..."

Matthew 5:3; 8:5-10; 2Corinthians 12:9.

Isaiah 66:3 He that kills an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrifices a lamb, as if he cut off a dog's neck; he that offers an oblation, as if he offered swine's blood; he that burns incense as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways.(not God's ways and who would the they be?).and their soul delights in their abominations.
Jeremiah 2:31,32.
Isaiah 66:4 I also will choose their delusions.(original for word 'delusions' is 'caprice'; although we bring things upon us by how we act, it's the true and only God of creation that selects the degree of retribution).and will bring their fears upon them.(Eclectic Notes:."as they have chosen their own ways, etc., so I will choose their delusions.", that is, they are blinded, don't know where they are going and don't know what life is all about, because they have left God out of their lives:.Leviticus 26:36,37; Jeremiah 6:15-17); because when I called none did answer, when I spake, they did not hear, but they did evil before mine eyes and chose that in which I delighted not.

Isaiah 66:5-14 Hear the word of God you that tremble.(regard it not as something trivial).at his word.(those that respect the true God); Your brethren that hated you and cast you out for my name's sake.(get away from me, we want nothing to do with your God), said, Let God.be glorified. But he.(the true God).shall appear to your joy and they shall be ashamed. A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the Lord that renders recompence to his enemies. Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came she was delivered of a man child. Who hath heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall the Earth be made to bring forth in one day? Or shall a nation be born at once? fFor as soon as Zion travailed she brought forth her children. Shall I bring to the birth and not cause to bring forth, says the Lord? Shall I cause to bring forth and shut the womb, says your God? Rejoice you with Jerusalem and be glad with her all you that love her. Rejoice for joy with her, all you that mourn for her; that you may suck and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations, that you may milk out and be delighted with the abundance of her glory. For thus says the Lord, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream, then shall you suck, you shall be borne upon her sides and be dandled upon her knees. As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you, and you shall be comforted in Jerusalem. And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice and your bones shall flourish like an herb. And the hand of the Lord shall be known toward his servants and his indignation toward his enemies.

Isaiah 66:15,16 For, behold, God will come with fire and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury and his rebuke with flames of fire. For by fire and by his sword will God plead with all flesh and the slain of the God shall be many.
(

Isaiah 66:17 They that sanctify themselves and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine's flesh and the abomination and the mouse, shall be consumed together, says the Lord.

Isaiah 66:18 For I know their works and their thoughts. It shall come that I will gather all nations and tongues and they shall come and see my glory.

Isaiah 66:19-21 And I will set a sign among them and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations to Tarshish, Pul and Lud; that draw the bow, to Tubal, Javan and to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame neither have seen my glory. And they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles. And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the Lord out of all nations upon horses and in chariots and in litters and upon mules and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem says the Lord, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the Lord. And I will also take of them for priests and for Levites, says the Lord.

Isaiah 66:22 For as the new heavens and the new Earth.(2Peter 3:13), which I am doing, shall remain before me.(the pressure cooker of life on Earth is over), says the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain.
Names are written in the Book of Life.
Isaiah 66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another and from one sabbath to another, all flesh comes to worship before me, says the Lord..(?)

Isaiah 66:24 And they shall go forth and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me, for their worm shall not die neither shall their fire be quenched and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.
