Isaiah
58:1 Cry.(original
'proclaim').aloud,
spare not, lift up your voice.(Ezekiel
3:16-19).like a trumpet.(original
for word 'trumpet' is 'goodly', 'pleasing', 'beautiful', 'bright':.Colossians
4:6).and show.(declare
in a way they can clearly comprehend
to do what they must see and
know what the evils are).my
people where they are wrong and need to improve, including the house
of Jacob.
In
other words, do have the courage to speak to others. Avoid being both a
shrinking
violet or an obnoxious.blaster.
Have wisdom and intelligence in all you do, including relationships.
Don't be out
to leave people thinking you're just some half-baked
noisy crackpot:.2Corinthians
10:1 "Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness
of Christ...".Avoid
being an example no one would want to follow or have around. All that attitude
does is shove people away:.Colossians
4:6 "Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that
you may know how you ought to answer every man.".Luke
14:34.
1Thessalonians
2:7 "But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherishes her children."
2Timothy
2:24 "And the servant of God must not strive, but be gentle unto all,
apt to teach, patient.".Why?.1Corinthians
9:22.
Titus
3:2 "To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, showing
meekness unto people."
James
3:17 "But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable,
gentle and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without
partiality and without hypocrisy."
1Peter
2:18 "Those in whose home you may be staying, get in line with their
ways of doing things, respecting them whether they are good and gentle
or froward."
The true compassionate
loving God responsible for creating all we see and know and that which
we still don't know, is showing that certain acts (reap
what you sow) are causing us to miss the mark (the meaning of the word
'sin') of God's higher
consciousness and, how bad was it back then?.Ezekiel
2:1-8; 5:8-10. And how
bad today?
Isaiah
58:2 Yet they seek me daily and delight to know my ways, as a nation
that did righteousness and forsook not the ordinance of their God. They
ask of me the ordinances of justice.(the
proper and fitting manner of justice).and
they take delight in approaching to God.
Barnes
Notes:."Probably
this means, they profess to delight to know the ways of God, that is, his
commands, truths and requirements. A hypocrite
has no real delight in the service of God or in his truth, but it is true
at the same time that there may be a great deal of professed interest in
religion. There may be a great deal of busy and bustling.solicitude
about the order of religious services, such as the external organization
of the church, the ranks
of the clergy
and the claims of a liturgy.
There may be much pleasure in theological
discussion, in the metaphysics
of theology and in the defense of what is deemed.orthodoxy.
There may be much pleasure in the mere
music of devotion. There may be pleasure in the voice of a preacher and
in the power of his arguments. And there may be much pleasure in the advancement
of the denomination
to which we are attached, such as the conversion of people not from sin,
but from a side opposite to us and not to holiness and to God, but to our
party
and denomination."
Isaiah
58:3 Wherefore have we fasted,
say they and you see not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul and you
take no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast you find pleasure and
exact all your labors.(instead
of dedicating the time to God, prayer, meditation, contermplation, envisioning,
those sort of spiritual things that count forever, it's different for hypocrites
as it was for the Pharisees in Christ's time:.Luke
18:9-14).
Isaiah 58:4 Behold, you fast for strife and debate
and to smite with the fist of wickedness. You shall not fast as you do
this day, to make your voice to be heard on high.
Isaiah
58:4 Behold, you fast for strife and debate.(to
gain a selfish advantage:.Luke
18:9-14).and to smite with the
fist of wickedness.(they
used what they felt was a spiritual advantage to feel superior and to scorn
others:.Matthew
6:16-18). You shall not fast as you do this day, to make your
voice to be heard on high.(but
rather to be humble.
John
13:38 "Emmanuel answered him, Will you lay down your life for my sake?..."
Isaiah 58:5 Is it such a fast that I have chosen?
A day for a man to afflict his soul? Is it to bow down his head as a bulrush
and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? Will you call this a fast
and an acceptable day to the Lord?
Isaiah
58:5 Is it such a fast
that I have chosen?.(Isaiah
66:2).A day for a man to afflict
his soul? Is it to bow down his head as a bulrush
and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? Will you call this a fast
and an acceptable day to the Lord?
Isaiah
58:6 Is not this the fast
that I have chosen? To loose the bands.(Psalms
73:4).of wickedness,
to undo the heavy burdens and to let the oppressed go free.(learn
how to be in service and helpfulness to others) and that
you break every yoke.(the
things that harness
you to the low consciousness things of the world:.2Corinthians
6:17)?
"to
let the oppressed go free", on this, see...
Fasting
extricates
one from one's own low consciousness:.Ephesians
6:12.
Isaiah 58:7 Is it not to deal your bread to the hungry
and that you bring the poor that are cast out to your house and when you
see the naked, you cover him and that you don't turn yourself away from
those of your own flesh needing help?
Isaiah
58:7 Is it not to deal.(original
for word 'deal' means to 'to divide, to distribute').your
bread to the hungry and that you bring the poor that are cast out.(original
for 'cast' is 'in misery',
that is cast in
misery; word 'out' not in original, but implied,
as to not knowing where to go for help; fasting will improve your caring
for others).to your house.(fasting
will bring you to concern and caring for others and those less fortunate;
fasting gives you great concern for others).and
when you see the naked.(that
is, not having much:.Matthew
25:35-40; Job 31:16-22),
that you cover him and that you hide not yourself from your own flesh.(other
humans in need; one way to turn away {hide yourself} from them is not to
pray and fast for others needing help)?
Stay involved
with your family, your relations and with those others in need as if they
too were your family.
More on the
poor amongst you:.John
12:8.
Isaiah
58:8 Then shall your light break forth as the morning and your health
shall spring forth speedily and your righteousness shall go before you.
The
glory of the Lord shall be your rereward.(your
protection).
Isaiah
58:9 Then you call and the Lord shall answer. You cry and he says,
Here I am. If you take away from the midst of you the yoke,
the putting forth of the finger.(blaming
others).and speaking vanity,
Vanity
is the way of low consciousness
man.
Isaiah
58:10 And if you draw out your soul to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted
soul, then shall your light rise in obscurity
and your darkness be as the noonday.
Deuteronomy
15:1-11; Proverbs 31:8,9.
Isaiah
58:11 And the Lord guides you continually and satisfies your soul in
drought
and makes fat your bones and you are a watered garden and a spring of water,
whose waters fail not.
John
7:38.
Isaiah
58:12 And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places.
You raise up the foundations of many generations and are called, The repairer
of the breach.(making
things better for all), The restorer of paths to dwell in.
Isaiah
58:13,14 If you turn away your foot from the
sabbath, from doing your pleasure on my holy day and call the sabbath
a delight, the holy of the Lord, honorable and shall honor him, not doing
your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words.(own
own plans and dreams we get so involved in to the point God is left out
of them). Then shall you delight yourself in the Lord and
I will cause you to ride upon the high places of the Earth and feed you
with the heritage of Jacob
your father. For the mouth of the Lord has spoken it.
Isaiah
59:1 Behold, God's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save.(original
adds 'deliver', 'help', 'rescue', 'victory'), neither his
ear heavy.(never
gets tired from hearing an individual communicating with him and never
gets tired giving answers to him or her).that
it cannot hear.
Micah
2:7; Psalms 103:2,3; 147:3.
Isaiah
59:2 But your iniquities
have separated between you and your God and your sins
have hid his face from you that he will not hear.
God
hides. Gotta get clean first if you want to be and stay part of God.
How?
Isaiah
59:3-7 For your hands are defiled with blood and your fingers with
iniquity.(who
were these terrible ones?). Your lips have spoken lies. Your
tongue has muttered perverseness...None calls for justice, nor any pleads
for truth. They trust in vanity
and speak lies. They conceive mischief and bring forth iniquity....They
hatch cockatrice eggs and weave the spider's web. He that eats of their
eggs dies and that which is crushed breaks out into a viper...Their webs
shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their
works. Their works are works of iniquity and acts of violence is in
their hands...Their feet run to evil and they make haste to shed
innocent blood. Their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity. Wasting
and destruction are in their paths.
Isaiah
59:8 The way of peace they know not and there is no judgment.(*).in
their goings. They
have
made themselves crooked paths. Whosoever goes therein
shall not know peace.
Careful
who you follow in life. If you don't have peace in your life (Romans
3:17), you know what kind of path is affecting that:.Psalms
34:14; John 14:6.
Isaiah
59:9 Therefore is judgment far from us, neither does justice overtake
us. We wait for light, but behold obscurity,
for brightness, but we walk in darkness.
Isaiah
59:10 We grope for the wall like the blind and we grope as if we had
no eyes. We stumble at noonday as in the night. We are in desolate places
as dead men.
Isaiah
59:11-14 We roar all like bears and mourn sore like doves. We look
for judgment, but there is none, for salvation, but it is far off from
us. For our transgressions are multiplied before you and our sins testify
against us.(*).
For our transgressions are with us
and as for our iniquities, we know them.(Jeremiah
44:16,17).
Isaiah
59:13 In transgressing and lying against the
Lord.(how
lying against the Lord? by not being of the same mind of love, which is
higher
consciousness present awareness).and
departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving
and uttering from the heart, words of falsehood.(John
8:44).
Isaiah
59:14 And judgment is turned away backward and justice stands afar
off. For truth is fallen in the street and equity
cannot enter.
Isaiah 59:15-17 Yea, truth
fails and he that departs from evil makes himself a prey and the Lord saw
it and it displeased him that there was no judgment. And he saw that there
was no man and wondered that there was no intercessor, therefore his arm
brought salvation unto him and his righteousness, it sustained him. For
he put on righteousness as a breastplate and an helmet of salvation upon
his head and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing and was clad
with zeal as a cloke.
Isaiah
59:15-17 "Yea, truth fails and he that departs from evil makes himself
a prey.(a horrible
atmosphere of a society to be in, where if you're not part
and parcel with all the cruds
out there, they may pounce
on you; ever hear of bullies?).and
the Lord saw it and it displeased him that there was no judgment.(the
ego is such that no one at his best was of the heart to be fair to others;
even those who may be called judges).
And he saw that there was no man and wondered that there was no intercessor.(no
person in a heart born of the ego, gives a damn about another's plight;
if they did, war, violence, hate, greed and poverty would have long
ago been gone), therefore his arm brought
salvation unto him.(the
Creator had to step in by sending one of his high consciousness level {the
realm of Christ}, so humanity could have an example and a hope of better
things).and his
righteousness, it sustained him. For he.(the
one who became Christ).put
on righteousness as a breastplate and an helmet of salvation upon his head.(thus
should we all be: Ephesians 6:14;
1Thessalonians
5:8).and
he put on the garments of vengeance.(humanity
could now relax and be peaceable, leaving retribution
and war to him who is fully able to handle it:.Romans
12:17-19).for
clothing and was clad with zeal as a cloke.(willing
and anxious to solve the negatives humanity had created; and so, our hope:
1Timothy
1:1)."
Isaiah
59:18 According to their deeds.(*),
accordingly he will repay.(*),
fury to his adversaries, recompence to his enemies and to the islands he
will repay recompence.
Barnes
Notes:."The
idea here is, that God would 'repay recompense' or take vengeance on the
foreign nations which had oppressed them.".Romans
12:19.
Isaiah
59:19 So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west and his
glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood,
the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard.(original
for word 'standard' is 'to drive him away'; he'll flee from you)
against him.
So,
the sentence
'When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall
lift up a standard against him' should read 'When the enemy shall come
in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall provide escape'; the word
'standard' is 'escape' in the original KJV;
words 'against him' not in original, nor are words 'shall lift up';.JPS
Translation.has
it:."So shall
they fear the name of the Lord from the west and His glory from the rising
of the sun, for distress will come in like a flood, which the breath of
the Lord drives."; the JPS Translation
has the verse referring to God
in control even in control of the evil.
Isaiah

and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, says the Lord.

Isaiah
59:21 As for me, this is my covenant with them, says the Lord; My spirit
that is upon you and my words which I have put in your mouth, shall not
depart out of your mouth, nor out of the mouth of your seed, nor out of
the mouth of your seed's seed, says the Lord, from henceforth and for ever.
Why?
Because people will come to love what
the Creator is doing.

and shine!), for your light is come and the glory of the
Lord is risen upon you.

Isaiah
60:19,20 The sun shall be no more your light by day, neither for brightness
shall the moon give light unto you, but the Lord shall be unto you an everlasting
light and your God your glory. Your sun shall no more go down, neither
shall your moon.(original
for 'moon' is 'month').withdraw
itself.(that
is, the month won't seem short, you'll get all done you need to),
for the Lord shall be your everlasting light and the days of your mourning
shall be ended.

They shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work

prison to them that are bound;
Luke
4:18.
Isaiah
61:2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord and the day of vengeance
of our God and to comfort all that mourn.
Every
year and time is acceptable when people love God and love it that God loves
them.

49:8.
Quoted in the
New Testament at.Luke
4:19-21.
Isaiah
61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion,

stand and feed your flocks and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen

about theft of any kind and presenting something bought by that to God,
making it appear to others as if those doing such a thing were holy and
righteous. Similar to what

I will direct their work in truth and I will make an everlasting covenant

the seed which the Lord hath blessed.
Isaiah
61:10,11 I will greatly rejoice in God. My
soul shall be joyful in my God. God has clothed me with the garments
of salvation and covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom
decks himself with ornaments and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels...For
as the earth brings forth her bud and as the garden causes the things that
are sown in it to spring forth, so God will cause righteousness and praise
to spring forth before all the nations.
