-How can one increase
love?.1Corinthians
13th chapter, yet still
love
in balance?
Love abounds when knowledge
and insight increases:.Philippians
1:9.
Even one who increases his
knowledge in say, the field of computers, develops more love for what he
is doing and ladies, some guys too much so, right? Ha ha!
Verse
10.(original
is 'to be careful to make a part of you that which is best for you, so
that you may continue to be pure and without offence')
-Are we to be inviting strangers
into our homes as it says in Hebrews
13:2? Couldn't this be unwise?
Hebrews
13:1 is talking of brotherly love, other Christians who you do not
yet know. It means those who are of love. A better translation of the first
sentence in verse 2 would be 'Always be hospitable'. But, if one is not
of love, they may be there to in some way take advantage of you or hurt
you. You don't want to be in that situation. Be cautious
of those you don't know. Good to be hospitable to strangers that those
you do know and trust, recommend.
If you feel comfortable
as your first impression,
you generally have nothing to worry about. If you don't feel comfortable,
be wary. And do
remember:.1Peter
3:12,13.
"You never get a second chance
to make a first impression.".Making
a first impression is all important.
-Why would I want to care
for an enemy.(Romans
12:20; Psalms 112:7,8;
Matthew
5:44).if
this just made things worse for him? How is this showing love? And who
is our biggest enemy if not ourselves influenced by the great deceiver,
the dark side ones of Satan?.Revelation
12:9.
When the Bible talks
about the Creator taking vengeance upon him or her, it simply means that
the multiversal laws are set up so that we reap
what we have sown, so that
we learn to head toward something better. The reaping can then be quick:.Romans
12:17-21 "Recompense to no man evil for evil.(of
course, the Creator is the same regarding us:.Psalms
103:10-13; He loves us). Provide
things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lies
in you, live peaceably with all men.(how?).
Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath.
For it is written.(where),
Vengeance
is mine, I will repay.(how
and when?), says the Lord. Therefore
if thine enemy hunger, feed him, if he thirst, give him drink. For in so
doing you shall heap coals of fire on his head.(that
is, it'll shake him up which will wake him up).
Be not overcome of evil.(we
all do evil, just don't be overcome by it),
but overcome evil with good." 2Thessalonians
1:6 "Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation
to them that trouble you." Luke 18:7,8
"And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him,
though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily....."
Deuteronomy
32:35 "To me belongs vengeance and recompence; their foot shall slide
in
due time. For the day of their calamity is at hand and the things that
shall come upon them make haste."
Everyone does what they feel
is right, even if its wrong:.Proverbs
14:12. Learning to have more intelligence about it will keep you out
of trouble.
In the beginning of Old
Testament times, bad persons were put to death:.Deuteronomy
13:4,5. As consciousness changed, thanks to the increasing of praying
and meditating men and women, the mass
mind changed and so instead of Deuteronomy 13:4,5 we have:.Proverbs
25:21,22 "If your enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat and if he
be thirsty give him water to drink. For you shall heap coals of fire upon
his head.(it
will awaken him to love).and
the Lord shall reward you." Psalms
18:13,14 "The Lord also thundered in the heavens and the Highest gave
his voice, hail stones and coals of fire. Yea, he sent out his arrows and
scattered them and he shot out lightnings and discomfited.(original
'to move noisly'; to get their attention).them."
This change carried right
on up to the time of the New
Testament and this era
began with the great John the
Baptist, the forerunner
of Emmanuel. So, it's now a different story, in that the death of an individual
is the death of his or her lower consciousness, a change that paves the
road toward good for him and all:.Colossians
3:3. Akin to the death of Emmanuel and His resurrection to total spirituality
And today's enemies; what
about them?.Romans
12:20 "Therefore if your enemy hunger, feed him. If he thirst, give
him drink. For in so doing you heap coals of fire on his head."
Showing love and care and
serving others, even your enemies, doesn't hurt them:.Romans
13:10 "Love works no ill to his neighbour.....".Elisha
in ancient time did similarly. The story.
The term."coals
of fire".in Romans
12:20 and in Proverbs 25:21,22
refers to the
Great Powerful Infinite One that we often refer to as God,
working on someone and is taken from the Old Testament Book
of Proverbs.(probably
the greatest
psychology
book ever written).
It's so much better to love
your enemy than to hate what he has done. Why? Because one's own ways will
come upon him:.Hosea
8:11.
Once the Creator begins to
work in someone's life, things become different for him or her. We can
begin
the Creator's effect upon others by loving them and that would include
praying for them. We can see Creator's effect in us when we see what
we really are.
Anger can show us that we
are acting from the ego level and not the high consciousness level of love.
Negatives can show us many things about ourselves if we just don't carry
on the same way we always have been. Stop and think about what's going
on in life.
The
ego we all have relied upon is being rattled when we get angry, upset
or depressed. It takes an awakening of love to see that the person being
upset with another, the person who regards another as his or her enemy,
is really himself or herself. Problems are needed or we would never realize
that something is not right with the way we are and that a better
way is possible, the way of peace. That's
why we have trials and sufferings.
Without opposites how would we see any options?
To change what is being
absorbed into the collective
consciousness from our thoughts, one needs new information, producing
thoughts that contribute
goodness, as opposed
to thoughts contributing to perpetuation
of current negatives affecting us individually and collectively,
collectively meaning the entire world.
But, how
does anyone effect change? We know the Creator can change us if we are
willing to be changed:.1Corinthians
15:57 "But thanks be to God, which gives us the victory through our
Lord Emmanuel the Christ.(what
is Christ?).".\
When Christ was on Earth
in the physical form of the one called Emmanuel, He said:.Luke
22:32 "...I have prayed for you, that
your faith fail not..." Mark 11:22
"And Emmanuel answering said unto them, Have
faith in God.".And
today, He's the same?.Hebrews
13:8 "Emmanuel the Christ the same yesterday and today and for ever."
Acts
3:16 "And his name.(whose
name?.Acts
3:14).through
faith
in his name has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yea, the faith
which is by him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of
you all."
Galatians
2:20 "I am crucified with Christ. Nevertheless I live. Yet not
I, but Christ liveth in me and the life which I now live in the flesh I
live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for
me."
Change can be instant, but
change comes at the rate of one's belief and
enthusiasm
and this because you showed love to yourself and others.(Job's
example:.Job
42:10).and
faced
what
you really are like. This is because the multiverse
is in you, as strange as this sounds.
This facing of yourself focuses
attention
upon the object of your love, you and others you love. This also has advantages
for
another's ultimate good.
It will have a good effect upon others as soon as it has a good
effect upon you.
Our
part is to meditate
and look at our dark sides.
Judge yourself well. Avoid judging others because you never know what life
they had was like that led them into evil. God knows. It's all part of
the process of what the Bible calls 'repenting', which simply means
changing.
But when will I see the change in others
I want for them?
Repenting is a process God
has already looked after for you and others:.2Timothy
1:9. It's not a part of anything important now that Christ has finished
all that stuff:.Hebrews
6:1,2. Time to move on to living within the finished
work of Christ. The kingdom
of God is within you. It is secure:.Romans
14:7-9; John 10:29. Your place
in it has been fixed according to your talents.(Matthew
25:15; Ephesians 4:8),
talents that make up only you, talents that God wanted only you to have.
Use them in kindness, help and compassion,
as you live in service to others, helping them with your words.(Proverbs
15:1,2).and
your actions:.Colossians
3:17.
To progress in higher consciousness
levels, one first has to believe and that door doesn't even open for anyone
unless they first decide to
change; which again, is called in the Bible 'repenting'.
Easton's
Bible Dictionary:."Heaping
coals of fire on the head" symbolizes overcoming evil with good. The words
of Paul.(Romans
12:20).are
equivalent
to saying, "By charity and kindness you shall soften down his enmity
as surely as heaping coals on the fire fuses the metal in the crucible."
It is interesting also to
comprehend
the meaning and purpose of fire.
