Scriptures on judging from The Treasury Of Scripture Knowledge

A friend or neighbor comes over and asks for money for his son who is stuck in a far off country, telling you he's helped as much as he could and can no longer help any more. You immediately get the wheels of your mind going with questions like Where is he? Why is he out of money? Didn't he plan properly for the trip? You tell him, he's been put into jail for not wearing a mask in this time of the covid con. They stole any money he had.

So, you are now judging on what next to say to avoid giving him money to send his son. You begin judging this man's son who's in jail. You think, Why would he go there at this time of covid, etc. Why was he out walking around? Didn't he know the danger of not wearing a mask and getting arrested?

Judging others means making someone else feel inferior and of course makes the individual doing the judging feel superior. Better to consider others as equal with you, which we all are, underneath.

Proverbs 24:23 "These things also belong to the wise. It is not good to have respect of individuals in judgment.".(favoring one person over another for selfish advantage and making decisions in accordance with that negative).

Acts 10:34 "Then Peter opened his mouth and said Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of individuals."

James 2:1-3 "My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of individuals. For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment and you have respect to him that wears the gay clothing and say unto him, Sit you here in a good place and say to the poor, stand you there or sit here under my footstool."

Leviticus 24:22 "You shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your own country, for I am the Lord your God.".(God respects humans, but God is no respecter of individuals, such as if they are gaining from corruption:.Jude 1:16; Matthew 26:15)

1Peter 1:17.

God looks on the heart:.Deuteronomy 5:29. God does not prefer any individual because of his rank or position in society.

Proverbs 28:21 "To have respect of persons is not good, because for a piece of bread man will transgress."

Job 34:18,19 "Is it fit to say to a king, you are wicked? and to princes, you are ungodly? How much less to him that accepts not the individuals of princes nor regards the rich more than the poor for they all are the work of his hands."

Deuteronomy 1:17 "You shall not respect persons in judgment, but you shall hear the small as well as the great; you shall not be afraid of the face of man, for the judgment is God's. And the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto me and I will hear it."

Deuteronomy 16:19 "You shall not wrest judgment. You shall not respect persons, neither take a gift.(a bribe), for a gift does blind the eyes of the wise and pervert the words.(or 'matters').of the righteous."

Matthew 22:16 "And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying Master we know that you are true and teach the way of God in truth, neither care you.(show special favor to gain privilege from).any man. For you regard not the person of men."

Leviticus 19:15 "You shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: you shall not respect the person of the poor nor honour the person of the mighty but in righteousness shall you judge your neighbour.".(it's what he or she may be like that matters).

Deuteronomy 1:16 "And I charged your judges at that time, saying, Hear the causes between your brethren and judge righteously between every man and his brother and the stranger that is with him."

Job 13:7 "Will you speak wickedly for God and talk deceitfully for him?"

Job 13:8 "Will you accept his person? Will you contend for God?"

Jeremiah 21:12 O house of David this says the Lord.(or, take note, this is how God thinks); Execute judgment in the morning and deliver him that is spoiled.(original also means 'suffered violence, taken away by force, robbed, torn away, seized, plundered').out of the hand of the oppressor lest my fury go out like fire and burn that none can quench it because of the evil of your doings.

Micah 3:11 "The heads thereof judge for reward and the priests thereof teach for hire and the prophets thereof divine for money. Yet will they lean upon the Lord and say Is not the Lord among us? None evil can come upon us."
