Haggai
Haggai
1:1 In the second year of Darius the
king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word
of the Lord by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel
the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah and to Joshua
(Joshua 11:18) the
high priest who was the son of Josedech, saying,
Haggai
1:5 Now therefore thus says the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways.
Haggai
1:6 You have sown much and bring in little. You eat, but you have not
enough. You drink, but you are not filled with drink. You clothe yourself,
but there is none warm. And he that earns wages earns wages to put it into
a bag with holes.
In
other words, the things of life are constantly being used up and more is
always required (Lamentations
5:5 "Our necks are under persecution. We labour and have no rest."),
with the message being, be smart enough to seek
more than just this:.Proverbs
16:3 "Commit your works unto the Lord and your thoughts shall be established."
Learn who has
brought negatives into the world to afflict humankind. It was Satan and
these are carried out today in the depopulation agenda of these
criminals.
Haggai
1:7 Thus says the Lord of hosts; Consider
your ways.
Haggai
1:13 Then spake Haggai the Lord's messenger in the Lord's message unto
the people, saying, I am with you, says the Lord.
Haggai
2:4 Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel,
says the Lord and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest.(not
the
Joshua whose name there is a book of the Bible).and
be strong, all you people of the land, says the Lord and work, for I am
with you, says the Lord of hosts.
Haggai
2:5 According to the word that I covenanted
with you.(Exodus
24:3).when you came out
of Egypt.(*),
so my spirit remains among you. Fear you not.
When
one's heart is all for God, there is nothing to fear.
How
powerful is the one and only good and true God?
Haggai
2:6 For thus says the Lord of hosts, Yet once, it is a little while
and I will shake the heavens and the Earth and the sea and the dry land.
Revelation
16:18.
Haggai
2:7 And I will fill this house.(what
house?.Jeremiah
7:14,15).with
glory, said the Lord of
hosts.
Haggai
2:8 The silver is mine and the gold is mine,
says the
Lord
of hosts.
Haggai
2:9 The glory of this latter house shall be
greater than of the former, says the Lord of hosts. And in this place
will I give peace, said the Lord of hosts.
John
14:27.
Haggai
2:15 And now, I pray you, consider from this day and upward, from before
a stone was laid upon a stone in the temple of the Lord.
Haggai
2:18 Consider now from this day and upward, from the four and twentieth
day of the ninth month, even from the day that the foundation of the Lord's
temple was laid, consider it.
Comprised
with Barnes
Notes:
Consider what? Consider that from the moment the first stone was laid to
build the structure of this now ancient
temple in Jerusalem, that both the city and temple were destroyed because
the adversity
upon people there was due
to their evil ways bringing ruin upon their country.
