Prayer
-At
the end of every prayer in church, they always say "and we ask all this
and give thanks in the name of Emmanuel, Amen." Couldn't this become vain
repetition?
-Do
we pray to the Father or Christ?
-How
do we."draw near
to God"?
-How
earnestly are we to pray? Pray from the heart. How?
-If you've prayed
for something for self or another, how
often should you do this?
-Is
it better to be honest and wholehearted, or legalistic like the Pharisees?
-Our
church talks a lot about group and individual intercessory prayer. This
makes me feel like my prayers aren't quite good enough the way they were,
although I never heard any complaints from God. By intercessory prayer
I mean that they say we are in a spiritual battle with the devil and God's
people must pray to get the demons' hands off society so the word of God
can have free course and affect others for good. I am concerned for others,
but I am in two minds about how they are approaching it. Are we saying
that God would let the world go to "hell" if His people didn't have intercessory
prayer? Does God love the world that little? Does their salvation depend
upon whether or not we have intercessory prayer or anything else for that
matter, or upon the finished work of Christ? Are we trying to do Christ's
finished work all over again? Are we saying that the devil has gained more
evil than God has good? Is Christ incapable of doing what He said He would?
Do we really know what our works should be?
-What
about Paul asking God to remove an affliction and God's answer about His
grace being enough for Paul?
-What
about."praying
in tongues"?
-What does."prayer
with stong supplication".mean
as it says in Philippians 4:6?
-Why
pray?
-Why
refight the battle?
Predestination
-If
you were already a spirit being in eternity, why are you here? and if we
lived forever, why don't we know all our prebirth past?
-Did
God predestinate me to be born into a particular family?
-Did
we have a beginning or have we always existed?
-What
other book could this be but the Bible with our names and our works based
upon what we understand from it written in it? How else could our individual
rewards in the government of God be determined?
Pride
-And
how do they think others should be?
-What
kinds of pride are there? Are you proud of your children? Do you take pride
in your appearance?
-Why
will God cause the arrogance of the proud to cease and lay low the haughtiness
of the terrible?
Proof
Of The Bible
-But
can we academically trust the Bible to be an accurate and true to source
of God? What does it tell us about itself?
-What's
God got to say about other 'Gods'?
-Which
translation is the most accurate?
-Would
Emmanuel have picked those with no potential to carry His important message?
-Why
was Emmanuel born to die?
Prosperity
-Anything
wrong with being abundantly wealthy? Why do some people think that there
is something wrong with prosperity when it's one of the very things God
wants us to enjoy and will give it to us when we're ready? But when is
that? And, are we to
take risks in 'getting there'?
-Is
it a sign that God is with someone if they are prosperous?
-Just
how do I get the promises, some of you might be saying?
-What
is the."prosperity
of fools"?
-Why
then would anyone think less of himself and herself than God thinks of
them? Who's other opinion matters for your great reward? And why would
anyone think less of themselves than the very living Creator thinks of
them anyway?
-Yeah,
I know; you right now could be thinking 'who me'?
Protection
-Why
weren't those of the Inquisition protected and others today, instead ending
up being martyred?
Pure
And Holy
-How
are we purified?
-If
we are pure, holy and righteous in God's eyes, why does it say to purify
ourselves?
-What
does it mean 'to be saved'?
-Why
does one has to be equal with Him in love to understand Him and to have
eternal life?
