Angels are in the family of God, in which there are many other strange creatures. There are over 100 million angels at least, each one with the potential of instant incredible power, drawn from God for whatever God wants them to do:.Revelation 5:11 "And I beheld and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand and thousands of thousands.".Revelation 10:7; 11:15; 16:17.

Maybe even before the stars were:.Job 38:4-7 "..........When the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy?".So, before the stars were, there were sons of God, angels and us:.2Timothy 1:9.

At some time before the beginning of things as we know them, the angels were created, because they witnessed the creation of the heavens and the Earth, so they existed before humanity.

-Were the angels ever at war with God?

The great archangel.(a high ranking angel).Lucifer rebelled against the plan of Creator-God which included humanity being of the same high consciousness as the Creator and this was above the angels.(*), but it was all part of Creator's ability to adapt to any change and come out ahead, even engineering many outcomes through His ability to deal with anything created, even evil. Point of it all is learning. Point of anything is learning. Point of learning is to improve, to become better and more helpful at what is being learned.

Angels had a large part in carrying out the Creator's plan in preparing a beautiful place here for habitation by man.

And for fear of him the keepers did shake and became as dead men."

-Why does it say in Hebrews 2:2.("...the word spoken by angels.....").that the word was delivered by angels, when it says in Deuteronomy that they heard God deliver the word?.Deuteronomy 5:22,24,26 "These words the Lord spake unto all your assembly in the mount out of the midst of the fire, of the cloud and of the thick darkness, with a great voice. And he added no more. And he wrote them in two tables of stone and delivered them unto me...And you said, Behold, the Lord our God has showed us his glory and his greatness and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire. We have seen this day that God does talk with man and he lives.(Exodus 33:20). For who is there of all flesh, that has heard the voice of the living God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as we have and lived?"

Angels act in complete harmony with the Creator. They, if instructed by Him, can act as if it was actually Creator-God, much like a power of attorney.

John 5:37 seems to be telling us that no one has seen or heard God, but...

Jacob seemed pretty sure that he saw the Creator.
   It sounds like it here by the way this 'man' who wrestled with Jacob talked.

But maybe it was an angel acting on the Creator's directions?.Genesis 32:24-30 "And Jacob was left alone and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him. And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob. And he said, Your name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel. For as a prince have you power with God and with men and have prevailed. And Jacob asked him and said, Tell me, I pray you, your name. And he said, Wherefore is it that you do ask after my name? And he blessed him there. And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel, for I have seen God face to face and my life is preserved."

Or, maybe it was the Christ of the Old Testament?.1Corinthians 10:1-4 "Moreover, brethren, I would not that you should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud and all passed through the sea and were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea and did all eat the same spiritual meat and did all drink the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them and that Rock was Christ."

Moses too saw 'God' face to face and talked with Him, he thought:.Exodus 33:10,11 "And all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand at the tabernacle door. And all the people rose up and worshipped, every man in his tent door. And the Lord spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaks unto his friend...." Numbers 14:14 "And they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land, for they have heard that you Lord is among this people, that thou Lord are seen face to face and that your cloud stands over them and that you go before them, by day time in a pillar of a cloud and in a pillar of fire by night." Deuteronomy 5:4 "The Lord talked with you face to face in the mount out of the midst of the fire."

The Creator uses angels in His work, both good and evil ones. When God communicates with man, He uses angels that come directly from Him and have authority.(or, power of attorney).to act as though it was Him. In high consciousness we are one in spirit, just as we are all one in the invisible field of energy and information below the atom.
