He was studied by two German
chemists who discovered that it has two chemicals in its body; hydrogen
peroxide and hydroquinone. These two chemicals are secreted together in
one compartment that is connected to a second, containing enzymes necessary
for quick reaction of the chemicals. His system can carry these chemicals
around in him without being accidentally mixed. One enzyme is an
inhibitor.
Later, when needed to drive off an enemy, an anti inhibitor is added to
create the steaming hot foul smelling gas, which this little beetle releases
with force upon an enemy.
The beetle here has a remarkably
safely constructed system that balances the hotness of the solution and
the durability of the exit channel.
Now the fact that he is able
to do that is in itself a marvel, but even more interesting, is how he
could have evolved the complexity necessary to produce such an amazing
feat:.Psalms
2:4 "He that sits in the heavens shall laugh. The Lord shall have them
in derision."
The question here evolution
fails to answer involves exactly, what are the stages of beetle
evolution that have led to these complex specialized functions?
Imagine billions of years
ago this little beetle evolves from a, 'whatever' and has contained in
his little body all of these chemicals, in precise quantities and functions
different from other beetles. Why did this particular beetle have to evolve
different defense mechanisms than other beetles?
Anyway, now comes
along someone who wants him for lunch. Keep in mind, he's the first of
his kind to have evolved with this gift. He has to figure out just what
amounts of hydrogen peroxide and hydroquinone to mix with the inhibitor
and how much of everything to mix with the anti inhibitor and at what moment
to do so. He has to also keep in mind that if he doesn't get it exactly
right the first time......BOOM! There goes the family tree, along with
any future descendants. No. He.had.to
be created that way. And how did the first beetle know who his enemies
were anyhow? How did he learn to interpret another animal or insect's behavior
as hostile as compared to friendliness, before it was too late for him
to know the difference?
Why are the
quinones
in other beetles only there to make them taste bad? Why, if evolution be
true, weren't the others like this one? Why do both preservation systems
exist side by side? Why did the other beetles 'evolve' an altruistic
system, where, because they taste bad, an enemy would only know this after
he had eaten the beetle; thereby protecting other beetles fortunate enough
to still be living, indeed, the enemy was equipped with memory? And we
know they are, so when and from where comes the memory? Evolution has no
answer?
Other
beetles are equally impressive and unusual.
Blood and clots:.Our
blood system is wonderfully designed to work and keep on working throughout
our lives. Aren't you glad?
"The formation of blood
clots is like an orchestra playing".says
Ross Baker, consultant hematologist at the Royal Perth Hospital in Australia.
Shaun Jackson, research team leader at Australian Centre for Blood Diseases
at Monash University Medical School in developing a system of artificial
blood vessels to model the way
blood clots form, says."It
shows clotting is much more complex than we initially thought."....Journal
of Clinical Investigation, volume 105, page 783, as reported in New
Scientist Magazine.(newscientist.com),
April 1, 2000.
The Infinite Conscious Intelligence
sure did think of everything when He designed the blood system. This amazing
system automatically adjusts the blood vessels by narrowing or constricting
to keep blood pressure steady and prevent fainting, adjusting to temperature,
physical and mental stresses, demands of the digestive system, as when
more blood is needed for the stomach's processing of food, etc.
And, what if our blood wasn't
the particular.composition
that it is? Why are blood components
in the proportions
that they are? What was responsible for them being as they are? Was it
evolution
or design? Proper design keeps you going. But, the concepts
of evolution are whimsical
and are as a blind man walking, that is, he knows he is going.somewhere,
but is unsure of where he's going and perhaps even where he must have come
from.
Blood clotting is an ultra.complex.intricately
woven system, consisting
of a number of interdependent.protein
components. Defects
or absence
in any one of these components causes the system
to fail.
In the light of new information
to the contrary,
evolution's clownish.concepts
are simplistic
to the point of being ludicrous.
Blood clotting requires extreme
precision. For example, one of over a hundred things regarding the coagulation
of blood is; what fluid pressure will the clot resist?
A clot must seal all along
the length of the cut to stop bleeding, yet be confined to the area of
the cut, or the entire blood system might solidify. Complex systems sustaining
the body also have the ability
to turn on and off and even
sacrifice themselves as needed. This is a system evincive
of high regulation.
The problem for Darwinian
gradualism
with regulation is that, the cells would have no reason to develop regulatory
mechanisms before the appearance of a new catalyst
enabling clotting when necessary. The system was designed to work properly
right from the 'get go'.
