Regarding Easter,
the one direct reference is.Acts
12:4.
From.Easton's
Bible Dictionary:."Easter,
originally a Saxon word.(Eostre),
denoting a Goddess of the Saxons, in honour of whom sacrifices were offered
about the time of the Passover.
Hence the name came to be given to the festival of the Resurrection of
Christ, which occurred at the time of the Passover.
In the early English versions
this word was frequently used as the translation of the Greek pascha.(the
Passover). When the
Authorized
Version (1611).was
formed, the word "passover" was used in all passages in which this word
"pascha" occurred, except in Acts 12:4. In the Revised
Version the proper word "passover," is always used."
Easter, as
such, was never observed by the apostles.
-Why Good Friday?.Matthew
12:40
How does one get three days
and three nights.(the
time period Emmanuel was dead, between His crucifixion
and
resurrection:.Matthew
12:40).into
the period from Friday to Sunday morning? Some have said and they appear
to be correct that:."First,
in Jewish idiom
any part of a day counted as a day–night unit:.Genesis
1:5. Thus,
there is no need to 'literalistically' demand that seventy–two hours be
accounted for. This is particularly.evident
in light of Emmanuel's own contention
that he would rise on the third day, not after the third day and
night had ended:.Matthew
16:21; 17:23; 20:19;
Luke
24:46; Matthew 26:61; 27:40,63,64."....Hank

From the time of the Last
Supper before Emmanuel was taken till His resurrection; that's covered
here:.Luke
22nd chapter to Luke 24:46.
