-If our salvation
is assured in Christ, why does Paul warn us about being sure to continue
in the faith?.Colossians
1:23 "If you continue in the faith grounded and settled and be not
moved away from the hope of the gospel, which you have heard and which
was preached to every creature which is under heaven, whereof I Paul am
made a minister."
Verse 23 is better translated,
rather than as a warning, but as what it is, an observation by Paul of
their faith:.'Seeing
that you are continuing in the faith and have not moved away from the hope
of the gospel.....'.
They were sometime alienated,
but not now:.Colossians
1:2,4,8,21."To
the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace
be unto you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Emmanuel the Christ.
Since we heard of your faith in Christ Emmanuel and of the love which you
have to all the saints, who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit.
And you that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked
works, yet now hath he reconciled."
Your salvation is assured
in Christ. One's reward however, is dependent
upon other things such as actions which show compassion
and love.
-If all are to be saved,
what about the remnant
spoken about in Romans
9:27 "Esaias.(Isaiah).also
cries concerning Israel.(who
is 'Israel' today?), Though the
number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall
be saved".and.1Corinthians
3:17 "If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy, for
the temple of God is holy, which temple you are"?.Key
here is 'the temple you are'. Since you are now equal
with the Infinite Intelligence of the multiverse and consequently,
possess powers of creation and resurrection
as God himself, those thoughts you have chosen which dominate you, will
either lift you up or destroy you.(*).
Do you think negative, entertaining selfish, greedy, angry and anxious
states of mind or have you decided to be in all areas of life, the very
best human you can be, emulating
the kindness of Christ?
Re: Romans 9:27:.Romans
11:25,26 "For I would not, brethren, that you should be ignorant of
this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own conceits, that blindness
in part is happened to Israel,.until.the
fulness of the Gentiles be come in. ...And so all Israel shall be saved....."
Re: 1Corinthians 3:17; Paul
is talking about the danger inherent
in laying a different foundation apart from Christ in you:.1Corinthians
3:10,11 "According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a
wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation and another builds thereon.
But let every man take heed how he builds thereupon. For other foundation
can no man lay than that is laid, which is Emmanuel the Christ."
Paul is saying that to be
on the lookout for those who present an
alternate message, intending to undermine
the church back then:.1Corinthians
11:19 "For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are
approved may be made manifest among you." 1John
2:19 "They went out from us, but they were not of us. For if they had
been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us. But they went out,
that they might be made manifest that they all were not of us."
Emmanuel said:.Matthew
15:9-20 "But in vain
they do worship me,
teaching for doctrines
the commandments of men. And he called
the multitude and said unto them, Hear and understand: Not that which goes
into the mouth defiles
a man, but that which comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man. Then
came his
disciples
and said unto him, Know you that the
Pharisees were offended after they heard this saying? But he answered
and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father
has not planted, shall be rooted up. Let them alone. They be blind
leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall
into the ditch. Then answered Peter
and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable.
And Emmanuel said, Are you also yet without understanding? Do not you yet
understand that whatsoever enters in at the mouth goes into the belly and
is cast out into the draught.(toilet)?
But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the
heart and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts,
murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.
These are the things which defile a man. But to eat with unwashen hands
defiles not a man."
Mark 7:20-23
"And he said, That which comes out of the man, that defiles the man. For
from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries,
fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness,
an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All
these evil things come from within and defile the man."
James
said:.James
3:6 "And the tongue
is a fire, a world of iniquity.
So is the tongue among our members, that it defiles the whole body and
sets on fire the course of nature.(toward
negativity and depression) and it is
set
on fire of hell.(or,
the tongue causes trials in our lives, causing 'all hell' to come into
them)."
Matthew
12:34 "O generation of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak good
things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.".(*)
