Others going to
church may do so for
reasons that do not cause them to progress toward a great reward.
Those lacking the substance produced through a belief in being righteous
by faith and faith alone, seem to constantly need
something to 'keep them in line'. Those living this 'shower a week'
religion,
do not comprehend the preciousness of the gift of righteousness Christ
made possible.
Being "in the flesh" has
to do, not with what you are doing,
but in what you are trusting; more.
In the old covenant they
were dead in the spirit.(Deuteronomy
5:29).and
alive to the flesh.('thanks'
to the law:.Romans
8:2-17). In the new
covenant.(Hebrews
8:10: 10:16).we
are dead to the flesh and alive to the spirit:.Romans
7:5,6. Those who trust in the part of the Mosaic Law having to do with
the commandments.(the
standard some preachers use to convict parishioners'
hearts), are in the flesh. Why?
One does not
really 'go
to church'.
Unfortunately many engrossed
in their own so-called
spirituality become like the ancient Pharisees;
that is, their acceptance of you is unlike the Creator's unconditional
love and forgiveness:.Matthew
6:9. These sort
can't see the heart, only the comparison between what they think
to be one's motives
by what they see and hear, with what they carelessly or deceitfully
have told themselves to be true. And this is typical of beliefs that are
'anti-science',
such as vaccines.
Such are they having an air
of superiority about them which carries with it a condescending
attitude toward others, often exemplified
by signs conveying
the message to others that they are unwanted, unneeded and are not respected,
nor will they be listened to.
"How do I listen to others?
I listen as if everyone were my master speaking to me his cherished last
words."....the
Sufi
poet Hafiz.
Public officials and their
bureaucrats, unworthy of the name 'public servants' can be not very
nice when it comes to interactions with what they regard as 'common folk'.
Some of them feel as if they are in a special group of high
muckamuks.
It all comes from an attitude
learned in childhood of disrespect for others, which makes a child say,
'My tricycle is faster than your tricycle'. The attitude is, 'I'm better
than you' and comes without proof, because this attitude disallows information
to the contrary of one's beliefs. Such an attitude is one of the limiting
factors that need to be swept aside if one is ever to rise up spiritually.
The great movie on erasing limitations,.The
Grand Self.would
be helpful for people with limiting attitudes, but only if they take notes
on paper of what may come to their mind while viewing the movie. Avoid
wasting your time unless you're ready for change.
Such types as the ancient
and the modern ones too, are out to bind burdens upon you.(Matthew
23:1-4); conditions that you are
expected to meet before they will allow you into their God forsaken realm:.Matthew
23:23-33. Such is religion
and government. Like paying all the fees which increase for them year by
year?
These people may think you
strange if they believe that only they possess the truth and you, well
you are thought to be just beginning in the truth and being
thus,
must be woefully ignorant of the spirituality they feel they have rights
to monopolize
and effuse.
Such are the leaders and
'would be ascenders'.(those
who crave position and recognition).amongst
others. A church such as this is obviously not at all a spiritual church,
but a carnal
one.
This is a church that would
probably not recognize the pure attitude Emmanuel was describing in this
parable
in Luke:.Luke
18:9-14. This would be more like it:.Ezekiel
33:30-32.
