-Once a Christian, how are we then to live and what to do?

Those in Old Testament times had the same question:.Joshua 24:14-26.

Once a Christian, in the Creator's eyes there is no more fault in you. You are now holy, pure, righteous and perfect.

The job now is to do stuff. What stuff? To live up to the image of equality with God.(Exodus 18:19; Philippians 2:5,6; Galatians 5:25; 1Peter 1:15,16; Ephesians 5:14-16; 1Timothy 6:11), just as if you came from an upbringing that knew, let's say, no social graces and you happened to get a position with a company that put you amongst others who were adept in the social world.

You then would soon learn the social graces needed to be equal with them. Christians should be examining themselves from time to time.(2Corinthians 13:5).to be sure that... ...1John 2:24

Having a relationship with this Creator involves learning about Him through conversation.(prayer).with Him and getting knowledge of Him.(study and thinking)

The job now is to reach out to others whose minds may be opened.(*), for how can you reach out to anyone whose mind is closed?

So, then, how to reach those whose mind is open?.Mark 16:15.

Your job is also to use your mind to manifest what you have received.

Other suggestions on what to do:.John 6:28,29; James 2:6,7,23; Colossians 3:8-10; Jeremiah 13:16; Romans 12:2; 2Peter 3:18; Haggai 1:5,7; 2Thessalonians 1:11,12; 2:14.(re: word 'glory'); Hebrews 3:6; 1Peter 3:9-11; 1Timothy 6:3-12; Philippians 3:14; 1Peter 2:5; 2Peter 1:3.(get the knowledge of God).and verses 4-11; Galatians 5:19-26; Ephesians 5:17,18.(something to pray about); Ephesians 5:6; 2Thessalonians 3:1; Colossians 1:9-12; Romans 1:9; Psalms 119:165.(don't take offense at things; also Acts 24:16); Matthew 25:34-40.(see 'Compassion'); Luke 7:12,13; 14:8-14; Matthew 12:35-37.(re: conversation); 11:29; 5:16, 44; 7:24; Isaiah 61:1; 1Thessalonians 4:18; 1Timothy 5:3-8; 6:11; 2Timothy 2:22,23; James 2nd chapter; 1John 2:24.(and how?); Jude 1:21; Job 37:14

It is also important to be aware of your ego. See also 'Why Are We Here' and 'What Does Christ Want?'

-How can I know if guidance.(things that come to my mind).is from the Creator or not?
The things from the Creator are good, leading one to help, serve and encourage others and, as an added benefit, you then have spiritual insight regarding those towards whom you have their best interests at heart. This is being on the pathway of love.

God has already given us all things good. Just learn how to get them.

Does your church build you up or tend to take you down? God does well things up to one's mind, so meditate and see what comes to yours and ask God for what you want to know.

Those who claim they hear voices telling them to do some type of destruction in the name of 'God' are just nuts and need help. Having listened to their egos all their lives and the mostly negative mass mind connected with it, they have tumbled down the hill toward self-destruction.

If you don't rule your ego, it will rule you, putting you mostly at the mercy of the opinions of others and then you won't reign in life. Ever watch the mainstream news? Note how they avoid talking about ways to solve the financial mess the world controllers have made of it and they avoid the truth about one;s immune system choosing instead to destroy if quickly or over time with poisons used.

Note how they never mention the wonderful world of home remedies and alternatives to poisonous vaccinations. Note how you hear little if any about GMO altered concoctions called 'food'. Note how few things by corporations and their bedfellows, governments, are looked into and reported on in depth and towards solution. Nope! It's manufactured news for most western countries.

Also, thoughts that come to mind can seem correct.(example), but may be deceptively in error. For example, what if one feels guided to harm or eliminate some corrupt person in society? What if he or she is hearing voices to 'make right' some wrong by hurting another?

One would never get these thoughts apart from high consciousness principles from the real Infinite Intelligence. Thoughts which well up to one's mind that are from God are absolutely always of higher consciousness. And, what's the framework of those thoughts?

The Creator inspired this to be written:.Romans 13:10 "Love works no ill to his neighbour.....".Would God not also live by what He wanted recorded to help others?.Hebrews 6:18 "That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge.(fled from what?).to lay hold upon the hope set before us."

Matthew 5:43-47 "You have heard that it has been said, You shall love your neighbour and hate your enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you and pray for them which despitefully use you and persecute you; That you may be the children of your Father which is in heaven, for he makes his sun to rise on the evil and on the good and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love them which love you, what reward have you? Do not even the publicans the same? And if you salute your brethren only, what do you more than others? Do not even the publicans so?"

How these thoughts that come to the mind match up with the heart's imbedded intent is the key and one's heart's intent is the product of experience, wisdom, knowledge and overstanding. People often violate their own wisdom in hope of a change being 'in the cards' for them. That's foolish!

However, as spiritual persons we live daily by faith. The far off stuff like 'I think it's God's will that I move to California and open up a T-shirt shop', is your own thoughts. Faith needs not change in location to create fulfilment. If a relationship with your Creator is number one in life, one avoids believing that fulfilment comes because of a locale change, a change which often takes one away from those who may have been showing love and care and into an unknown area, frequently found to be rife with apprehension.

Seeking fulfilment, security, the elusive 'better life', etc., elsewhere in some wild goose chase with a half-baked idea in the mind is just immaturity. Can God not provide where one may now be? Keep life simple for yourself or you'll never enjoy it.

One needs to be sure first of all what God's will for us is. When one understands this and the fact of his equality with the Infinite Intelligence, what need would there even be for the question?

-I go to church and when they have altar calls, I never go, then feel guilty after. The preacher talks about us not being "in the flesh" but in the spirit. I feel like I'm so much "in the flesh" that why bother? I also became concerned about how much they cared for individuals when it seemed more important to them that I conform to how they believe regarding."not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together".
If an altar call moves you to let Christ's nature of love begin ruling in your heart, that is good! If you respond because you feel you need to get something out of your life that you believe is keeping you from God, that is not good. You then believe that God's acceptance of you is not by faith and faith alone in Emmanuel the Christ and feel you have to do something like, resolving to straighten out your behavior, before God accepts you. That is deadly! See 'Righteousness'.

Some go to church weekly with 'being straightened out and cleaned up' in mind and with a sincere desire to walk the walk more perfectly.
