-Philippians
2:14,15 Explain.
Verse 14: 'Don't begrudgingly
do things and do not think of all the reasons you possibly can to avoid
doing good.' One is."blameless".when
he knows he has the righteousness of Christ
in him.
Verse 15, the
word."pure".is
the original Greek for."harmless".
Having compassion
makes a difference in keeping oneself in the love of God:.Jude
1:21,22.
-Colossians
2:15 What did Paul mean when he said Christ."spoiled
principalities and powers"?
The word."spoiled".in
the original is."divested
of all authority". The devil.(deeds
of evil).is
no
problem in your life if you have the same
nature.(?).as
Christ in you.
There are no verses in the
New Testament about warfare with the devil. The scriptures on warfare.(2Corinthians
10:4; 1Timothy 1:18).refer
to overcoming towards a reward,
referring
to reining in
ego things that have been the source of habitual negatives that have made
life so sad; a warfare with the self, as
it were. Punch in 'war' and 'warfare' into one of the free

9:38-40 What's it mean here "no one can
speak lightly evil of me who uses the power of the Creator to do good works"?
Comprised
with.Barnes
New Testament Notes: The word here rendered
'lightly', means 'quickly' or immediately. It means that if one is doing
good works, he or she is solidly in Christ. The meaning of the passage
is, that he to whom the Creator gave the power of working a miracle, by
that he gave evidence that he wasn't an enemy of the ways of love, the
ways of the Creator. He ought not to be prevented from doing what he was
doing, which the disciples, not having the same wisdom Emmanuel had, were
attempting to do. They were castigating
him for the good this person was doing, a good work that they, the disciples
themselves could not as yet do:.Matthew
17:16-20 "And I brought him to your disciples and they could not cure
him...Then came the disciples to Emmanuel apart.(privately).and
said, Why could not we cast him out?..."
Because this man did not
join the disciples to learn more clearly the ways of the Creator, the disciples
agreed among themselves that he had a wayward
purpose. Our Lord thought differently than the disciples in that He opposed
no one who gave evidence.(Matthew
7:16-20).that
he acted in love. Wherever he might be or whatever his work, yet, if he
did it in the name of Emmanuel.(what
does 'in the name of Emmanuel mean'?).and
with the approbation
of God, it was evidence sufficient that he was right.
Christians
should rejoice in good done by their brethren of any denomination.
There are men calling themselves Christians who seem to look with doubt
and suspicion on all that is done by those who do not walk with them. They
undervalue their labours, attempt to lessen the evidences of their success
and to diminish their influence.
True likeness to the Saviour
would lead us to rejoice in all the good accomplished, by whomsoever it
may be done and to rejoice that the realm
of good, the kingdom of Christ.(Ephesians
5:5), also called the kingdom of
heaven and kingdom of God and kingdom of the Father, is advanced.(*),
whether by one of the Christian churches.(Presbyterian,
an Episcopalian, Baptist, Methodist, Lutheran, etc.),
Buddhist, Taoist, Muslim, Jew, etc.:.Philippians
1:18.

Commentary: If this person were not of the Creator his work could
not prosper:.John
9:33 "If this man were not of God, he could do nothing.".A
spirit of bigotry
has little countenance from these passages. There are some who are so outrageously
wedded to their own creed
and religious system, that they would rather let sinners perish than suffer
those who differ from them to become the instruments of their salvation.
Even the good that is done they either deny or suspect, because the person
does not follow them. They are of the ordinary consciousness of humanity
and here leaning more toward the contentious
side.
The same attitude is shown
regarding the man called John the baptist:.John
3:26,27 "And they came unto John and said unto him, Rabbi, he that
was with you beyond Jordan, to whom you barest witness, behold, the same
baptizes and all men come to him. John answered and said, A man can receive
nothing except it be given him from heaven."
-Mark
9:43,44,46,48.What's
this mean?
Emmanuel was talking to His
disciples -verse 35. The."where".being
referred to was a garbage dump on the outskirts of Jerusalem available
for the people there, with which the disciples were all familiar. That
is where."their
worm not dies and the fire not be quenched?".The
fire was a continually burning fire, to burn off the garbage of the city
in this refuse dump. Like any dump, it had worms, etc. Emmanuel uses this
as an analogy to portray verse 43."And
if you hand offend you,
cut
it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, than having
two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched."
The
fire
of hell that shall never.(word
'never', not in original).be
quenched or 'be unquenchable', refers
to life on Earth with its hardships
and sufferings,
engineered
by God to make us think and to
develop character by making choices, whether
or not we may know about Him; to make us think about what may be the
cause of them what can take us out
of them.
The evil is
there for a reason. All is for
bringing us into a relationship
with God, so that we can be truly happy and that, forever:.1Corinthians
2:9.
And that will only happen
to the extent that we are finished with this life, spiritually speaking,
that is, finished with the spiritual negatives.(*),
the things of hate, greed, deceit, resentment, following some things of
the dark side for the sake
of things
of the flesh.
And because of our individual
need for character, we will really only be completely done when we
reach
the kingdom of God.in
our hearts and remain there.
But we must individually
become convinced of this..(See
'Why Are We Here?')
What God is now doing is
long term, for each individual's ultimate benefit. That is why this
is your time in all eternity to be here on Earth.
-John
1:16 What does this scripture mean?
"Of His fullness".means...
and."grace for
grace".means...
-John
20:23 What does this mean about remitting and retaining sins?
Emmanuel was sending His
disciples out.(verse
21).and
was telling them to use discretion
in dealing spiritually with others. With some the disciples
may feel to just move on from.(Matthew
10:14).and
not speak the message of salvation and with others, the opposite.
Matthew
16:19 is similar. These are saying that the people
of God have power to bless others, to remit another's sins. Emmanuel
the Christ
is in them. They have this power. If Christ is in
them, they have His
power to curse and to
bless. So, pray for others.
-John
5:47 What did Moses write of Emmanuel?
From.Easton's
Bible Dictionary:.Moses
is the only character in the Old Testament to whom Christ likens himself:.John
5:46; Luke 24:27,44. References
are: Deuteronomy 18:15,18,19;
Acts
7:37. In Hebrews 3:1-19 this
likeness to Moses is set forth in various particulars.

2:5 Paul seems to think women are at their best when stuck at home?
Life, when young, presents
itself as extremely titillating.
Often our curiosity to 'try it all' ends us up in severe trouble. Lacking
proper
training in childhood and counsel from
those who have 'been through it', relegates
a young person to find out lessons by the hardest way there is, experience.
In this, life is a bitter teacher.
Down the glitzy road of broken
dreams many of us tread, in search of deeper meaning for existence. Disillusioned
and often unable to cope,
many turn to drugs and alcohol. They've been tricked by the
greatest tricker of all time. Some, like
Derek, recover.
Paul in his wisdom could
see the pathway toward utter
destruction for the self. It is too bad these days that many pay the bitter
price for the 'bill of goods' of what they think is to be 'freedom', only
to later discover that the real life is always God and family centered,
their mom and dad, relatives and their mate.(*).and
children.
There is wisdom in restraint.(limiting
yourself from the temptation to sample all that is available).
